PZN Overview The Powrmatic PZN is a water-supplied suspended air heater which can discharge air horizontally or vertically. The unit has a powerful axial fan which means it is suitable for many applications. Powrmatic offers an extensive range of accessories allowing it to be aligned for various applications. For example, the unit can be made suitable for external air connection in combination with filtering and a mixing box for the dilution of fresh external air. Models Available PZN - Pre Painted Panels PZN-X - Stainless Steel Casing (Special Order) Casing Constructed of a self supporting galvanized, pre-painted metal or stainless steel (PZN-X). The casing features a modern and attractive aesthetic line. The geometry adopted gives the heater maximum compactness and versatility. Heat Exchanger Constructed of a high efficiency copper tube battery with an aluminium finned exchange coil. Steel water couplings with air vent valves and both fixed on anti-break clamp brackets. Axial Fan ERP 2015 compliant low noise, high performance axial fans mounted in a safety protection cage. Featuring a two or three speed motor (model dependant). Room thermostat- single stage, with ON-OFF switch. Speed changeover switch - 3-modes speed control (STOP-MIN-MAX), only for three phase models. Contact Powrmatic General The following notes are provided as a guide, however installers and operators should fully acquaint themselves with the more detailed guidance provided in the relevant installation manual. For copies of such manuals please consult our technical department or visit our website - www.powrmatic.co.uk Installation Clearances Particular clearances may be necessary for the correct and safe function of the heater as well as for maintenance purposes. Such clearances are confirmed in the relevant installation manual. Standards PZN Unit heaters must be installed, commissioned and operated with due regard to appropriate regulations, relevant Codes of Practice which may include but is not limited to BS5410, BS6644, BS6880 and the possible requirements of Local Authorities, Fire Officers and insurers as well as Powrmatic s installation manual. Position & Location PZN heaters can be mounted either horizontally or vertically by using PZN support brackets. It is important that all supporting structures have due regard to the relevant weight loadings. Heaters should not be installed in hazardous areas or areas where there is a foreseeable risk of flammable or corrosion inducing particles, gases or vapours being drawn in. Water Treatment Water quality used with heaters can have a significant effect on both the efficiency of the heater and also the life expectancy of the heater. Water supply quality may adversely affect the efficiency and performance of heating systems. The situation can intensify where higher temperatures or demands exist. Guidance can be found in BSRIA BG 29/2011 Pre-Commission Cleaning of Pipework Systems. Additional physical treatment should be evaluated for the removal of oxygen and filtration of the system water. During final filling of the system, a chemical water treatment formulation should be added to the primary circuit to control corrosion and the formation of scale and sludge. Reasonable provision would be to follow the guidance on how to prepare and commission systems given in BS 7593. Chemical water treatment must be introduced in a controlled manner and with a facility for monitoring the water quality to ensure effective treatment is maintained. The chemical concentration of the system water should be regularly checked (especially after the event of any leaks being detected) to ensure it remains effective. Areas where special consideration or advice may be required could include but is not limited to - Where de-greasing solvents are present, even in minute concentrations Where paint spraying is carried out Where styrenes or other laminating products are used Where airborne silicone is present Where petrol engined vehicles are stored or maintained Where dust is present (i.e. wood working or joinery shops) Where high levels of extract persist Guarantee Powrmatic PZN heaters are provided with a comprehensive guarantee. For United Kingdom sales the heater has the benefit of a 12 month parts only guarantee. All guarantees are subject to terms and conditions.
