It is mounted on the outside of the duct and a pitot sample tube extends into the duct. The airflow goes in one leg of the pitot up into the sensor enclosure where the sensor head lies and back out into the duct. To monitor hazardous areas where flammable gases, vapour fumes or dust are present. The enclosure is approved for Zone 1 and Zone 2. It is flame proof, explosion proof, and weather proof (ATEX, Ex d IIB+H2 T6 IP66). Designed with individually certified EXD main housing enclosure and certified Exd sensor enclosures.
