ECM for HVAC SERIES 116 Digi-Motor Ball Bearing The Azure Digi-Motor from is a high efficiency variable speed direct drive blower motor for a multitude of applications. Azure is a replacement for both standard PSC and Genteq X-13 motors. Two motors cover ratings from 1/5 HP to 1 HP at 115V or 230V and CW or CCW. Azure features an auto sizing learn mode. In start-up learn mode, Azure runs or approximately 2 minutes measuring the external static pressure of the system application. Azure then assigns torque values to each of its speed taps selfprogramming itself to the correct horsepower for the application. If none of the four speeds provides perfect airflow for the application or if duplicate speeds are desired on 2 or more taps, an optional hand held programmer ( No. 08502) can be used. The programmer connects to Azure and displays the percentage of torque applied to the speed tap being energized. The percentage (motor speed) can then be increased or decreased and permanently set with the programmer. This tool overrides the motor torques established in the auto sizing mode. Unlike other electronically commutated motors, an outboard surge protector is included within Azure s wire harness. This is a replaceable device ( No. 08593). Although the motor performs an auto sizing function that will correctly assign torque to each of the speed taps for the installed application, there may be instances when custom speeds are desired. 08502 Allows blower speed to be reduced to the low end of CFM tolerance for improved dehumidification. ECM for HVAC SERIES 950 760-ECM Motor Speed Controller The 760-ECM motor speed controller is designed to provide manually adjustable proportional speed control for all sizes and voltages of ECM DC Brushless motors. Manual speed control is accomplished by adjusting the control pot in the clock-wise direction to increase motor speed. Adjusting the pot in the counter clockwise direction will slow down and eventually stop the motor as the PWM signal is removed. The 760-ECM is line voltage independent and requires only a 24VAC supply. This unit is fully enclosed and can be mounted in standard electrical boxes. Variable speed control is accomplished via a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) output signal. The PWM signal operates at a nominal 13.5VDC at 80Hz and is capable of sourcing up to 5mA drive current to drive a single motor. DESCRIPTION PACK 08032 ECM Motor Manual Speed Controller 1 24VAC (-) GND 792-ECM Motor Speed Controller The 792-ECM (Vma) motor speed controller is designed to provide both continuously variable and/or manually adjustable proportional speed control for all sizes and voltages of ECM DC Brushless motors. The 792-ECM (VmA) controller also includes an output to enable operation of ECM motors that require such a signal for operation. Continuously variable speed control is accomplished via 2-10VDC or 4-20mA input signal to the control. This controller provides a linear increase of the output as the input signal increases over the 2-10VDC or 4-20mA span. Manual Speed Control is accomplished by adjusting the control pot in the clock-wise direction to increase motor speed. Adjusting the pot in the counter clock-wise direction will slow down and eventually stop the motor as the PWM signal is removed. The two control methods may be used together by manually setting a minimum speed for the motor to always maintain, regardless of input signal. When the input signal exceeds the level set manually, full variable speed control is resumed as long as the input is above the manually set level. The 792-ECM is line voltage independent and requires only a 24VAC supply. This unit is circuit board on standoffs for mounting directly to control panel surfaces. Variable speed control is accomplished via a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) output signal. The PWM signal operates at a nominal 13.5VDC at 80 Hz and is capable of sourcing up to 5mA drive current to drive a single motor. ECM for Commercial Refrigeration SERIES 950 2 Speed Evaporator Fan Controller The Evaporator Fan Controllers are developed for use in walk-in coolers and freezers. The fans in the evaporator boxes run at normal speed at all times, even if the thermostat is not calling for a cooling cycle. To save money, the Evaporator Fan Controllers monitor the temperature on both the intake and exhaust of the evaporator fan unit: 1. Evaporator fan speed is reduced. 2. Cooling or compressor runtime is reduced. When the temperature of the exhaust is lower than that of the intake, the fans will run at normal speed. When the temperature of the exhaust is equal to the intake temperature however, the Evaporator Fan Controllers will reduce the speed of the fans to save energy, significantly reducing energy costs. When the compressor turns back on to meet thermostat requirements, the Evaporator Fan Controllers will then once again return the fans to normal speed.
