Their superior design minimizes the amount of parts required resulting in a more cost effective unit. To minimize the installation cost, only one drain and one set of supplies are required per unit. The energy consumption is low: the flow rate of a nozzle is only 0.5 gpm and requires only 0.26 gpm of hot water (60 %). 3 soap water Safe and hygienical hands free operation Optimal comfort through easy control The automatic delivery of water and soap prevents the user from having to come into contact with the fixture and its environment. The spread of germs and bacteria by hands is thus excluded. The easy control system invites users in factories, schools, laboratories, offices, hospitals, nursing homes, food processing industries and restaurants to frequently wash their hands, which is important for promoting hygiene! The hands free soap system requires no external power, and is completely powered by the existing water pressure saving energy compared to other electronic soap dispensers. Intersan designs its fixtures for easy operation by all users including adults, children and the disabled. The passive detection system functions within a three-dimensional sensitivity field within the bowl area. Soap and water will be delivered automatically upon the presentation of the user s hands beneath a nozzle. 3

4 Commercial Plumbing fixtures Wash troughs offer better hygiene The design of Intersan s troughs is unique in that the transversal profile is obtained by bending a single plate in such a way that the trough, back and pipe cover are formed simultaneously. Autonomy through battery operation Space saving Intersan s troughs come complete with a wide variety of factory installed faucets. The supply lines are made of red copper known to eliminate 95 % of most bacteria and help to prevent the spread of legionnaires disease. Intersan troughs further enhance hygiene by channeling the waste water directly to the central drain. Soap dispensers can be mounted on the troughs, keeping soap residues inside the trough instead of dripping onto the floor. Sensor operated troughs offer total handsfree operation. 5 Sanispray washfountains: durable and maintenance friendly Sanispray washfountains can combine up to 8 stations into one single fixture therefore saving the end-user money on rough-in and labor. Because they are durable, efficient and vandal resistant, they can be used in schools, industry, sports facilities etc. Sanispray provides enhanced hygiene through the design of a center set drain, which prevents standing dirty water in the bowl. Intersan even has models that are specially adapted for medical applications. Intersan uses a unique hightech polishing process that results in a durable easy to clean mirror-like bowl surface. Washfountains take up significantly less space than lavatories of equal capacity. They can handle large groups of people simultaneously and offer an efficient traffic pattern in large washrooms. Intersan has a large number of Sanispray models that meet the strict American ADA-standards. The different ways of activation such as the push button model, the footrail model, the electronic model or the piezo model make the Sanispray washfountain universally applicable. All types with the exception of the footrail model can be supplied with a junior height pedestal for children or an extra high pedestal for adults. 5

6 Multiset and Sanset: safe lavatories in stainless steel The design of Multiset lavatories is an innovation in public washrooms by providing combinations of single units that create multi-unit stations, either wall hung or freestanding. This innovative fixture allows for flexible layouts and efficient traffic patterns in the design of public washrooms. The single unit platform enables the designer to plan washstations of varying lengths and to extend existing Multiset installations without disassembly. The unique design consists of hook-in type pedestals, support beams and brackets. The Sanset lavatory is manufactured from stainless steel and combines unique design and functionality. The bowl of the lavatory is in the shape of an ellipse, all edges of the lavatory are softly rounded. This combination blends the continuity of the design, with the hygienic safety and comfort of the user. The one piece deep-drawn 18 gauge stainless steel lavatory prevents the accumulation of dirt and germs and the smooth, ellipsoidal surface allows the lavatory to be self draining, resulting in a cleaner and more hygienic fixture. PRACTICAL OPTIONS: Multiset and Sanset are available with overflow, tap hole and soap tray. 6

7 Knee operated or foot pushbutton operated The individual WF-Series are designed as a hands-free handwash station without electronic activation. They are made from durable AISI 304 stainless steel. The bowl is deep drawn and has a 1/2 strainer with overflow. The handwash station has a cast brass chromed gooseneck spout. 8 Ash White Pearl Black Solid Surface: ultra strong and hygienic Solid Surface is a synthetic material with an extremely durable surface. Intersan manufactures its solid surface under the trademark Solidsan. This indestructible compound material meets strong mechanical testing and is resistant to stains and burns. Moreover, the smooth, non-porous surface makes the material extremely hygienic. Solidsan contains several features within the lavatories: it is durable, extremely hygienic, non-porous, thoroughly colored, entirely seamless, maintenance-friendly, very strong, vandalresistant and environmental-friendly. Intersan s solid surface has been formulated with an anti-microbial agent. This agent will inhibit the growth of bacteria and is present throughout the material. Intersan s anti-microbial protection is permanent and will not dissipate or scratch off and is registered with the FDA and approved by the EPA. Sanifount : ideal for renovation Do you have concerns about restroom lavatory sanitation? These can be easily retrofitted with Sanifount washfountains. The Sanifount is powered by a battery back which makes it perfect for retrofit. The electronically operated units can be supplied with a hands-free, soap dispenser, which provides the user with one shot of soap before the water flows. Though not much larger in size than a conventional lavatory, the Sanifount can serve two, three or four users simultaneously (depending on the model), and is the ideal solution to restrooms with intensive traffic. The Solidwave has a smooth, non-porous surface, and is formulated with Intersan s anti-microbial agent providing optimal hygiene and easy maintenance. The Solidwave is available for one to three users, either with a stainless steel sprayhead or with one of Intersan s many faucet options. Advantage: Because of its special concept and its compact design, the Solidwave is completely pre-plumbed and pre-assembled and requires only one set of supplies and one drain. The Saniwave lavatory is designed for use as either an individual wash station or as bank of wash stations each supplied with an independent drain and supply. Every Saniwave is delivered with shelving to accessorize the unit. The Saniwave can be supplied with Intersan s stainless steel water distribution head or with one of Intersan s electronic faucets. In any case the fixture will always be supplied with a 0.5 gpm vandal resistant nozzle. The lavatories are also available with an automatic one-shot soap dispenser. 10 soap water Electronic faucets: low energy consumption Unique passive detection system & one-shot soap system When you want to bring your existing lavatories into the 21st century: Intersan has hands-free faucets for maximum hygiene! All of our models are battery operated and utilize a passive detection system. The system is waiting in a quiescent state until the sensor signals the presence of human hands within the broad detection area. Users no longer need to be worried about unsanitary conditions: the hands-free operation prevents contact with dirt and/or contaminated fixtures. This design is also very comfortable for disabled users. Since our detection system does not emit an infra-red beam, the faucet consumes less energy. Through the use of energy saving components, the battery can last for up to 200,000 cycles. Intersan offers models with a patented integrated handsfree soap dispenser. When the faucet is activated, the user gets a shot of liquid soap followed by the regular watercycle. This design maximizes comfort and hygiene! 11 Models Wavetronic : for the better washroom Wavetronic combines unique technology with a faucet design that will blend in with the existing fixtures in public washrooms. The microprocessor, battery and solenoid valve are perfectly integrated in the chromed brass faucet and are readily accessible. The brass body is seamless. This design prevents the harboring of germs or debris. Santronic : safety in different versions Santronic faucets are made of tubular chromed brass and are supplied with a separate connection box that contains all the electronic components. Santronic is available in three different versions: Santronic Gooseneck, Santronic Standard or Santronic Wall Hung The Santronic faucet offers superior hygiene by utilizing the one-shot soap system. The Santronic faucet is also available with a stainless steel spout, which is especially designed for environments requiring maximum hygiene e.g. hospitals, medical facilities, burn centers, food preparation, etc. Istronic :the classic design in public rooms The sensor operated Istronic has proven its durability in public and industrial applications over the years. The faucet body is made of stainless steel, and all electronic components (solenoid valve, microprocessor, battery) are mounted on a removable plate. The Istronic is available with three finishes and can be supplied with an integrated one-shot soap dispenser. Intersan utilizes a unique high-tech polishing process that results in a durable easy to clean mirror-like surface. LINE 4: completely integrated The Line 4 is made of chromed brass and has an active infrared detection system. The battery, solenoid valve and detection system are perfectly integrated in the brass faucet. The Line 4 is available in two versions: with tempered water, or with an external mixer, allowing the user to adjust the water temperature themselves. LINE 5: energy choice Intersan delivers this electronic faucet of chromed brass with a battery and a 120 V transformer. The batteries can function as back-up power in case the transformer is chosen as the main power source. Batteries, electronic components and solenoid valve are located in a connection box conveniently located beneath the lavatory. 11

12 Accessories Flotronic for watersaving renovations Isi-soap : energy efficient soap dispenser The no-touch electronic soap dispenser functions with the unique patented detection system from Intersan, powered by a long-life battery. The no-touch electronic activation eliminates the risk of contamination by eliminating contact with the dispenser. The electronics only react when triggered by moving hands, which provides maximum energy savings. This dispenser is ideal for installation on Intersan troughs, which minimizes the chance of soap ending up on the floor through its location within the trough itself. The Isi-soap soap dispenser is available with different types of activation, either push button or electronic. Old shower installations can be retrofitted very easily with this electronic shower column in stainless steel AISI 304, which uses a unique Intersan detection system powered by a 9V lithium battery. The electronics, battery and solenoid valve are hidden behind the shower column and are easily accessible for maintenance. Flotronic saves water by utilizing an efficient sprayhead which only consumes 1.85 gpm at 44 psi. The model with piezo touch buttons closes automatically after ending the cycle and allows the users themselves to end the water cycle. The Flotronic is perfectly designed for public washrooms i.e. stadiums, arenas. 12

14 Water saving Intersan fixtures Example OFFICE 6 Santronic Piezo faucets placed in an office use as much water as two 3-user Sanifount washfountains. Santronic Piezo faucets can accommodate up to 120 male and 120 female office employees ( 1 lavatory/faucet per 40 employees). The frequency of use per day per person : 3 times = 720 uses per day = 10 seconds per usage.
