14 CFC - Correct Feeding Control CFC function Optimizing the dot placement, by controlling the belt movement and the length of the prints. When the media feed is unstable, uneven color or banding can be seen on the printed surface Belt moving direction Print head The belt is pressed by CFC system CFC detects the feed length. An effective function when fine print results are needed. What is MAPS? MAPS works well for black and white bandings between print passes. 14

15 MAPS MAPS Mimaki Advanced Pass System Reduces the chance of banding When banding is not solved by media feed correction, use MAPS Maps reduces banding by dispersing boundaries between each pass Depending on print modes, print speed would can be decreased while MAPS is activated 15

18 Tension control In order to ensure stable print media feeding, the electromagnetic clutch adjusts proper tension for each fabric type: thin, thick and stretch-able. Back side of TX B Electromagnetic clutch 18

19 Media centering Centering sensor / End sensor The centering sensor detects position of both ends of media, and the media position is automatically maintained in the centre so that media meandering is prevented. 22 Ink type 2 ink types are offered for TX B An appropriate ink type can be chosen depending on fabric and applications Reactive dye (Rc300) 8 colors Color variation: C/M/Y/K/OR/BL/R/LK Applicable materials: Cotton and other plant-based fibers Dye sublimation (Sb300) 4 colors Color variation: Bl/M/Y/K Applicable materials: Polyester Two printing method: Paper transfer and direct sublimation K ink has 2 types. Depending on fabric types, suitable one is chosen. 22

24 Rc300 Ink Features Current pre-treated agent formulations for Mimaki current inks or other manufacturers inks are applied. No formulation change is needed Color fastness is the same as the reactive ink (SPC-0357) that was used with Mimaki TX Notes for using Rc300 Please use an external heater when printing Ink set-off may be found depending of media and pre-treatment agent. Reactive dye ink has a reactive property, please store the ink under appropriate environmental condition Ink storage conditions Temperature: 0 to 30 degree c. 25 RC300 ink workflow Recommended work flow Pre treat Print Post treat 1. Make pre-treatment liquid 2. Dip fabric in the liquid 3. Use rollers to squeeze the fabric evenly until it gets a certain level 4. Dry the fabric. The temperature must be under 100 degree C. Print with Rc300 ink. When using a heater, the temperature of the fabric surface must not exceed 110 degree C. 1. Steam the printed fabric for 8 minutes, under degree C. 2. Make soaping liquid 3. Make the soaping liquid 90 degree C and wash the fabric in it for 10 minutes. 4. Wash the fabric in water in normal temperature 5. Heat it up to 90 degrees, and wash for 10 minutes. 6. Replace water and rinse. 7. Dry the fabric. 25
