3 Inflector material works on two properties: Reflectivity and Emissivity INFLECTOR FACTS Aluminium was chosen for two reasons: To reflect solar heat gain back out through the window. 5 How Inflector Works Unprotected window Solar radiation penetrates the glass and heats the room up plus solar radiation heats the glass causing conduction, for example If you put your hand on the glass or film from inside you will feel heat, this is how conduction interacts with convection as the cold air takes the heat off the glass causing a thermal loop which is a movement of air driven by warm air rising at one end of the loop and cool air descending at the other end, this creates a constant moving loop of air which makes the A/C work harder to keep the temperature constant.

6 How Inflector Works Inflector protected window Inflector prevents Solar radiation entering the room by reflecting back out through the window Radiant heat, UV Rays and Solar heat gain because of this process the glass will heat up so Inflector`s unique conduction barrier will stop the heat entering the room by conduction because the Inflector does not make contact with the glass there will always be a gap between them, these convection currents are retained between the inflector and the glass so the heat doesn t penetrate the room and create room convection by mixing with the cold A/C, and creating a thermal loop which makes the A/C work harder, so you can have a stable room temperature.

16 TESTIMONIALS Lackland Air Force Base Gateway Club Replacing windows is rarely cost effective, solely based on energy savings. Replacing all the windows of building 2000 with new more efficient windows would be extremely expensive and the demolition/installation would disrupt the tenant s mission. For this reason, the In'Flector window insulators were the right solution for building 2000 and the cost was much less than window replacement. Lackland awarded a project to install these insulators. The installation is relatively simple and will cause little disruption to the building occupants. We anticipate reduced heating, ventilation and air conditioning loads with energy cost saving.
