GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION Do not allow children to play on or near, and prevent inexperienced or unauthorized persons from operating this equipment. Hitch sprayer to a tractor to stabilize unit prior to filling with liquid or attaching and/or removing major components. Do not operate equipment until all shields, covers and guards are installed. Keep hands, feet and clothing away from moving parts. Do not wear loose-fitting clothes, as they may catch on moving parts. Inspect when first delivered and regularly thereafter for any loose bolts and/or connections. Do not stand between the sprayer and tractor when hitching. Always engage parking brake and stop engine before inserting hitch pin. This sprayer is intended to only spray agricultural chemicals. Attempting to spray other liquids may cause equipment damage and introduce unexpected personal hazards. CHEMICAL HAZARDS Always wear personal protective equipment when working with or near chemicals. This equipment includes, but is not limited to: protective eyewear, gloves, shoes, socks, longsleeved shirt and long pants. Additional protection may be required for many types of chemicals. Spray tank may contain residual toxic chemicals. DO NOT ENTER SPRAY TANK FOR ANY REASON WITHOUT WEARING PROPER VENTILATING EQUIPMENT. Failure to do so may result in suffocation and death. Seek and receive chemical product training prior to using agricultural chemicals. Read and understand the entire label of every chemical being applied with this sprayer. Avoid breathing spray mist or vapor. Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, or using the toilet. Remove clothing immediately if chemicals penetrate clothing and contact skin. Wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing. Dispose of unused chemical in accordance with chemical label directions and local/national regulations.
NOTES 3
. The Inductor should be mounted between the Command Center and LH tire. Use the hardware provided to mount the Inductor to the frame rail between the Command Center and the wheel, (see Fig. A and page 5). Position the Inductor as needed so it does not contact any other part of the sprayer throughout its range of travel and use. MOUNT INDUCTOR HERE 4. Begin the plumbing retrofit by removing the clamp (Item #4 & gasket), connecting valve (Item #3) and elbow (Item #). Remove both clamps (Item #5) & gaskets that are connecting Item #0 to Item # and Item #6. Items #0, # and all fittings between them can now be removed from the Command Center. Elbow (Item #6) will be reused with the Inductor Assembly. (See Fig. 3) Fig. 3 Fig. A. On the Command Center without Inductor, first remove the mounting hardware (Items # and #5) from both sides of the Command Center. (See Fig. ) Proceed by removing (Items #, #3 and #4) from the top holes on both sides of the Command Center. Fig. COMMAND CENTER BEFORE RETROFIT 5. For the Command Center with Inductor, assemble flange elbow (Item #7), flange tees (Item #9) and hose barb (Item #) using the appropriate clamps & gaskets as shown in Fig. 4. 6. Assemble elbow (Item #8) to valve (Item #3) using the appropriate clamp & gasket. 7. Connect Items # and #8 using hose (Item #) and two clamps (Item #3). NOTE: The hose (Item #) will have to be cut to length. Fig. 4 3. Loosen the remaining bolts in order to pivot the Command Center downward. Once the Command Center is tilted downward, the plumbing becomes accessible. (See Fig. ) Fig. COMMAND CENTER AFTER RETROFIT 4
8. Using a -3/4" hole saw, drill a hole in the bottom of the main tank. This hole should be centered between the tank sump and the agitation tank fitting as shown in Figs. 3 and 3A. From the inside of the tank, insert assembled items #, # and #5 (See Fig. 5) into the new -3/4" hole. Secure the tank fitting (TA80096) from the outside using the nut provided. Fig. 4 COMMAND CENTER Fig. 3 HOSE FRAME TONGUE FROM INDUCTOR DRILL HOLE & ADD TANK FITTING HERE Fig. 4A. Route a -/" hose (TA80635) from the main tank to the hose barb (TA8505) on the outlet side of inductor assembly, see Fig. 5. NOTE: For the 00 Sprayer Only, the hose is to be routed over the rod that controls the pump inlet valve, see Fig. 5A. Fig. 3A 9. From the inside of the main tank, route the hose (TA80635) up the baffle, See Fig. 3B and Fig. 5. Create a slot with a cutoff wheel as close as possible to the top of the baffle. The slot should be 3/4" from the edge of the baffle's side. Attach the hose to the baffle using a hose clamp as shown. Fig. 5 TO TANK SUMP Fig. 3B 0. Connect a -/" hose (TA80635) to the flange elbow (Item #7) within the Command Center. Route the hose between the frame and the tongue of the sprayer before attaching to the Pressure-Side of the inductor assembly. See Figs. 4 and 4A. NOTE: Be sure to leave enough hose slack for inductor movement. Fig. 5A TO VALVE HOSE MUST ROUTE ABOVE CONTROL ROD 5
Fig. 6 - Basic Operation BASIC OPERATION Note: Solution tank should contain at least 50 gallons of liquid.. Unlatch inductor lift mechanism and lower to "fill" position.. Valve settings: P UMP INLET SELECTOR <SOLUTION TANK> A GITATION CONTROL <OFF> F ILTER PURGE CONTROL <OFF> P UMP OUTLET SELECTOR <BOOM> I NDUCTOR MIX <OFF> I NDUCTOR DRAIN <OFF> I NDUCTOR FLOW <ON> 3. Start pump. 4. Open INDUCTOR DRAIN valve. 5. Open lid and pour chemical into inductor tank. (If using dry chemical, open IN- DUCTOR MIX valve to mix chemical, using care not to overfill inductor tank.) 6. Close INDUCTOR DRAIN valve when tank is completely empty. 7. Close INDUCTOR FLOW valve then set AGITATION CONTROL and FILTER PURGE CONTROL to proper settings. 8. Close lid and raise tank to storage position. INDUCTOR TANK RINSING Chemical containers and the inductor tank itself can both be rinsed by using clean water from the rinse tank. To do so, ensure that the rinse tank is at least / full, and use the following procedure: Fig. 7 - Inductor Tank Rinsing. Perform steps through 4 under Basic Operation of inductor.. Quickly move PUMP INLET SELECTOR valve from <SOLUTION TANK> to <RINSE TANK>. NOTE: It is recommended to work efficiently while the sprayer pump is drawing from the rinse tank, as the rinse water is returned to the solution tank, not the rinse tank, and therefore the rinse tank will eventually become empty. IMPORTANT: Do not allow pump to run dry. Pump damage will result. 3. To rinse a chemical container, place container upside down on rinse nozzle and squeeze handle on rinse wand. 4. To rinse inductor tank, close lid, open INDUCTOR MIX valve and squeeze rinse wand handle for approximately 0 seconds. 5. Close INDUCTOR MIX valve and release rinse wand when rinsing is complete. 6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for additional rinsing, if desired. 7. When inductor tank is empty, close INDUCTOR DRAIN valve, and quickly move PUMP INLET SELECTOR valve from <RINSE TANK> to <SOLUTION TANK> to minimize the amount of rinse water used. 8. Close INDUCTOR FLOW valve then set AGITATION CONTROL and FILTER PURGE CONTROL to proper settings. 9. Raise tank into locked storage position. 6
