3 REFLUX EXTRACTOR DANGER The equipment is suitable for working only with NON FLAMMABLES and NON EXPLOSIVE materials. The use of the equipment with inflammable or explosive materials can be source of fire or explosion risks Use the equipment only and exclusively with non flammable and non explosive materials. The manufacturer assumes no liability for any damages to property or persons caused by non-compliance with the above-mentioned instructions. USE PRECAUTIONS 1. Read the following instructions carefully, for useful safety information regarding installation, use and maintenance and to help avoid mishaps and accidents. 2. Remove the packing and make sure that the appliance is intact, paying special attention to the supply cable. 3. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and consult qualified personnel. 4. Before connecting the appliance make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the data specified on the table. The appliance can be damaged if the voltage is not correct. 5. If the plug does not suit the socket, replace it with another suitable plug using qualified personnel only, also ensure that the socket cable is suitable for appliance power consumption. 6. The use of adaptors/multiple plugs and/or extensions is not recommended; should they be necessary please use only simple or multiple adaptors and extensions in compliance with the safety rules in force, making sure that the capacity absorption limit marked on the simple adaptors and the extensions and the maximum power limit marked on the multiple adaptor are not exceeded. 7. Do not use the appliance if the cable or the plug shows any damage. 8. Do not use the appliance after any fault. In this case, switch it off and do not take it apart. Refer to an authorised after-sale service for repair and use original spare parts only. Failing to follow these instructions may impair the safety of your appliance. 9. This appliance is designed for a specific purpose. Any other use is to be considered as improper and thus dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be responsible for any damages deriving from improper or incautious use. 10. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plug or any parts of the appliance into water or other fluids. 11. Disconnect the plug from the mains socket when the appliance is not used or when cleaning it. Allow to cool before cleaning. 20. If you decide to discontinue use of the appliance, make it unserviceable by cutting the supply cable after disconnecting the plug from the socket. Also make any dangerous parts unserviceable. 21. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING AND CLEANING 1. The electric hotplates are tested for use in the manner prescribed by international CE standards. 2. The electric hotplates must only be plugged into sockets with a minimum capacity of 16A and fitted with an effective earth. 3. Take great care to ensure that while the equipment is in operation the power cable does not come into contact with hot parts of the hotplates. 4. Do not handle the electric hotplates when switched on. Do not put the electric hotplates into cupboards or on shelves until the unit has completely cooled down. 5. When throwing the electric hotplates away, do not dispose of them as household waste, but deliver It to the appropriate organisation or persons who recover metals. 6. Unwind the cord before usage. 2

5 USE INSTRUCTIONS The electric hotplates are equipped with two thermostats (one per each hotplate) for continuous regulation of temperature. The required temperature is set with a knob numbered from 0 up to 6. The higher the number selected, the higher the temperature of the hotplate. At position 0, the hotplate is switched off at room temperature above zero degrees Celsius. When connected to the electric mains, the hot plate is switched on by positioning the main switch to 1 (a light will switch on irrespective of the position of the hot plate thermostat). After using several times, the ideal position for the thermostat will be found. Always turn off the hotplate after usage. The hotplate is equipped with a thermostat which prevents overheating. Connect the plug to the socket to turn on the hotplate. Unplug the cord to turn off the hotplate, turn always the appliance after usage. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Always disconnect the cable hotplate from the mains supply before cleaning. Enamelled and painted surfaces can be cleaned with a weak cleaning solution and a damp cloth. The hotplate should be cleaned occasionally with steel wool soaked in cooking oil. 3
