10 Half the households returned In order to start separating food 1st questionnaire ¼ of the pilot area residents indicated awareness of food waste collection waste, those not already doing so would (in order of significance): require a free/cheap curbside bin; require a kitchen catcher; Biggest deterrents cited were have to be able to get the whole family flies, odours and wildlife attraction to participate; and be sure that wildlife, flies and odour would not become a problem.

It has been a money saver trying to buy less, eat without wasting etc. "I have been using the green compost bin and food scrap bucket. It s very easy to use, and I've noticed I don t put a bag of garbage out everyday now. If I didn t receive these useful tools, I wouldn t be [composting]. You have made it easy for me and it's just routine from now on. Thank you."

19 Freeform Feedback "Happy to see Mission has stepped up to their composting program by supplying the green bin and kitchen catcher free of charge to their residents. I was composting before the new arrangement but am happy to participate in the new program. My husband and I like what Mission is doing to help the environment which should be a concern to all of us. It s great to have alternate compost/recycling methods. The information provided with the green bin made us all aware of things we did not know. Congratulations to the District of Mission on its efforts to have a greener earth!
