2 WL series vibrators with internal automatic separation SAS/SAD designed for better finishes due to better solutions Construction characteristics 1 Particular attention has been paid to design, using the most up-to-date calculation means and test equipment. The use of new research techniques into three-dimensional balancing has now allowed harmonics, a frequent cause of problems, to be controlled. 2 The modern, heavy and compact structure is fabricated in quality certified steel using the most advanced electro-welding techniques. For greater reliability, the structure is normalised through heat treatment followed by sandblasting and painting, performed using the best possible protection and the most up-to-date anti-pollution techniques. 3 The monolithic tank, without a sump or screws, is lined with a thick layer of scratch-proof, oil-proof and anti-stick polyurethane. 4 The flat groove is the primary condition for obtaining an optimum finish and an improved production output. In the sector of mass surface finishing, the new WL serie of vibrators represents the most up-to-date, reliable and rational answer to the increasing demands of the market. More and more companies, in fact, require maximum rapidity and flexibility in their production cycles without detracting from the high quality level and without having to face exorbitant costs. The WL vibrators are the result of the most technologically advanced machining and construction techniques: they allow modular automatic work stations to be created, enabling the most complex process cycles to be completed in the most rational manner. 5 Separation grid, with rapid wedge locking, utilises the patented WL Wedge lock system. There are two types of separation: - SAS (Simple), with a plastic grid; - SAD (Double), a grid of painted or plastic coated metal rolls. The grids provide a large separation area. Thanks to the patented WL system, they can be interchanged safely and in the shortest time possible. Furthermore, the elimination of all screws and fastenings prevents those annoying problems such as seizing, breaking and structural damage which, as they lead to frequent maintenance, create dead periods during the production process. 6 Moto-vibrator. The heart of the machine is well oversized and thoroughly tested and does not normally require maintenance or regular greasing. 7 Vibration control, thanks to the most versatile and universal system allowing the choice of either manual or automatic operation for rapid and perfect results. 8 Three-dimensional balancing and adjustment of the machine mean continuous and correct adherence of the abrasive inserts to the pieces being processed, preventing those harsh movements which cause pitting and hardening of the surfaces. The result is an optimum fine smoothing, micro-finishing and polishing process. 2

3 Ideal and functional proportions in the flat groove structure Universal control of the centrifugal forces Main Uses These machines have been designed for surface finishing of metal parts such as: - zamak (accessories for leather, buckles, custome jewellery, etc.) - brass (taps, handles, metal trinkets, etc.) - aluminium (pressed or die-cast) - alpaca (pump bodies, cycle components, electronic parts, spectacles, etc.) - steel (gears, trinkets, tools, etc.) - stainless steel (houseware, cutlery, bearing parts, food industry components). The machines are used in particular for deburring, smoothing, polishing and mat finishing of pieces, with maximum dimensions and weights as reported in the table of page 11, using ureic, plastic, ceramic, wooden chips and corn sawdust. Technical characteristics The machine consists of: - a base, work tank, moto-vibrator, electric panel. Base Circular shell of electro-welded steel, with a vibration-free spring mounted work tank: no need therefore for rubber vibration dampers or floor anchors. Work tank Fabricated in electro-welded and normalised sheet steel: - circular tank with semi-toroidal section - lining in oil-proof, scratch-proof polyurethane with anti-stick grooves - lower outlet to enable rapid replacement of inserts, with block-proof polyurethane plug - ball valve for water drain; connection for second drain with manual or automatic valve - manifold with capillary holes for washing and rinsing finished product - unloading ramp in polyurethane. Separation SAS single separation wear-resistance plastic grid with holes of 30 mm; SAD double separation grid with painted or plastic coated steel rolls with distance of 14 mm. Moto-vibrator Compact, oversized flanged unit incorporating a new design of excentric mass three-phase asynchronous motor, allowing adjustments to be made simply and accurately according to the type of work to carry out. 12 SOUNDPROOFING COVERS Soundproofing covers are available for the five vibrator models and three dryer models. The covers have manual/automatic opening and closing, thanks to which the noise levels are contained. For overall dimensions, refer to the table on page 11. Waste water treatment Purification plants with continuous and discontinuous sludge recovery. Nicem can supply purification plants from the simplest manual type to the most automatic for the clarification of water from vibrofinishing treatment. In manual plants, filtering is obtained by decantation and separation through filtering bags of the solid elements which can be founded in waste water. In semi-automatic plants, the clarification of the water is obtained by adding a de-emulsifying-adsorbent product that causes the formation of flocculi which adsorb the major part of impurities in the water. The purifying process is based on the clarification of the water via flocculation and decantation process. All the treatments produce waste sludge which is of the palpable and stabilised type and must be disposed of as "special waste". In the first solution (DEC2N) the cycle is manual and discontinuous with control panel with motor protection device.
