PART B - LANDLORD APPLICATION AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS I hereby apply to Plymouth University ("the University") for the inclusion of the property (or part of the property) identified in Part A of this form ("the Property") in the University's register of properties available for letting to students ("the Register"). 1 I declare that I have read and understood the information leaflet for landlords sent to me by the University. 2 I accept that the University may within its absolute discretion include or refuse to include the Property in the Register. 3 If the University includes the Property in the Register, I accept the following terms and conditions: 3.1 in consideration of the University including the Property in the Register I represent, warrant and undertake that: 3.1.1 the Property is safe and without risks to health and complies in all respects with the applicable health, safety and planning regulations and British and European standards governing fire safety and prevention measures and precautions, the use of gas and electricity and of gas and electric appliances, the use and labelling of soft furnishings, the use of safety signs and signals, the condition of lifts and structural safety (together "the Safety Regulations"); 3.1.2 I will ensure, by regular maintenance, inspection and other appropriate measures, that the Property continues to be safe and without risks to health and continues to comply with all applicable Safety Regulations; 3.1.3 I will notify the University immediately if the Property no longer complies with any one of the Safety Regulations; 3.1.4 I will take out and maintain in force with a reputable insurance company adequate insurance against the accidental death of or personal injury to or illness or disease contracted by any student of the University to whom I let the Property (and any visitor of any such student) arising from the occupation or use of the Property; 3.1.5 the information I have provided in Part A of this form is accurate in all respects and I will notify the University immediately of any change in that information; 3.1.6 I will make the Property available for inspection by the University within seven days of receiving a written request to that effect from the University; 3.1.7 I understand that the standards within the accommodation that landlords are asked to achieve by the University may be more than that which can be enforced in law; 3.2 The University will use its reasonable endeavours to make relevant details of the Property available to students who seek accommodation in the area in which the Property is located. 3.3 The University may at any time within its absolute discretion by written notice to me remove the Property from the Register. The notice need not contain any reasons for the removal and shall be deemed to be received by me within two working days of being posted.
