2 Our story The ASKO story is a good one. It started back in 1950 in Vara, Sweden, with an innovative young man s dream to build a washing machine for his mother to suit her every need. In typical ASKO manner they have all been design coordinated, displaying the perfection of Scandinavian minimalism, making sure your new kitchen has a timeless edge. Not to mention their functionality. We have even developed 3 different types of controls on our ovens to suit your needs. 9

9 Brains and Beauty ASKO s new ovens combine Scandinavian design and an easy clean TouchProof stainless steel exterior with the latest features that allows for fast and efficient cooking. 3 intelligent cooking modes offer precise cooking through temperature sensors, and even airflow provides an exceptional cooking result. Easy to Use The OP8650 features 3 different cooking modes: Auto Cooking - where you simply select the item you wish to cook and the oven determines when it will be ready. This is done through a series of humidity sensors which measure the moisture in the oven. Coach Cooking: Could be defined as a Semi Auto program select the food group and input the weight and the oven will cook it for you. Individual: For those who wish to experience being in complete control, simply select one of the individual programs and manipulate the end cooking time yourself. Pyrolytic cleaning Ovens that can clean themselves? Yes ASKO has a system which heats up to 500 C which will render using harsh cleaning agents as a thing of the past. All you do is wipe away any residual (not on OT8620). Design Not all customers like the same design so we have come up with 3 unique looking control panels to suit all tastes. From a completely flat Touch control panel, which is so easy to use to a conventional dial operation for those who prefer a more traditional approach. Either way you will get a design which is timeless and simple to use. Precise cooking Our Pyrolytic ovens have Quadruple glazing to keep the heat in the oven where it belongs. Match this with our temperature sensor which maintains the precise temperature throughout the duration of your cooking. This will enable you to not only cook well but save on valuable energy. All our 60 cm conventional ovens feature an A in Energy (European Standards). 10

18 cooktops The aim for simplicity in the new range of ASKO cooktops has resulted in a stylish design and remarkable functionality. The range includes induction, gas and ceramic cooktops to make sure we can cater for you needs, whatever they might be. 19

19 Cooktops Our cook tops are not only easy to use, but will fulfill all your cooking needs. Whether its the largest pot of boiling water to simmering chocolate, the cook top will cope with all types of cooking. Induction An ASKO induction cooktop provides the same flexibility and fast heat regulation as a gas hob, with less hassle. Food spills are easy to wipe off after cooking and best of all: an induction cooktop is also quicker and more efficient than any other type of cook top. Our induction cook tops have Auto pot sensing technology. The zone will adjust its heat transference, by sensing the exact diamatre of the pot placed on the zone. Matched with a flexible 12 step temperature control who could ask for more. Ceramic Our ceramic cooktops have fast heat up and 4 halogen adjustable cooking zones. They also feature EasyTouch controls with residual heat indication and have a flat surface for easy cleaning and a spillage area for 0.6 litres. And just in case you forget to turn the cooktop off, it features an auto shut off function. Gas ASKO s gas cooktops feature one piece directional burners with automatic ignition as well as removable knobs and smooth cast iron trivets for easy cleaning. They also offer circular gas flame holes for curved flames to minimise gas usage and ensure a precise cooking result. If the gas supply is interrupted, our cooktops feature an Auto Cut function. They also feature child proof controls, which means that you have to turn the knob and hold it down for a couple of seconds for it to ignite. 20

Performance Our rangehoods have various speeds to suit all your needs. Our new concealed rangehood features a powerful extraction rate of 750m 3 h to remove all those lingering cooking odurs. ASKO s slide out models feature 4 flexible speed settings with front mounted controls for ease of use and cleaning, combined with our insulated silent motors they make a compelling argument for choosing an ASKO. Touch controls The fully electronic touch controls on our canopy rangehoods make for a flat surface that is easy to wipe clean and easy to use. With the touch of your fingertip the large display will illuminate highlighting all the chosen settings, like when it s time to wash the filters or what setting you are using. There s even a clock! The controls are front mounted for easy access and the LCD display features adjustable brightness for personalised visibility. Boost function The boost function should be used when you wish to extract a maximum amount of food smells or fumes for a short period of time, when frying fish for example. The new and innovative XXL 4 basket solution makes sure you can fit just about anything, while the range of programs and options take care of your dishes. 29

29 The ultimate dishwasher For us it s a matter of pride to develop smart solutions and only use high-quality materials when producing our appliances. Some of our solutions could seem quite simple, like the fact we re using steel instead of plastic wherever possible, but the durability and performance of our products will prove that sometimes the simplest solution is the smartest. Build quality As per our byline built to last longer, the focus on durability has been with us since the start of the company in And what better way to make sure that we live up to our standards than lifecycle tests and a rigourous test before every dishwasher leaves our factory. No other dishwasher has so many components made in steel instead of plastic. Because we all know that steel has a longer lifespan than plastic when mixed with high temperatures and corrosive detergent. Performance An ASKO dishwasher saves water. It uses as little as 13.9 litres of water on a normal wash. And thanks to our basket design and water distribution system, there is no need to rinse the dishes before loading them, which means even less water wastage. All ASKO s dishwashers have a 4 star WELS water rating and a 3.5 star energy rating. The flexibility of our baskets enables you to clean various sized dishes, oven trays etc in your dishwasher where up to 10 spray zones make sure they are perfectly clean and our Turbo fan drying system takes care of the drying. Could it be any easier? The world s most flexible baskets The XXL dishwasher features a new four level basket system with height adjustable and removable baskets to offer you complete flexibility. The new design allows you to wash those big pots and oven dishes you can t fit in a normal dishwasher. For your delicate wine glasses, small bowls or kitchen utensils we suggest you use our supportive racks. And to protect your glassware and china, there is knife basket for knives and other sharp items. The XXL dishwasher will fit your dishes no matter what size or material. Less cleaning up means more time for fun (D5893 has 4 levels). Water safety Coming home to water leaking in the kitchen is an experience we can do without. That s why our dishwashers have an all-welded steel casing to prevent external leakage and sensors to avoid internal leakage. To save you from unnecessary service costs, the Anti-Block drain pump is easy to clean and all internal water pipes are made of durable stainless steel. But there s more; we use a pex water hose designed to last for a minimum of 25 years. 30

36 washers Our new range of ASKO washing machines are extremely easy to use. The control panel displays what the machine is doing, and program selections can be made by one simple turn of the control knob. 37

37 A washer unlike any other ASKO s washers are the only ones on the market not to have any rubber seal. This means less cleaning, no residual detergents and maybe more importantly, no more leaking. With our SmartSeal solution the door seals directly to the stainless steel drum which makes loading and unloading much easier and much more hygienic. Why would you want to drag your clean clothes through a dirty rubber seal? Sometimes less really is more. Quattro If you are after a long-lasting washing machine, there is really only one option ASKO. Our unique approach to construction and build quality is demonstrated by our use of steel. The Quattro construction is built entirely out of steel and from the bottom up, which minimises the strain on the machine. The inner bowls rests on four spring legs and use cast iron counter weights for stability. This means that the internal part of the machine is completely independent from the outside body. Combined with a balance control system that automatically re-distributes the load, we have made sure to minimise vibration. Functionality Ease of use is one of the key objectives our designers always bring with them to the drawing board. At ASKO we believe that function and form are equally important. 49 A smart laundry solution ASKO s drying cabinet is a unique product on the Australian market today. It is more spacious than it looks with the equivalent of 16 metres of clothes line. It will dry everything from overalls, boots, shoes, coats and damp sports gear to delicate silk and linen garments in less than two hours. Performance If you are environmentally conscious, the drying cabinet is a laundry solution for you. It uses much less electricity than a conventional dryer. It is also extremely quiet.
