3. BWAC control function description Start & end cleaning process Cold water Warmup time Start Heating time Hot water extraction Off Time Dynamic Time Heating Up time 8
The control BWAC is used the time-controlled to provide hot water. There are up to three shifts to start a water treatment available. Or an automatic mode for the use of the Merlin, which automatically refilled water and heated without fixed times. In the display, the time is displayed in the ground state. All data and values are backed up captive in a store, so no settings be lost also in case of a power failure. 3.1 Process water treatment at hand start: After manual start will open the cold water valve (VE). The water level in the tank reaches the level electrodes, the water valve (VE) is switched off after an adjustable delay (P86). Now the heating (H) via the relay K1, directly switched on and heated the water to the desired temperature (P1). After the water has been heated successfully to the temperature, "Hot water ready" LED lights up and the hot water can be used. Up to of the water the water is heated up after falling below the set hysteresis (P2). In the display, the F1 tank temperature will be shown from heating up and up to the removal of the water. The process is terminated with the decrease in the level, now starts a temperature monitoring option to the end of the line. 3.2 Process water treatment start via timer: Three independent times with each a separate process parameters can be defined for the start on the built-in timer. To start the timer opens the water valve (VE). The water level in the tank reaches the level electrodes, the water valve (VE) is switched off after an adjustable delay. Now the heating (H) is switched on as needed depending on the setting (the heating time is calculated and the heating according to ahead of planned water withdrawal time switched on). After the water was heated to the temperature (P1) successfully, "Hot water ready" LED lights up and the hot water can be used. Up to of the water the water is heated up after falling below the set hysteresis (P2). The display is heating up and up to the water intake tank temperature displayed. The process is completed with the decrease in the water level. 3.3 Automatic operation for use on the Merlin In automatic operation (P88 = 1) prepares the controller after removal of hot water and drain of the lock directly new hot water. The time settings of P10 to P34 are then without function. An any open drain valve (Relais3) closes automatically. 3.4 Process start after power up or exit the parameters menu After the power up, and exit the parameter menu, the control adjusts the settings on an active "process window". The current time within a process window (time between lead time and planned water intake) is located and has not already started a process, a new process is started. 9
3.5 Monitoring of the outlet temperature (optional): Is a second sensor connected and activated (P97) monitored the process temperatures. The monitoring starts with the decrease in the level and reach a minimum temperature (P80) on the outlet for the time (P81). Within this time frame, the time is logged in the outlet temperature is greater than or equal to an adjustable minimum temperature (P82). That is logged time less the adjustable minimum time (P83) now at the end of the monitoring is the F2 error and the led "Temperature error" to the start of a new process. The outlet temperature of the display will be shown during the monitoring phase. 3.6 Lock time: From the time of the hot water dispensing begins a lockout time (P87), which prevents that a new process can be started. This is to prevent time overlapping that when rinsing with hot water already cold water is admitted. After the lockout time is displayed again the time and the control unit is ready to start a new process. 1
3.7 Dynamic heating time calculation The heating time in minutes is calculated according to the formula: volume of water * 72 * temperature difference / (heat output * power factor) = time E.g.: 240 litres * 72 * 87 degrees / (4500 * 0.9 Watts) = 371 minutes according to the calculated time is switched on the heating system before the planned water intake. Up to the switching on the heating LED is flashing. 3.8 Heating up time: Error F1: The level falls within the heating phase, a process is terminated. F1 flashes in the display. The error must be confirmed by pressing SET. (possible error: water taken early leakage in the boiler or the cables...) ) Error F2: The output temperature monitoring is enabled and the output temperature reached the minimum temperature (P82) for the time (P83) is shown the F2 error flashing in the display and the led "Temperature error". The error must be confirmed by pressing SET. (possible error: temperature too low temperature before removing dropped...) Error F3: The drain valve in "Manual operation" is configured and open at the beginning of the process timer, (1 = P85) F3 flashing error on the display and start the process. The error must be confirmed by pressing SET. 10
4. Setting the clock Briefly pressing the SET button briefly displays the time. (if not already displayed) How to set:. SET longer hold the button until the hour flashes. The hours can only und be adjusted. Pressed the SET button takes you to the minutes. These can be changed like the hours. Press the SET button again to save and exit the clock setting mode. 11
