Resolutions of the 35th plenary meeting of ISO/TC 211 Jeddah, 2012-12-11/12 Resolution 599 Reappointment of the ISO/TC 211 Chair ISO/TC 211 endorses the Secretariat's nomination of Mr. Olaf Østensen as the Chair of ISO/TC 211 for a further period of three years, and instructs the Secretariat to inform the ISO Technical Management Board about this decision. Resolution 602 Liaison with ISO/TC 190/SC 1 Soil Quality Evaluation of criteria, terminology and codification ISO/TC 211 acknowledges the wish from ISO/TC 190/SC 1 to establish liaison between the committees, and instructs the secretariat to inform the ISO Central Secretariat about this decision. ISO/TC 211 also notes the support from the UPU/ISO Contact Committee of recommendation 4 of the ISO 19160 Review Summary (document N 3188). ISO/TC 211 therefore invites Mr. Piotr Piotrowski (UPU) and the ISO/TC 211 Secretariat to contact CEN/TC 331, Postal Services, and CEN/TC 287, Geographic Information, to initiate joint work to revise UPU S42 and EN 14142-1. The revision project proposal will be ISO/NWIP 19160-4. Resolution 605 GIS-BIM cooperation ISO/TC 211 appreciates the resolution from ISO/TC 59/SC 13 (document N 3425), and looks forward to the nominations of their experts. ISO/TC 211 encourages the ad hoc group to identify issues of relevance for all involved groups for standardization, and to define ways forward for cooperation. ISO/TC 211 will not initiate new projects without considering possible issues relevant to this cooperation. 3
Resolution 606 Extension of target dates for project 19119, Geographic information Services ISO/TC 211 instructs the secretariat to apply to the ISO Central Secretariat for an extension for project 19119, with the following target dates: CD.2 2013-06 DIS 2014-06 FDIS 2015-06 IS 2015-12 Resolution 607 Call for XMG convenor ISO/TC 211 regrets the resignation from Mr. Nicolas Lesage as the convenor of the XML maintenance group (XMG), and appreciates the important work that he has done over the years as convenor. ISO/TC 211 instructs the secretariat to immediately send out a call to the P-members for a new convenor. Resolution 608 Recommendations on systematic reviews ISO/TC 211 recognizes that the upcoming systematic reviews have a number of standards where the members are requesting guidance on how to vote.
