SPECIFIC REGULATIONS FOR FREE DESIGN STANDS The Free Design option is available from 64 m2 upwards; exhibitors can choose this option in the Online Space Application Form. All companies are obliged to assemble a stand, including at least the walls separating the stand from the wall or the hall or other stands. Companies which choose to build their own stands will have to send the project to the Exhibition Services Department of IFEMA to have it approved, by 10 September 2013: Fax: (34) 91 722 51 27 E-mail: stecnica@ifema.es The company responsible for the assembly of a stand will have to pay IFEMA, before it begins its work, the assembly right fees for the services rendered during the assembly and disassembly period of the Fair. With the object of having a Fair which is open, accessible and which can offer the greatest possible visibility for each exhibitor, the specific assembly regulations for free design stands are as follows: HEIGHT For exhibitors in the Producers Zone, and within the first metre of the perimeter zone which looks onto the corridor, and within the spaces between the exhibitor's stand and the adjacent exhibitors, no element whatsoever over 1 metre in height may be placed. Regulation 1st Floor Regulation 2nd Floor For exhibitors in the Auxiliary Industry Area, the maximum allowed height on the perimeter is 4 m. Regulation 1st Floor Regulation 2nd Floor
In order to raise or to hang any decorative element at a maximum height of 6m, it is necessary to set back 1m towards the inside along the length of the perimeter. This is not possible, however, in the connecting modules between halls, or in the side entries of hall 9. Construction elements, decoration and lights, cannot protrude by over 50 cm out of the designated space, and starting from a minimum height of 2.5 m. BLIND PERIMETER WALLS Blind perimeter walls can be made but cannot exceed 50% of each façade on the corridor. If the exhibitor wishes to have longer walls, they will have to be set back at least 3 metres towards the interior and cannot be longer than 80% of the length of the façade. The back walls of the stands will have a neutral finish with a quality similar to the interior of the stand, and no type of logo or sign can be placed on any of them.
