The Embarcadero District will be a place for The Embarcadero District includes a world-class event venue, a variety of hospitality options, urban spaces. This plan is carefully crafted to allow a mixture of appropriate, sustainable, and prosperous active uses. It increases and extends public open space along the waterfront to optimize public access, views, and connectivity. As San Diego locals, our experiences at Seaport Village are deeply meaningful. We will sustain key pieces to establish continuity from past to future. The historic carousel will be maintained as a generational experience. The public open spaces and opportunities relax, learn, and recreate by the water will increased and enlarged. We will explore the possibility of integrating existing tenants into newly created spaces that encourage name and legacy. The proposal also includes maximizing the use of existing public spaces to enhance the overall draw to the waterfront from both the residential and visitor markets. These open public spaces along with the proposed entrance of the the public s enjoyment of the waterfront. Additionally, hundreds of local jobs will be created during the construction and operation of the aquarium. With the addition of the aforementioned aquarium, Ripley s will establish a world class entertainment attraction that will serve as a stronger catalyst to both the residential and visitor markets to drive visitation to the San Diego waterfront.
