L203 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Battery Instructions The L203 operates on 3 x standard Alkaline AA batteries, first remove the battery compartment cover by pushing down on the latch. Insert batteries into the battery compartment as indicated, make sure the polarities are correct before replacing the cover. Levelling and Turning on Laser The L203 Multi Line Laser is automatically levelling. Rotating the pendulum locking knob clockwise from off to on will allow the L203 to self level and power it up. NOTE: if the L203 emits a loud beeping sound and the laser lines flash then the body of the laser is outside of self levelling range. The L203 can be roughly levelled into self levelling range by rotating the adjustment feet using the bullseye vial. The bubble vial does NOT need to be perfectly central, as long as the out of level arm is not sounding then the published accuracy will be achieved. 4 www.level1lasers.com.au

L203 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Horizontal Line Pulse Mode Manual Mode Vertical Line #1 Vertical Line #2 Power LED The L203 s can now be turned on as required. For the horizontal press the H button and the two Verticals the V1 and V2 buttons, note as you turn on the vertical lines the plumb down dot will also be powered up. To power off individual lines again press either H, V1 and V2 as desired. To power off the complete laser unit rotate the pendulum lock to the off position. The L203 features a manual level mode, which forces the laser lines to turn on without first unlocking the pendulum, this can be handy to have a laser line at a custom angle such as balustrades. To enter manual mode DO NOT unlock pendulum leave in off position. Press the manual button and the Manual Mode LED with flash and the Line buttons can be pressed to turn on the laser lines, the body of the laser can be tilted in any angle that you require. To exit manual mode press the Manual Level button once again and the L203 will power down. The L203 also features Pulse mode, this allows the lines to be picked up by optional line laser receivers such as the LR200. Pressing the P pulse button toggles this feature on and off. www.level1lasers.com.au 5

L203 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Using with Optional Electronic Line Receiver The L203 can be used with an optional electronic Line receiver such as LR200. Using a receiver allows the L203 to be used outdoors in full sun where the lines are no longer visible to the human eye. Once the L203 is in pulse mode the receiver will pick up the position of either the horizontal or vertical lines (receiver on its side) and will indicate were the laser line is to 1mm accuracy. LR200 (optional extra) Modes of Operation The L203 can be used for just about any indoor applications weather you need to plumb up or down, level, align or square this laser can do it. The L203 can even be useful outdoors using an optional receiver with the lines in pulse mode. Horizontal Horizontal & Verticals Plumb Up & Down The L203 can be manually rotated on its base on its plumb axis, handy for setting out a 90 degree square with the two verticals. The L203 can also be mounted on a standard 5/8 11tpi survey thread tripod such as the optional iet68, the thread can be found in the centre of the base. 6
