BENEFITS AND FEATURES BENEFITS SMOKE CURTAINS Increase the time available for occupants to escape the building since they reduce the travel distances. Are a cost effective solution to zoning a building. Assist the emergency services by containing or channelling the smoke into predetermined areas. Limit travel and overcooling of smoke, reducing the risk of cold smoke dropping to low level and obscuring vision. FIRE CURTAINS Seal off an area to contain a fire and to prevent it from spreading. Automatically deploy upon receipt of a signal from the fire-alarm panel, and automatically retracts when the signal has stopped. Retain fire integrity in an emergency but allow complete freedom of passage when not in use. FEATURES Fire Curtain Technologies smoke and fire curtains are fully tested and certified to the latest fire regulations and building design technology. Fire Curtain Technologies provides a wide range of options: All system components (headboxes, fabric, bottom bars, drive systems) can be customized. All fire and smoke curtains can operate as an integrated part of a smoke control and fire management scheme, with emergency power units and the facility to interface directly with a fire control panel. Side guides can be integrated either into or onto a wall / soffit or into a recess / niche. COLT side guide roller system has been designed to ensure that the curtain will move to its closed position easily even when there are significant air velocities around the curtain. FIRE PROTECTIVE CURTAIN AUTOMATIC FIRE CURTAIN The Fire Protective Curtain is an automatic fire curtain that prevents fire and smoke from transferring from one part of a building to another. In the event of a fire, the Fire Protective Curtain forms a temporary barrier which assists people escaping from a burning building. It operates automatically when interfaced with the building fire alarm system. APPLICATIONS: Fire protective curtains are used in all industrial and commercial buildings, e.g. shopping centers, office buildings, atria, etc. The Fire Protective Curtain is certified and labeled to UL 10D Fire resistance 60 / 180 minutes The fire protective curtain consists of a roller covered with a fiberglass fabric which is incorporated into a galvanized steel housing. The roller unit incorporates a motor, planetary gearbox and internal microprocessor. The microprocessor monitors the rest position and independently regulates the closing speed to a maximum of 0,15m/s (6 in / sec). The housing is equipped with specially developed reinforced brackets, which maintains integrity at high temperatures. The bottom of the housing is closed off with a panel which allows the entire length of the system to be accessed. The system is equipped with side guides. The design ensures that the required compartmentalization is achieved. There are no visible fasteners either on the underside of the housing or on the front of the side guides. At the bottom of the curtain a bottom bar is attached which serves to ensure that the curtain operates as designed and also that it remains stable when unrolled. Furnace testing in accordance with UL 10D, EN 1634-3 Smoke tightness tests Materials class: A2-s1, d0 Quality of cloth 1800 F Glass fabric 2200 F Glass fabric with coating and stainless-steel inlay Virtually invisible The bottom bar makes contact with the floor when the curtain is deployed creating a smoketight seal with the floor. There are different bottom bars available for different applications. The curtain headbox and side guides can be polyester powder coated in all RAL colors. The fabric is silver grey. The unit can be configured with mounting brackets either for wall or ceiling mounting. FS, FR and FD PIN SIDE GUIDES with integrated seals Manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001:2008
SMOKE SEALED CURTAIN FIRE PROTECTIVE CURTAIN SMOKE CERTIFIED The SD Smoke Sealed Curtain is designed to restrict the passage of smoke from spreading It operates automatically when connected. APPLICATIONS: Smoke sealed curtains are used in all industrial and commercial buildings, e.g. shopping centers, office buildings, lift landing lobbies, hospitals, retirement home, atria, etc. The Smoke Sealed Curtain is certified and labeled to UL 10D and EN 1634-3 and further certified to UL 1784 Fire resistance + compartmentation 60 / 180 minutes Furnace testing in accordance with UL 10D, EN 1634-3 Smoke tightness test UL 1784 Materials class: A2-s1, d0 Quality of cloth 1800 F Glass fabric 2200 F Glass fabric with coating and stainless-steel inlay Virtually invisible FS, FR and FD PIN SIDE GUIDES with integrated seals Manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 The Smoke Sealed Curtain consists of a roller covered with a fiberglass fabric which is incorporated into a galvanized steel housing. The roller unit incorporates a motor, planetary gearbox and controls electronics with a microprocessor. The microprocessor monitors the rest position when rolled up and independently regulates the closing speed to a maximum of 0,15 m/s (6in / sec). The housing is equipped with specially developed reinforced brackets, which maintains integrity at high temperatures. The bottom of the housing is closed off with a panel which allows the entire length of the system to be accessed. The system is equipped with FD side guides. Their special tight design ensures that the required compartmentalization is achieved. There are no visible fasteners either on the underside of the housing or on the front of the side guides. At the bottom of the curtain a bottom bar is attached which serves to ensure that the curtain operates as designed and also that it remains stable when unrolled. The bottom bar makes contact with the floor when the curtain is deployed, creating a smoketight seal with the building structure. There are different bottom bars available for different applications. The curtain headbox and side guides can be polyester powder coated in all RAL colors. The fabric is silver grey. The unit can be configured with mounting brackets either for wall or ceiling mounting. *Also available with Emergency Egress.
FIXED SMOKE CURTAIN FIXED DRAFT CURTAIN A Fixed Draft Smoke Curtain contains smoke and heat in the case of fire. Per NFPA 92B, Draft curtains are generally used to channel or contain smoke that is attached to the underside of the ceiling and protrude a limited distance downward. A fixed smoke curtain consists of several overlapping curtains attached together to provide a continuous run. They are connected together and to the building by means of clamps and angle pieces. The bottom of the cloth is weighted, ensuring that the curtain remains taut and reducing the amount of deflection through air currents. Smoke resistance 60 / 120 minutes >2500mm Height from 500mm to max. 0.6 fixing anchor W-FA, type 08-15 60/100/2.0 angle 5/10 rivet 10/30/10/1.5 clamp profile Duo adhesive tape Coupling piece 60 50 75 100 Smoke curtain cloth Galvanised steel bar 26.9mm dia (3/4 ) Coupling piece Floor level The installation angles and the clamping profiles are predrilled to accept rivets. The connecting pieces have a continuous predrilled hole pattern, enabling fast and easy assembly of the curtain fabric. The bottom bar has a loop to accommodate the weight. SM-ST system can be used to close off a scheme of movable smoke curtains position below it, by clamping directly onto the housing of the movable smoke curtain. Fixing brackets, clamping profiles and bottom bars are all in galvanized steel. The curtain overlaps can be attached to one another using a spray adhesive approved by MPA Stuttgart, which seals the flaps tightly to to enhance the appearance of the surface of the curtain. The SM-ST system is fixed to the building with approved fasteners at intervals of a maximum of 5 feet. Smoke curtain meets the requirements of EN 12101-1.
