Mail and Packages Your address is: YOUR NAME 1608 Rhode Island Ave NW Apartment # Washington, DC 20036 You must have a UCDC ID to pick up your package. You will receive an email from ResidentialServices@ucdc.edu once your package is ready to be picked up from the office. Outgoing Mail is placed in lobby mailbox beside the MPR
Cleaning Schedule: Monday: floors 4/5 Tuesday: floors 6/7 Housekeeping Wednesday: floors 8/9 Thursday: floors 10/11 Includes bathroom, kitchen floor, vacuum living room Check your cleaning form if you have questions Cannot opt out of this service without permission from Director of Student Services Trash and recycling should be emptied throughout the week in the trash room at the end of the hall on each floor.
Residents are responsible for Clearing the bathroom counter and shower area of ALL items the day cleaning is scheduled. Cleaning the kitchen and appliances. Cleaning their bedrooms. Vacuums are available in the lobby. Keeping common areas clean. Environmental Health and Safety inspections will occur throughout the term.
Fitness Center Treadmill, Elliptical Machine, Stationary Bike, and Weight Training Equipment Please be mindful of duration of use of machines (30 minute limit if someone else is waiting) Please do not use the treadmill during quiet hours (11pm-8am Sun-Thursday Nights, 1am-10am Friday & Saturday Night)
Avenue C Unstaffed Market Closes Thursday, Friday, & Saturday at 11:00pm. Open 24 hours Sunday-Wednesday Camera Monitored Located on 4 th Floor UCDC pays a service fee to the vendor for this service. It is not a profit making venture so please do not take things without paying for them Penalty for theft: Minimum $150 fine and purchasing the items stolen

Student Conduct Violations sent to home campuses UC campuses: 7 years on your record Failure to pay fines or replacement costs may result in a freeze on your campus account (i.e. transcripts, class registration, diplomas) Removal from housing = Removal from academic program

Alcohol Consumption 21+ Years Old Responsible drinking allowed (without other conduct violations) Under 21 No drinking, responsible or otherwise Open Container Law No alcohol in public spaces basically anywhere outside of your room Alcohol Volume Kegs, 24+ packs, Handles, etc. Empty alcohol containers = consumed alcohol
Alcohol Poisoning: A Medical Emergency How can you tell if someone is about to become a victim of alcohol poisoning? PASSING OUT DOESN'T MEAN SLEEPING IT OFF Signs and Symptoms: Unconscious or semi consciousness Slow respiration (breaths) of eight or less per minute or lapses between breaths of more than eight seconds Cold, clammy, pale or bluish skin What to do: Call 24-hour Emergency Line: 202-415-9275 and 911 If you have concerns please call the emergency line-we are here to help!

Guest Visitation Procedures No guests until Monday, June 25 at 7am - Apartment Agreement form due BEFORE any guests if all apartment mates here. If not, see Ruben Torres for your date. Day Guests: 7am-1am vs Overnight Guests: 1am-7am Day guests must be signed in as overnight guests at 1am Procedures: 1. Notify/coordinate with your apartment 2. Check in your guest(s) w/ security 3. Escort guests at all times 4. Check out your guest(s) w/ security
Guest Limitations No more than 2 overnight guests/apartment/night No more than 5 nights within a 21 day period per guest 21 days begins on their first night if they reach this limit, must wait another 21 days from their last night before they may visit again Cannot give guests keys, fobs, or UCDC IDs Failure to follow procedure may result in a conduct policy violation and loss of guest privileges. Roommate Conflicts and Mediation We will ask you to: 1. Complete the Apartment Agreement form by the due date (June 25th). 2. Talk with your roommates calmly and respectfully about any issues that are occurring (see www.ucdc.edu/residential/mediation). 3. Contact a CSD for mediation assistance.

Air Flow & Temperature Control Temperature Setting: Keep it consistent. On/Off: Fresh Air will ALWAYS flow into your apartment regardless of your setting. Fan Speed: High/Medium/Low determines how quickly your air moves into your apartment. Talk with your roommates about what temperature you would like your apartment set at.
