COLORS AND MATERIALS Interior Color Palette An aspect of the study, with a focus on apprearance, was to adopt a palette of colors and materials for all interior surfaces. Though the various improvements may be implemented in increments according to funding, each increment adheres to this coordinated groups of finishes and, with each stage, brings the overall school closer to a fully-coordinated and updated look. Alternatives were reviewed by the focus group, and this palette was preferred as being lively and energizing without being overly juvenile, appealing to all ages. The photo below is taken from a collage of actual matertial samples. The colors may not be represented accurately due to the variations in printing systems. Refer to the actual sample panel, maintained in the school office, for true color reference. This is simply a palette, and not a complete color and finish design. With each improvement, the specific applications will need to be determined by the designer to both adhere to the palette and to coordinate with any foregoing applications at the time. feature at classroom entries office multi-use study paint colors, school pre-k OPTIONS FOR REFINISHING THE INTERIORS Lobby proposed remodeling as illustrated Corridors new vinyl and carpet flooring resurfacing selected walls new acoustical ceiling with features, lighting new cabinetry, millwork, seating, furniture new vinyl flooring new acoustical ceiling with lighting tackable wall surfacing classroom entry features Restrooms new porcelain tile flooring and ceiling new lighting repaired and re-painted lockers new lavatory fixtures new counters and dispensers note: The colors on this exhibit do not represent the actual proposed colors.
