Damaging overhung loads are eliminated in the All-Star design because a bearing is located on each side of the impeller. This design permits mounting the blower in any orientation, including vertical shaft up or down. 12 MAXI-AERATION DO SYSTEM OPTIMUM PROCESS CONTROL Controlling DO in a basin by using butterfly valves and bleeding excess air into the environment or by cycling your PD blowers on/off is inefficient, energy-wasteful, and expensive today and in the future it will become even more costly. The Maxi-Aeration DO System combines the technology of variable frequency drives (VFDs) and regenerative blowers into a high performance system that continuously monitors and automatically changes the air flow to a basin and provides an the optimum oxygen level for bacterial growth during constantly changing conditions. 25% INCREASE IN PROCESS EFFICIENCY Providing optimum oxygen to microbes increases their efficiency by as much as 25% % LOWER EQUIPMENT COST Improve your efficiency, lower your power costs and save 20-40% on equipment costs compared to PD or centrifugal blowers. Select the basic Manual Control unit or build-up the control features you need. The Maxi-Aeration System can be added to your existing aeration system or included in your next upgrade or new plant. A VFD INCREASES POWER FACTOR A VFD increases the motor power factor from as low as.40 to.99 or.0 depending upon your load condition. Increasing the power factor reduces the current used by the motor. Want to see how much a low power factor increase your electric bill? If you insert the performance rating of a 0HP, 800 rpm motor in the formula below and then change the power factor to a.0 to see the difference in your amperage.
