TOWN OF PALM BEACH DATE: October 19, 2017 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MEDIA CONTACT: Patricia Strayer, P.E., Town Engineer Phone: 561-838-5440, Email: pstrayer@townofpalmbeach.com Construction and Traffic Highlights for the Week of 10/23/2017 (1) FLAGLER MEMORIAL BRIDGE: Construction continues on the Flagler Memorial Bridge. For more information about the Flagler Memorial Bridge Replacement Project, call Public Information Officer Angel Gardner at (561) 886-8773 or email her at Angel@valeringroup.com. Information can also be found on the project website: www.flaglerbridge.com (2) SOUTHERN BOULEVARD BRIDGE: Construction continues on the Southern Boulevard Bridge. The westbound lane of Southern Boulevard Bridge will be closed nightly from 9:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Monday, Oct. 23, until Friday, Oct. 27. Flaggers will maintain two-way traffic in the eastbound lane as crews install a concrete barrier wall at the northeast corner of Southern Boulevard and Flagler Drive and restripe a portion of the bridge and intersection. In addition, there will be intermittent lane closures at Flagler Drive and Southern Boulevard with flaggers directing traffic during this time. At the end of the week of October 23, traffic will be shifted to the west on Flagler Drive north of Southern Boulevard. This will eliminate the dedicated left-turn lane from southbound Flagler Drive to eastbound Southern Boulevard. Southbound traffic on Flagler Drive will be able to make left turns from the southbound travel lane. Information can also be found on the project website: www.southernblvdbridge.com or http://www.d4fdot.com/pbfdot/southern_boulevard_sr80_bridge_replacement.asp (3) STREET LIGHT REPLACEMENT-TOWNWIDE: The Town s street light contractor will be working on North County Road or Bradley Place from Wells Road to Royal Poinciana Way performing electrical and restoration work. The contractor will also be working on Cocoanut Row from Royal Poinciana Way to Chapel Hill Road and on South County Road from Royal Palm Way to Worth Avenue. Two lanes of Traffic will be maintained. (4) LAKE TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS: Paving work will resume at the following locations as soon as the high tides subsides. The path will be closed at these locations from October 16 until November 17. Dunbar Road Cul-De-Sac Whitehall Way toward Seaview Ave.

(5) NIGHTINGALE TRAIL AND LA PUERTA WAY UNDERGROUND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS: Please read construction signage carefully while travelling in that area. Road restoration of La Puerta Way from North Lake Way to North Ocean Way. Residents and visitors are asked to refrain from on-street parking in that area. (6) TOWN-WIDE UNDERGROUNDING (ONONDAGA AVE. TO NORTH TOWN LIMITS) Laurie Lane & Onondaga will be closed to through traffic (Local Traffic Only) for water main and storm drainage installation. North Ocean Blvd (from Mediterranean Rd. to Indian Rd.) - One lane of traffic will be closed for the installation of underground conduit. North Ocean Blvd (from south of East Inlet Drive South north towards East Inlet North) - One lane of traffic will be closed for the watermain installation. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. Contractor will also work on Saturday, October 21, 2017. (7) AT&T WORK IN THE RIGHT OF WAY- AT&T s contractor Hypower has a Right of Way Permit to install new conduit on Cocoanut Row from Australian Avenue to Royal Palm Way. The Contractor intends to work form the parallel parking spaces adjacent to the southbound lane. They also have a Right of Way Permit for Australian Avenue from Cocoanut Row east to South County Road and also intend to use the parallel parking along the north side of the road. Work at the Intersection of Cocoanut Row and Royal Palm Way will be performed at night to minimize traffic impacts. Sidewalk restoration will occur on northbound South County Road just south of Royal Poinciana Way. Flaggers and advanced warning signs will be present to assist traffic flow. (8) SOUTHERN BOULEVARD WATERMAIN MAINTENACE: The City of West Palm Beach s contractor is Felix Associates of Florida will be performing inspections and maintenance on the City s watermain. The project from Washington Road in West Palm Beach to South Ocean Boulevard in Palm Beach. The maintenance is anticipated to be completed on or before November 22, 2017. Two-way traffic will be maintained on Southern Boulevard. Intermittent closures, when required, will be scheduled to occur during nighttime hours. (9) CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH WATER SERVICE WORK- The City has been issued a Right of Way permit for 1098 North Lake Way and 170 Seaview for new water services. Work is not expected to last more than a day or two. The City will maintain access to all residences in the area. Traffic will be maintained with signs and flaggers. The following locations will include pavement restoration for service work previously completed. 217 Miraflores Drive 221 Oleander Ave Fairview Road and Slope Trail 200 Esplanade Way 1053 N Lake Way 1098 N Lake Way (10) FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT FPL has been issued a Right of Way permit and will be working in the following locations. Traffic will be maintained by signs and flaggers. Bradley Place at Oleander Avenue North County Road at Seminole Avenue

North County Road at Everglade Avenue North County Road at Atlantic Avenue (11) WATERMAIN MAINTENANCE: The City of West Palm Beach will be working on Sunrise Avenue between Bradley Place and North County Road. The contractor is in the testing phase of the project for the newly installed water main and starting the cleanup and restoration process. Parallel on-street parking will not be available during the time the work is being performed. Two-way traffic will be maintained by signs and flaggers throughout Sunrise Avenue in the limits of construction. Please drive carefully within the area. (12) TOWN WIDE CURB PAINTING: This project involves painting of existing yellow curbing throughout Town. There may periodic blocking of parking stalls to complete these tasks. Curb painting staff will be wearing safety vests or safety shirts when in ROW, no traffic flow should be impeded. (13) STREET LIGHT PAINTING: The Towns painting contractor, Roof Painting by Hartzel, will be painting streetlights adjacent to Town roadways. There will be intermittent sidewalk closures and parking space closures. There will be advanced warning signs posted, traffic cones, and flagmen directing pedestrian s and traffic to alternate routes as needed. The following streets and roadways will be affected: 400 block of Royal Palm Way Gulfstream Rd 200 Block of Seaspray Avenue S. Ocean Blvd from Barton Avenue to Sloan s Curve S. County Road from Worth Avenue to El Bravo (14) PRESSURE WASHING: This involves the pressure washing of the concrete sidewalks. All work occurs on the sidewalks. Equipment is truck/trailer mounted and will utilize parking stalls. No traffic should be effected. North and South sides of Royal Park Bridge South Ocean Boulevard from Royal Palm Way to Gulfstream road South Ocean Boulevard from Sloans Curve south to Town line, all benches and bench pads (15) TOWN WIDE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF DAMAGED SIDEWALKS: This project involves the removal and replacement of individual sections of cracked or damaged sidewalks. There will be intermittent parking stall closures while the work is being performed. The following streets and roadways will be affected: -South Ocean Blvd. -Via Marina -Gulfstream Road -Middle Rd -Hammon Ave -Peruvian Ave -Chilean Ave -Australian Ave -S. Lake Drive -Clarke Ave -Main Street -Sunset Ave -Seminole Ave - Everglade Ave -Wells Circle -Park Ave -North County Road -Royal Palm Way

-Seaspray Ave -Cocoanut Row -Brazilian Ave -Sea Breeze Ave (16) COUNTRY CLUB ROAD TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE: Due to work being performed on the D-8 Pump Station Public Works has to place a trailer mounted temporary generator in the roadway in front of the station. The road will be open to local traffic only until further notice. (17) ISLAND ROAD BRIDGE REPAIRS - This project involves the removal and replacement of individual sections of cracked or damaged concrete along the bridge and pavement resurfacing which will require a single lane closure from Monday Oct 23 th to Friday Oct 27 th. The bridge will remain open to traffic and MOT will be maintained with signs and flaggers by the contractor. (18) AT&T has acquired a Right Of Way permit: To excavate in the Southbound lane on Cocoanut Row between Seaspray Avenue to Royal Palm Way. Impacts to the pedestrian sidewalk adjacent to the work will also be impacted. The Contractor will be working between the hours of 9AM and 2:30PM and on Saturday. Two-way traffic will be maintained with signs and flaggers. (19) SOUTH COUNTY ROAD-TOWN HALL SQUARE: Single Lane closures between Peruvian Avenue and Brazilian Avenue. Contractor to maintain minimum of one north bound and one southbound lane of traffic. There will be advanced warning signs posted, traffic cones, and flagmen directing pedestrian s and traffic to alternate routes as needed. Parallel parking will be impacted adjacent to the lane closure. (20) FPU GAS LINE REPLACEMENTS: Road restoration will take place on the following streets. Traffic will be directed by flaggers. Royal Poinciana Plaza S. County Rd between Peruvian Ave and Worth Ave TOWN REMINDERS: 1. Private construction projects are limited to three (3) on-street parking permits. Adherence to this rule will improve the effectiveness of the crews collecting vegetation from the right of way. 2. Landscape contractors and residents; regular collection schedules have resumed, per ordinance, during the months of May through and including the month of October, trash may be placed on the public right-of-way, adjacent to the property from which it came, not more than three days prior to the scheduled day of collection. RIGHT-OF-WAY PERMITS Private construction projects are limited to three (3) on-street parking permits. Surrounding residents should not be adversely impacted by construction vehicles and/or associated employee parking. Please call 561-838-5440 to report congestion or abuse. A Right of Way permit has been issued to AT &T for South Ocean Boulevard at the Southern Blvd traffic circle. Traffic will be maintained by signs and flaggers. TRAFFIC HELP-LINE A dedicated traffic telephone line is also available from 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday to report excessive traffic delays or concerns. Please call 561-838-5410.
