Vertical Air-Cooled Split-System Cooling Units Carrier is participating in the Eurovent Certification Programme. Products are as listed in the Eurovent Directory of Certified Products. 50VZ (40PZ/38VZ) Nominal cooling capacity 14.6-74.4 kw The 50VZ air-cooled split-system cooling units are ideal for installation in new buildings or refurbishment projects in existing buildings. They are designed for small and medium-sized air conditioning systems for commercial and residential applications, such as restaurants, shops, laboratories, art galleries, offices and homes. The units consist of two sections: an evaporator section (40PZ) and a condenser section (38VZ) of matching size. Features The cabinet is made of prepainted metal sheets. The panels are thermally and acoustically insulated. All moving components incorporate internal and external shock absorbers. The evaporator and condenser sections incorporate double inlet centrifugal fans, with forward-curved blades, driven by three-phase motors with adjustable belt-pulley, adequately dimensioned and easily adjusted. Refrigerant-to-air heat exchangers are manufactured from high quality, deoxidized and dehydrated copper tubing, mechanically expanded into precoated aluminium fins. Hermetic, reciprocating or scroll, three-phase compressors for use with refrigerant R-407C (depending on model). A thermal protection device in the windings protects the motor from overcurrent and excessive temperatures. Built-in overpressure valves protect the compressor against high discharge pressure. The motors are force-lubricated, cooled by suction gas and can operate in high ambient temperatures. Internal mufflers and mounting on shock absorbers guarantee exceptionally quiet compressor operation. All components are designed to work in a wide range of compression ratios and temperatures. The refrigerant circuit is made of deoxidized and dehydrated copper tubing and soldered with a silver alloy rod. Completely hermetic and leak tested, it incorporates access and service valves and a stainless steel mesh filter at the capillary inlet which prevents obstruction by foreign matter. The control box includes an electronic control system to operate the unit and improve performance. This control also simplifies and facilitates service operations.

Master Link II The control system is made up of a main board. This electronic board is standard for all units. It can display eight digital inputs and six analogue inputs. The board functions are: - Management of the application program - Supervision of internal communications - Control of the rest of the system elements - Communication with the service network - Display of the analogue and digital input - Management of the output relays - Signalling of the alarm codes - Selection of optional functions The board includes a number of warning LEDs that give information about the system and unit operation. The LED status enables service and maintenance operations.
