Part time Sport staff put out equipment when they are available. Lettings responsible for checking before use. Part time Sports staff set up for badminton session and monitors session. Centre has a premise licence with Shropshire Council. In accordance with Fire Officer recommendations Fire drills held regularly and recorded. Regular hirers advised annually of evacuation procedures. New hirers given copy upon booking. Fire extinguishers and alarm points checked through Property Maintenance contractors.

Access arrangements in place for maintenance of light fittings? Seating Unit Electricity: Sufficient power supply for activities and events minimising extension leads? Access to sockets by infants (soft play)? Area subject to periodic building inspection? Granwood floor Cleaned at least twice a week. More often if hall is well used. Sport worker visually checks floor when putting out equipment and checking security. Resealed every 2 3 years, depending on wear, by approved contractors. Fair faced brick walls. Smooth. Climbing wall no longer in use, all projections removed. Emergency exit door handles flush or high level. No ledges to collect dust. Lighting recently replaced recently throughout games hall to improve quality for sports. High level lighting with protection. No low level lighting units. Lighting has two levels to accommodate different needs. Lighting maintained by contractors using cherry pickers or scaffolding. Safe to use but ideally needs to have sides and back fenced to prevent small children crawling underneath. Access needs to be left to clean under structure. Currently, staff closely monitor seating area to prevent access beneath seats. Adequate electrical supply. Floor cleaner requires extension leads but these are of good quality and are regularly visually checked and PAT tested. No low level sockets. Building audit undertaken biannually. Daily checks by Sport worker/caretaker and defects
