3 Vacuum System Technology (VST): Quick and easy conversion from pin- to vacuum system Amputees expect their prosthesis to be functional and safe with the maximum quality. For even more flexibility we have developed the vacuum system technology: the option to convert between a locking pin-systen and a vacuum system. The pin system to valve system conversion is done with a maximum of 5 components. These 5 components can covert up to 12 different lock systems (with pin) that are currently in the Streifeneder program. Research studies have proven that the positive influence of vacuum technology on the patient s stride; as rotating and swinging movements are minimal or non-existent. Furthermore, the compression between socket and liner positively affects the venous bloodstream. The choice of system that you use does not dictate a specific liner use. Silicone or ContexGel liners can be used with or without distal connection. 3

4 Vacuum Valve 10S4 Quick and easy conversion in 12 lock systems The vacuum valve 10S4 is the basis of the Vacuum System Technology and can be used with 12 lock systems of our product range. The insertion and conversion can be done quickly and easily without any special tools. Pin system to Valve system conversion is done with a maximum of 5 components. For series 300 and 500, only the socket must be sealed: Series 300 with sealing disc 30S4/D and sealing pin 30S4/P; series 500 with sealing pin 50S4/P only. The vacuum valve is available with right thread 10S4/R or left thread 10S4/L.

6 Vacuum Lock 30S4 The complete solution The vacuum lock 30S4 with inserted vacuum valve is a complete solution and complements our comprehensive lock system series. The vacuum lock provides maximum safety and is comfortable to use. The lock is suitable for users of up to 150 kg / 330 lbs body weight, in all four activity levels (Walky 1 to 4). A special, exchangeable sound absorber prevents noises during air-exhaustion. 13 Knee Sleeve ContexGel.sleeve 30L1/30L5 Especially in vacuum socket technology a closed system without air intrusion is very important. The ContexGel.Knee Sleeve works like a knee- resp. sealing cap; and prevents intrusion of air and safely holds the leg prosthesis at the residual limb of the user.
