Panther Static Hot Cupboard User Instructions Installation Remove all packaging and protective coatings from both outer and inner surfaces of the appliance prior to use. Ensure the appliance is level. To adjust the height loosen the lock nuts on the relevant feet and turn anti-clockwise until the appliance is level. The lock nuts should then be made secure. Note: The appliance when sited should not obstruct any plug and socket outlet. The appliance may be connected to an electrical supply by means of the plug and lead supplied with the appliance. Note: The plug is bonded to the lead as standard and is therefore nondetachable. It is recommended that before using the appliance, for the first time, it is switched on and set to maximum for at least one hour as some odours may be emitted from the insulating material contained within the appliance. Operating Once connected to the electricity supply power is supplied directly to the unit; this will be indicated by the illumination of the Green neon. To heat the appliance turn the thermostat control knob in a clockwise direction to the desired setting (see table below); this will illuminate the amber neon. When the amber neon is no longer illuminated the unit has attained the desired temperature. During use the thermostat will activate the heating elements to maintain a constant temperature; this will be indicated by periodic illumination of the amber neon. Thermostat Control Knob Settings Temperatures are in degrees Celsius Setting 1 30 35 40 2 40 50 55 3 50 55 60 4 60 65 70 5 70 75 80 6 80 85 90 Note: Thermostat control knob settings are intended as reference only, all food should be probed for environmental regulation compliance. Cleaning and Maintenance of the Appliance Before cleaning switch off the appliance, isolate from the mains electrical supply and allow to cool. Once cool the appliance may be cleaned with a mild detergent solution using a damp, soft cloth. Shelving and the drip tray may be removed for ease of cleaning. Do not use abrasives as they may cause damage to the metal surfaces. Do not clean the appliance with a water jet or pressure cleaner. Safety The unit is splash protected. However if the appliance is situated in an area where the floor is to be regularly cleaned with large quantities of water, or should a large spillage occur in the immediate vicinity of the appliance the unit must be isolated from the main electrical supply before cleaning commences.
