Smart Home Innovation & Evolution Smart Technology for the Smart House Key Benefits» Energy management system for consumers: Enables consumers to control energy usage and efficiency by remotely measuring and controlling any plugged in appliance. By showing energy consumption and cost of operating individual appliances in real-time money-saving adjustments can be made.» When connected to Smart Meters: Electricity utilities can control total or specific load for peak shaving. Phone browser & web applications for consumers provides a tool to view all usage information, and receive automatic alerts. Open architecture- Powercom solutions are based on open APIs allowing developers access to modify the solutions according their needs. Robust Communication System-uses RF communication between the in home displays and the appliance control units within the house. Consumer focus-easy to use products with user friendly interfaces. Easy Installation-The solution is plug and play (except for the Appliance Control Unit that requires a technician).

Home Energy Management Devices Appliance Control Unit & Socket Meter AMI Load Control Devices The Appliance Control Unit & Socket Meter reads energy consumption for each house appliance. They are also used as appliance (load) control devices. The units, allow the utilities (when part of an AMI solution) or the customers to control the appliances at the customer premises. It consist of an internal relay to remotely connect/disconnect. The unit stores the consumption and sends the information by radio frequency to the In House Display unit or the master AMI system through the Smart Meter. It measures voltage, current, frequency, and power. FEATURES Single Phase and Poly Phase connection. Fully featured IEC standard, Certified to IEC 62052-11, 62053-11, Class 2, for active energy Measures active energy, RMS voltage, RMS current, power factor, frequency TOU with 4 tariffs and 8 customer billing cycles Two step tariffs can be activated over a designated time (upon time or consumption) Integrated Load Switch (10-40Amp) Load disconnection when configurable power thresholds are exceeded Event log with circular memory buffer Large-character LCD manual and auto-scrolling display Hardware and software security protection Includes RS485 and RF (optional) communications Digital Input and output for event reading and additional control functionality Multi current thresholds: Imax (protects the utility circuit breakers), critical (in power shortage will limit consumption), and debt (limit when the customer has existing debt) Long life time of 15 years

Home Energy Management Devices In Home Display Units TV Display Units, Smart Pad & PC Dongle These are three low-cost options for displaying utility consumption on either the home TV, a smart pad, or a PC via a USB dongle. All the information from the meters will be displayed on any of these units. The devices collect the complete information from all the meters, including historical data, and presents it to the customer. The units also communicates to smart devices such as socket meters and appliance control units inside the house and allows the customers to monitor and schedule their operation (hot water, air conditioning, under-floor heating, swimming pool pump, etc.). The units also have the capability to allow the customers to enter their prepayment tokens. For further information please contact us: Joseph Wittman VP Business Development Powercom Ltd.
