THE CANAL/FROME ZONE Cheapside wharf Ensure redevelopment of the derelict Cheapside Wharf site provides housing and enhances the public access to the canal West of Brewery Bridge Plan for new canal basin for narrow boats in the depot area west of Brewery Bridge Permit retail/commercial uses to support canal use Fromeside industrial site Should sites on the Fromeside Industrial Estate become available, ensure new development provides a high quality frontage to the canal Encourage the intensification of employment development on the Fromeside industrial estate.
