Learn to Use Your SNS EasySnow Home Snowmaker

4 2 Identify your pressure washer s GPM rating. To be sure we select the right nozzle for your system when you assemble your snowmaker, it is important to know the GPM rating of your pressure washer. The acronym GPM stands for Gallons Per Minute and will be listed close to the PSI pressure rating on your pressure washer. It will likely be between For later reference, go ahead and write down your pressure washer s GPM rating in the box below: GPM: SELF CHECK If you can t find the GPM rating on your pressure washer, either the manufacturer or do a quick web search for your pressure washer to find some specifications.

5 3 Know your nozzle sizes. Now, it is important to know which nozzle is which so you can get the right one to fit your pressure washer GPM rating. Three nozzles came with your snowmaker: Brass Plug Standard #2 Red #4 The plug will have no hole in the end and it used for low GPM pressure washers. The blue #1 nozzle will have both a blue mark on the tip as well as the number 4002 printed on the tip. The green #2 nozzle will have a green mark and the number 4004 printed on the tip. The chart below indicates which nozzle you should use for a variety of pressure washer sizes: GPM Rating GPM = Brass Plug GPM Rating GPM = Standard #2 (nozzle tip reads 4002) GPM Rating GPM = Red #4 (nozzle tip reads 4004) SELF CHECK Which nozzle would you use if your pressure washer GPM rating is 2.6? Try 1.7 GPM? 4.1? GPM?

6 4 Using the quick connectors. Your snowmaker has a multiple points that use a simple part called a quick connector. These pieces let you quickly attach and detach parts that would normally require you to screw threads together like those on the end of a garden hose. To use a quick connector, first insert the smaller plug into the larger piece (coupler). Slide the sheath back on the coupler until the plug slides the rest of the way in. Slide the sheath back until it once again covers the entire coupler. SELF CHECK Try replacing the nozzles in the center removable nozzle slot on your snowmaker. Slide the sheath back, insert the nozzle, and slide in back into place until it clicks into place.

5 Using stand connectors. Two of the legs on your snowmaker stand will need to be attached to your snowmaker. These legs will attach using stand leg connectors called compression couplers.

Compression couplers squeeze the leg as they tighten in order to keep the leg securely in place. Each coupler has three parts; a body, a bolt, and a tightening ring. The ring sits inside the bolt and is screwed onto the body. SELF CHECK Find a compression coupler on your snowmaker, remove the bolt, find the ring, then place the bolt back on the coupler..

Three(3) : Stand Legs -Two will be about 4 long, the third will already be attached to the snowgun. One(1) : 22mm / Quick Connect Adapter -This will be used to connect your pressure washer hose to the snowgun. Three(3) : Nozzles -Two will be actual nozzles, the third is a plug. One(1) : Female Quick Connect Body -This will screw onto the end of your air hose for fast connection to your gun.

7A Assembly: Legs Insert two 1.5 legs into the two holes on the stand facing diagonally, insert the 3 piece vertically, and insert the 4 leg into the right side of the snowmaker.

Screw the leg holders to tighten. STEP 7B Assembly: Nozzle Insert the nozzle that fits your pressure washer GPM rating into the center quick connector facing the same direction as the other nozzles. This will be located right between the two permanent nozzles.

7C Assembly: Pressure washer hose Attach the 22mm pressure washer hose adapter to your pressure washer hose and connect to the quick connector coupler facing opposite the nozzles.

This connector will be just above the valve. STEP 7D Assembly: Air compressor hose Attach the ¼ Female quick connector body to the end of your air hose and connector to the quick connector plug just below the valve on your snowmaker.

11 8A Startup: Close valve and turn on air compressor To close the valve, turn it towards a horizontal position until it stops. If you haven t yet, attach you air hose to your snowmaker. Then, turn on your air compressor and wait 2 minutes for the pressure to build. STEP 8B Startup: Connect garden hose and open water spigot Meanwhile, connect the garden hose that feeds your pressure washer to the spigot. Turn on the water spigot. With your hoses attached to your snowmaker, you should now have a small amount of water exiting the top nozzles on your snowmaker.

12 STEP 8 C STEP 8 D Startup: Turn on pressure washer Turn on your pressure washer. If you have a gas pressure washer you may have trouble getting it started with the pressure washer hose attached to the snowmaker. If this is the case, detach the hose from the gun, run the washer for 30 seconds, reattach and restart. Startup: Adjust the valve for the right mix Slowly open the valve on your snowmaker until a small amount of water just begins to trickle down and mix with the air, forming a light mist. Hold you hand out in the mist. If you feel larger drops, turn it down until it is solid mist. Guess what, you re making snow!
