Our shower panels have been developed to precisely address the particular requirements of a variety of specific commercial and institutional markets such as healthcare, education and sport and leisure. Within our company, product development is a continuous programme, always addressing the requirements of the user as well as the specifier, installer and maintenance administrator and operative. 5 Why HORNE shower panels? 3 Shower panels provide a host of beneficial features. SAFETY Because the supply pipes local to the shower are enclosed inside the stainless steel case, they are protected from accidental or intentional damage. This arrangement also protects the user from the high surface temperature of the hot water supply pipe. All the HORNE Thermostatic Mixing Valves featured as integral to the panels are certified as Type 3 in compliance with the NHS Model engineering specifications D 08 Thermostatic mixing valves (Healthcare premises) and BS DURABILITY The panel itself is constructed of extremely robust and durable materials (stainless steel or extruded aluminium). This protects the internal workings of the shower and ensures its operation over an extended lifespan. MAINTENANCE The shower panels are surface mounted, which means that all of the essential components that will require routine testing and maintenance are easily accessed. This will help ensure the correct operation of the shower over a maximised lifespan. COST Installation of these panels is particularly easy and fast. This will make it easy to calculate the costs and time required to install the shower. The assembly and fitting work is done efficiently on the production line of our factory, including the pressure and performance testing of every panel, making the installed shower a very economical option. SPECIFICATION Each shower constitutes a full package so when the preferred option is selected, the specifier can be confident that the specification for the full shower, including the ancillary fittings, has been determined. ECONOMY All of the panels feature water saving fittings in the form of flow regulators and/or timed flow controls to ensure that an adequate, but not excessive, volume of water is used. These water and energy saving features help to protect our environment.

6 4 recreational options GYMS, SPORTS HALLS A number of options have been tailored to suit the sport and leisure market. A range of shower panels are supplied with an integral HORNE TSV1 shower valve or thermostatic mixing valve with a push button timed flow control and a variety of shower head options. For group showering installations, multiple panels without an integral TMV can be teamed up with a suitably sized HORNE TMV. The Sports Panel (SP-200A) features an integral flow regulator, which is designed to control the flow rate from the shower to 8 litres per minute. This feature, combined with the timed flow control, saves water and energy making the product friendly to the environment.

11 9 healthcare options hospitals Each of our TSV1 shower panels that have been developed for the healthcare market features a dual control HORNE TSV1 Thermostatic Shower Valve. This valve has been independently tested and verified as being compliant with the performance requirements of the NHS Model engineering specifications D 08 Thermostatic mixing valves (Healthcare premises) for both high and low pressure showering designations. The slide bar option features a most robust construction. Manufactured from nylon with a steel core, it is securely fixed to the casing by means of two M12 stainless steel bolts. The slide mechanism is very easy to use and the user is faced with a black dot on the release lever to contrast against the white (RAL 9010) slide bar making it easier to see (in accordance with BS 8300). Minimal torque is required to operate the flow and temperature controls and, where required, a lever option is available for the flow control (see accessories section). During installation, the maximum mixed water temperature can be set to ensure that the user cannot accidentally turn the setting to a dangerously high level.

14 12 secure options INSTITUTIONS Where security is a requirement, we offer panels that address the risks of vandalism or self harm by the user. In addition to the fixed, vandal and ligature resistant shower head, a ligature resistant security bezel is fitted around the timed flow control. A telescopic pipe cover is a further option where it is considered desirable to conceal any exposed supply pipework above the panel (see accessories page). Alternatively, the shower panels can be supplied with flexible braided hoses on the supply pipes and connection can be made through to a void behind the wall, which is concealed by the shower panel itself. To specify the braided hose option please add the letter 'B' after the product code i.e. TSV1-109A(B).

19 THERMOSTATIC MIXING VALVES APPENDIX TMV Specifications HORNE Shower Panels mostly feature an integral thermostatic mixing valve, which is either the HORNE TSV1 Dual Control Shower Valve or the HORNE 15 Thermostatic Mixing Valve. Panels that are designed for group showering should be connected to a mixed water supply from a suitably sized HORNE group mixing valve.
