Design Intent The redesign of the existing retail buildings in will transform the current look into a state-of-the-art retail center. By employing a variety of colors, materials and forms, a fresh new look will now serve shoppers of the center. Horizontal canopies and colorful awnings will reduce the scale of the buildings and make the sidewalk area pedestrian friendly. The introduction of quality materials such as veneer stone at the base will upgrade the level of design. Forms along the parapet, supplemented by a change in plane (in and out) of the building front will break up the rectangular form to provide interest. The building height will also vary, giving the center more presence in addressing the street and serving as backdrop to the merchants signage. This combination of material, color, form and scale will yield an amenity to the community and serve merchants for years to come.
