Fire alarm systems shall be installed per the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) Fire Protection Engineering for Facilities Change 3, March 1, 2013. 27. Per UFC Section 5-6.7 Sleeping Rooms and Duty Rooms shall have 24 Vdc photoelectric analog/addressable smoke detectors installed in all barracks, dormitories, lodges, temporary or transient living facilities sleeping rooms and entry/common area to bedrooms, and duty rooms located in business or other occupancies. 28. Smoke detectors in sleeping rooms must cause the sounder base to activate for all smoke detectors in that suite and an alarm signal to activate at the FACP, but must not activate the building s evacuation alarm. 2. Sheet E2.7 - FIRST FLOOR FIRE ALARM & MECHANICAL PLAN a. Storage Room 141 Add a pull station at the inside of the exterior door exiting the room. b. Add (1) system smoke detector to the following rooms: 143, 144, 145, 147. c. Add (2) system smoke detectors to the following rooms: 141. d. In all typical dorm/sleeping rooms, the new 120 volt duct detector shall e. All fire alarm devices shown on this sheet shall be system devices. Wire 3.
