2 of 5 5/17/2012 9:34 AM plants attract wildlife to the garden. So let's RETHINK how to use more low water requiring plants to create lovely surroundings and make a positive impact on our environment. The Southern California Edison Pump Station in Orange, CA., designed by Clark & Green Associates, illustrates the efficiencies of water and maintenance thru sustainable plant selections while offering an attractive landscape vista for passersby. "We feel proper education, knowledge and training is critical in order for a landscape to have any chance at being more sustainable. It doesn't matter how progressive or intelligently designed a landscape is if it just falls apart over years of improper maintenance. The beauty of this type of landscape is that if well managed, the necessary maintenance continues to decline as it matures, approaching a more sustainable state." Bob Clark - ASLA, principal at Clark & Green Associates,Costa Mesa, CA.
