4 UNPACKING THE SIEVE SHAKER PLEASE REFER TO DIAGRAM ON NEXT PAGE This Packing Case should contain the following items: 1 X BASE UNIT 1 X SIEVE TABLE 1 X CLAMP 2 X BRIDGE RODS WITH LOCKING NUTS 2 X CLAMP LOCKING HANDLE ASSEMBLIES 1 X CAN OF OIL 1 X MAINS SUPPLY LEAD 1 X 7/32" ALLEN KEY 1 X 5/16 ALLEN KEY 1 X INSTRUCTIONS AND MAINTENANCE FOLDER PLEASE ADVISE US IMMEDIATELY IF ANY PARTS ARE MISSING INSTALLATION The Shaker must be placed on a flat surface that adequately supports the weight of the Unit, space must be allowed for the "tilt" of the Shaker and for access to the oiling points. Ventilation should be provided around the base of the Shaker. The underside of the Sieve Table is fitted with a Peg, this MUST be located in the U shaped cut- out at the rear of the Base Unit. Push the Sieve Table firmly down onto the round flange in the Base Unit and secure with the 3 Screws provided, ensuring that the small peg projecting from the flange is located in the underside of the Sieve Table-the flange can be rotated as required. Remove the locking nuts from the Bridge Rods and position one Rod each side of the Sieve Table and secure with the locking nuts. Push each Clamp Locking Handle Assembly into either side of the Clamp ensuring that the holes are in line, and then slide the whole over the Bridge Rods. Remove the upper square-headed plug on the L.H.Side of the Machine and fill the Shaker with the oil provided. The correct level is in the centre of the window in the front of the Shaker. Plug the power cord into your A/C Mains Supply.

6 OPERATION Raise the Clamp to the top of the Bridge Rods and lock into position with the locking handles. Place the Sieve stack with Lid and Receiver onto the Sieve Table. Release the locking handles to allow the Clamp to slide down onto the lid, apply firm pressure to the Clamp and tighten the locking handles securely. Switch on at your mains supply and turn the Timer to the required sieving period. MAINTENANCE (REFER TO DIAGRAM ON NEXT PAGE) Regularly check the tightness of the locking nuts securing the Bridge Rods and the screws securing the Sieve Table. ALWAYS ensure that the Peg (and sleeve) is in the correct position, otherwise the Sieve Table will rotate and damage the internal mechanism. OIL points 1-4 every 4 months and ensure that the gearbox oil is at the correct level using SAE 10 Oil for both applications. Keep the Drive Belt (Item ) tensioned with about 6mm slack at the mid-point of the belt by slackening the locking nut (Item ), tightening nut (Item ) and re-tightening the locking nut. The Shaker can be cleaned with a damp cloth, check for any oil leaks whilst cleaning.. A PAT certificate is enclosed at the back of this folder, the Shaker should be regularly tested in line with the certificate or to your requirements.
