Read this manual before installation Explain sufciently the operating means to the user according to this manual C Fixing of outdoor unit Fix the unit to concrete or block withbolts(0mm)andnutsrmly and horizontally. When tting the unit to wall surface, roof or rooftop, x a supporter surely with nails or wires in consideration of earthquakeandstrongwind. If vibration may affect the house, x the unit by attaching a vibration-proof mat. 64

Insert the drain hose into the dent of heat insulation materials of indoor unit.. Insert the indoor/outdoor electric cable from backside of indoor unit, and pull it outonthefrontside,thenconnect them. 3. Coat the aringsealfacewithrefrigerantoilandconnect pipes. Covertheconnectionpartwithheatinsulationmaterialsclosely,andmakesure xing with adhesive tape Indoor/outdoor electric cable Indoor unit Fitting of the Mounting Plate and Positioning of the wall Hole Lid for right piping Lid for under piping pipe Lid for left piping Heat insulation material Drain hose Piping Pipe supporting plate When the mounting plate is rst xed.carryout,basedontheneighboringpillarsorlintels, a proper leveling for the plate to be xedagainstthewall,thentemporarilyfastentheplatewithonesteelnail.. Make sure once more the proper level of the plate, by hanging a thread with a weight from the central top of the plate, then fasten securely the plate with the attachment steel nail. 3. Find the wall hole location A using a measuring tape B= Ø60mm Fixwithadhesivetape Indoor/outdoor electric cable and drain hose must be bound with refrigerant piping by protecting tape. [Otherdirectionpiping ] Cut away, with a nipper, the lid for piping according to the piping direction and thenbendthepipeaccordingtotheposition of wallhole.whenbending,be careful not to crash pipes. Connect beforehand the indoor/outdoor electric cable, andthenpulloutthe connected to the heat insulation of connecting part specially. Fixing the indoor unit body A=45mm B= 60mm 30mm Hang surely the unit body onto the upper notches of the mounting plate. Move the body from side to side to verify its secure xing. In order to x thebodyontothemountingplate,holdup thebodyaslantfromtheundersideandthenputitdown perpendicularly. mounting plate A=45mm 30mm Unloading of indoor unit body B= 60mm When you unload the indoor unit,please use your hand to arise the body to leave agraffe, then lift the bottom of the body outward slightly and lift the unit aslant until it leaves the mounting plate. A=50mm 30mm agraffe mounting plate When themountingplateisxedside barandlintel Fix to side bar and lintel a mounting bar, Which is separately sold, and then fasten the plate to the xedmountingbar. Refer to the previous article, When the mounting plate is rst xed,forthe position of wall hole. Making a Hole on the Wall and Fitting the Piping Hole Cover Make a hole of 60 mm in diameter, slightly descending to outside the wall. Install piping hole cover and seal it off with putty after installation 4 Connecting the indoor/outdoor Electric Cable Removing the wiring cover Remove terminal cover at right bottom corner of indoor unit, then take offwiringcoverbyremovingitsscrews. 3 Installation When connecting the cable before installing the indoor unit Insertthecablefromtheback side of the unit, then pull it out on the front side. Loosenthescrewsandinsert the cable ends fully into terminal block, then tighten the screws. Pull the cable slightly to makesurethecableshave been properly inserted and tightened. After the cable connection, neverfailtofastentheconnectedcablewiththe wiring cover. Outdoor unit Installation of Outdoor Unit Install according to Connection of pipes Drawing for the installation of indoor and outdoor units Tobend a pipe,givetheroundnessaslargeaspossiblenottocrushthepipe, andthebendingradiusshouldbe30to40mm or longer. Connecting the pipe of gas side rst makes working easier. TheconnectionpipeisspecializedforR40A. Half union Flare nut Forced fastening without careful centering may damage the threads and cause a leakage of gas. Note When connecting the cable, conrm the terminal number of indoor and outdoor units carefully. The standard pipe length of each indoor unit is 5m. If total pipe length is over 0m, the function of the unit will be affected, charge more refrigerant is needed, according to 0 g/m. But the charge of refrigerant must beconductedbyprofessionalairconditionerengineer.beforeaddingadditionalrefrigerant,performair purgingfromtherefrigerantpipesandindoorunitusing a vacuumpump,then charge additional refrigerant. Loosen the screws on terminal block and insert the plugs fully into terminal block, then tighten the screws. Insertthecableaccordingto terminalnumberinthesamemannerastheindoor unit. Ifwiringisnotcorrect,properoperationcannotbecarriedoutandcontroller maybedamaged. Fix the cable with a clamp. Attaching Drain-Elbow If the drain-elbow is used, please attach it as gure. (Note: Onlyforheatpumpunit.) After installation, the power plug should be easily reached. 5. A breakershouldbeincorporatedintoxed wiring. The breaker should be all-pole switch and the distancebetweenitstwocontactsshouldbenotlessthan3mm Purging Method:To use vacuum pump. Detachtheserviceport scap of 3-wayvalve,thevalverod scapfor-wayvalve and3-way s,connecttheserviceportintothe projection of charge hose (Iow) for gaugemanifold. Then connect the projection of charge hose (center) for gaugemanifold into vacuum pump.. Open the handle at Iow in gaugemanifold, operate vacuum pump. If the scalemoves of gause(iow)reachvacuumconditionin a moment,check. again. 3. Vacuumize for over 5min.And check the level gauge which should read -0.MPa (76 cm Hg) at Iow pressure side. After the completion of vacuumizing, close the handle Lo in gaugemanifold and stop the operation of the vacuum pump. Check condition of the scale and hold it for -min. If the scale-moves back in spite of tightening, make aring work again, the return to the beginning of Openthevalverodforthe-wayvalvetoanangle ofanticlockwise 90 degrees. After 6 seconds, close the -way valve and make the inspection of gas leakage.

4 Installation 5. No gas leakage? In case of gas leakage, tighten parts of pipe connection. If leakagestops,thenproceed6.steps If it does not stop gas leakage, discharge whole refrigerants from the service port. After aring work again and vacuumize, ll up prescribed refrigerantfromthegascylinder. 6. Detach the charge hose from the service port, open-wayvalveand3-way.turn the valve rod anticlockwise until hitting lightly. 7. To prevent the gas leakage, turn the service port scap,thevalve rod scapfor-way valve and 3-way s a little more than the point where the torque increases suddenly. 8. After attaching the each caps, check the gas leakage around the caps. Step. -way valve Liquid Side Step. 3-wayvalveGasSide Open 3 On Drainage Pleaseinstallthedrainhosesoastobedownwardslopewithoutfail. Please don t do the drainage as shown below. It becomes high midway. The end is immersed in water. Less than 5cm It waves. The gap with the Thereisthebad ground is too small. smell from a ditch Pleasepourwaterinthedrainpan of theindoorunit,andconrm that drainage is carried out surely to outdoor. Iftherefrigerant of theairconditionerleaks,itisnecessarytodischargeallthe refrigerant. Vacuumize rst, then chargetheliquidrefrigerantintoairconditioneraccordingtotheamountmarkedonthenameplate. Please do not let other cooling medium, except specied one (R40A), or air enterintothecoolingcirculationsystem.otherwise,therewillbeabnormal highpressureinthesystemtomakeitcrackandleadtopersonalinjuries. Power Source Installation The power source must be exclusively used for air conditioner. (Over I0A) In the case of installing an air conditioner in a moist place, please install an earth leakage breaker. For installation in other places, use a circuit breaker as far as possible. CuttingandFlaringWorkofPiping Pipecuttingiscarriedoutwith a pipecutterandbursmust be removed. After inserting the are nut, aring work is carried out. 7 Removal of Front Panel Open the front panel until it is on the horizontal position, and then release the pivots on both sides of the unit to remove the front panel.
