PERFORMANCE PERFORMANCE Temperature stability is a pre requisite for the ECOTHERM thermostatic mixing valve range which incorporates the internationally acclaimed technical advantages of the VERNET CA43 thermostatic cartridge. The valve geometry and water flow ways have been engineered to minimise temperature fluctuations at the point of use where variations in water supply temperatures and pressure occur. Australian ingenuity within the design ensures the ECOTHERM has excellent control during an ambient start up, preventing temperature spikes at the outlet. To maintain a constant mixed water temperature control the ECOTHERM will maintain± 2 C accuracy from the original set temperature after any fluctuation of the water temperature or pressure within the plumbing system. All valves are factory pre-set to 38 C, pressure tested and the anti-scald function is individually checked. The ECOTHERM thermostatic mixing valve will perform equally well in any orientation and has ball valve control from either side of the valve. Each ECOTHERM is supplied with a comprehensive technical installation, commissioning, service, maintenance and troubleshooting booklet.

STAINLESS STEEL BYPASS BALL VALVE ECOTHERM STAINLESS STEEL BYPASS BALL VALVE The ECOTHERM thermostatic mixing valve can be fitted with stainless steel isolation ball valves for those installations requiring extra by pass plumbing. The purpose built ball valve is all directional with tamper proof isolation from either side of the valve depending on which orientation the ball valve is fitted. The outlet fitting of the ball valve is available in 15mm and 20mm and can be either a swiveling elbow or a straight union connection. Examples of the ECOTHERM by pass stainless steel ball valve can be seen in the plumbed box configuration examples shown. Refer to the images of the ball valve showing the swiveling elbow and the straight union connection.

CON FIGUR AT IONS
CON FIGUR AT IONS ECOTHERM CONFIGURATIONS AND BY- PASS OPTIONS The ECOTHERM thermostatic mixing valve basic module is the foundation building block for a myriad of plug in plumbing and by pass options. AVG offers a concealed box with a locked stainless steel door to prevent unauthorized access to the thermostatic mixing valve. The concealed box can be provided plumbed with copper tails or alternatively with male compression connections complete with nuts and olives. The base configuration plumbed with tails, offers hot, cold and mixed water connections in 15mm or 20mm or a mixture of both. All water connections can access the ECOTHERM from above or below or side entry to suit the individual installation requirements. If the hydraulic design requires untempered hot or cold with isolation located within the concealed box, the ECOTHERM comes standard with 15mm, 20mm or a mixture of both plumbed by pass options. In addition to or inclusive of the standard by pass options the ECOTHERM can be plumbed utilizing the stainless steel all directional swivel by pass isolation ball valve. The ball valve assembly can be plumbed with either an all directional swivel elbow for either above or below entry or with a straight connection for side entry. This additional by pass option can be plumbed in either 15mm, 20mm or a combination of both.
TMV MON ITORI NG TMV MONITORING SYSTEM The ECOTHERM thermostatic mixing valve is also available with the ECOTEMP temperature monitoring system which provides institutions with performance data on the day to day operation of the thermostatic mixing valves installed. This function answers the need by government authorities to provide safeguards for patients and carers. The ECOTEMP monitoring system also addresses the NSW health department requirements for monthly temperature readings. This is a time consuming task which will free up plumbing maintenance personnel to carry out other tasks and to save time and money. The ECOTEMP monitoring system is able to provide the maintenance personnel with a print out of the performance of each individual ECOTHERM thermostatic mixing valve throughout the facility. 24 hour monitoring Alert status alarm Automatic temperature logging Statistical reports to assist maintenance personnel Reporting program tailored to the engineering staff requirements Optional thermistor protocols The ECOTEMP thermostatic mixing valve monitoring system is ideal for new installations Australian Valve Group Pty Ltd Unit 2, 9-11 Noble St, Kewdale, WA, 6105 PO Box 430, Belmont, WA, 6984 Tel: 1800 AVG AUS (284 287) Fax: (08) 9353 2689 ABN: 89 068 227 270
