Limerick Township Participates in the Specialty Waste Collection Programs Household Hazardous Waste Communicating Recycling Information Campaign Sign Recycling Tire Collection Be sure to check out the County s Recycling Guide: Recycling Items from A-Z (including Electronic) You may also visit Earth911.com for additional information on where to recycle
Electronics Programs (Including TVs and Computers) Although state law requires electronics manufacturers to offer recycling opportunities for TVs and computers, those manufacturers are no longer sponsoring county recycling collections in the Southeastern Pennsylvania region. A summary of the situation and a list of drop off sites is available at An amendment to the state electronics recycling law, called the Covered Device Recycling Act, is needed to ensure the availability of recycling outlets. For an overview of the Covered Device Recycling Act please see the above MontCo website link. Concern about the lack of disposal options for TV's and computers should be directed to the appropriate State Representative and Senator. PA Representative - District 146 PA Senator District 44 Rep. Joe Ciresi (D) Senator Katie Muth (D) 301 N. Lewis Road 155 Railroad Plaza Park Towne Plaza Fourth Floor Royersford, PA Royersford, PA (484) (717) or (717)
Electronics Programs (Including TVs and Computers) s website has invaluable Recycling Information Be sure to check out the County s Recycling Guide: Recycling Items from A-Z continues to be unable to hold electronics collection events, as the PA Covered Device Recycling Act still has not been amended. Limerick Township held an Anything with a Plug Recycling Event in 2017 Currently No Events are Scheduled for 2019
Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program There is no dedicated drop off facility in that accepts Household Hazardous Waste. Instead, household hazardous waste (HHW) events will be held at different locations throughout the county on specified days between the months of April and October. If you cannot attend a county collection event, please consider asking a friend or neighbor to take the items to the event for proper disposal. s website has invaluable Recycling Information Be sure to check out the County s Recycling Guide: Recycling Items from A-Z

Document Shredding Program The will not be holding any Countywide Document Shredding events in As a reminder, the shredding of documents has become important in our lives today for several reasons, not the least of which is the threat of identity theft. Please be careful of your personal information and seek out advertised shredding events in the area or seek out vendors that offer this service. s website has invaluable Recycling Information Be sure to check out the County s Recycling Guide: Recycling Items from A-Z
Document Shredding Program For the most current information, visit s website:
Tire Collection Program The Commissioners authorized three (3) free collection events specifically to discourage illegal dumping and the spread of mosquito borne illnesses. The tires that are collected will be shredded and repurposed by a local business into products for civil engineering, such as highway sound barrier wall material, and for playground material. If you would otherwise like to dispose of tires, tire retailers usually accept used tires for a recycling fee of approximately $3 - $5 per tire. For additional information, please contact Recycling Hotline at (610) or use the below website link. s website has invaluable Recycling Information Be sure to check out the County s Recycling Guide: Recycling Items from A-Z

Campaign Sign Recycling Program A Local Partnership partners with Republic Services, the Democratic and Republican Committees, and participating municipalities to recycle plastic campaign signs and metal stands from each year s election. Please note: This program does not seek to take campaign sign clean up responsibilities away from prospective candidates. Instead, this program hopes to connect candidates and residents with drop off points so that signs can be recycled instead of thrown in the trash. s website has invaluable Recycling Information Be sure to check out the County s Recycling Guide: Recycling Items from A-Z
