OVERVIEW The Dual Technology Occupancy/Vacancy Sensor Switch applies Lutron s exclusive XCT Technology to the ultrasonic as well as the passive infrared technology in this sensor to create a product that can detect very fine otion, such as typing. This product also includes: adaptive relay switching, sart abient light detection, and siple button presses for changing settings. This switch is available in single-circuit and dual-circuit versions. The single-circuit versions (WS XX DT) can be used to eet any of the Title 2/24, ASHRAE 9., and IECC code requireents such as autoatic shutoff. The dual-circuit version (WS OS DTDR) can be used to eet any of the Title 2/24, ASHRAE 9., and IECC code requireents such as autoatic shutoff and ulti-level lighting control. CUSTOM SETTINGS DETAILS Abient Light Detection (ALD) ode Lights turn on only when natural light in the roo is below the set threshold. Learning: The abient light threshold adjusts to the user s preference via anual interaction with the sensor switch. Fixed: Choose a fixed ALD light level fro four pre-set options: gh, iu, Low, and Miniu Manual Off Wle-Occupied Options ENABLED (default setting) When the sensor switch is anually turned off, the sensor switch will not turn the lights back on autoatically while the roo is occupied. Once the roo is vacated, the Auto-On feature returns to noral operation after the tieout period has expired. This ay be the preference in conference roos or classroos while viewing presentations. This feature requires otions to keep the lights off. DISABLED When the sensor switch is anually turned off, the Auto-On feature will return to noral operation after 2 seconds. This ay be the preference in a restroo if the user always wants the lights to turn on upon entering and the lights to turn off when the roo is vacant. Walk-Thru ENABLED If otion is not detected within 3 inutes after initial occupancy, the lights will turn off after 3 inutes, instead of the current tieout. This setting ay be the preference in coercial applications where personnel ay briefly trigger sensors during non-working hours. DISABLED (default setting) When otion is detected, the lights will ALWAYS reain on for the entire tieout duration, regardless of the duration of occupancy detection. inute tieout would be overridden if walk-thru ode is also enabled SENSOR SWITCH PLACEMENT The sensor switch perfors better with an unobstructed view of roo occupants. Hot objects and oving air currents can affect the perforance of the sensor switch. The sensor switch perfors best when located 6ft (.8) or ore away fro hot objects or oving air currents. The perforance depends on a teperature differential between the abient roo teperature and that of roo occupants. Warer roos ay reduce the ability of the sensor switch to detect occupants. The ultrasonic perforance can be affected by air currents and oving objects. Consider the effects of fans, HVAC vents, open windows, or oving objects when installing the sensor switch. DEFINITIONS Major otion: oveent of a person entering or passing through an area. Minor otion: oveent of a person occupying an area and engaging in sall activities (e.g., reaching for a telephone, turning the pages of a book, opening a file folder, picking up a coffee cup). Fine Motion: oveent of a person occupying an area and engaging in very sall activities (e.g., reading a agazine). Very Fine Motion: oveent of a person occupying an area and engaging in very sall activities (e.g., typing on a keyboard). ORDERING INFORMATION PART NO. CAT. NO.
