Ease in activities such as reading, writing and watching TV, as well as clear access to the restroom are important for patient comfort. #2: The Staff Zone, with lighting around a sink, sanitizer or counter for writing. Direct and bright illumination allows for concise and shadow-free access to the patient. #3: The Visitor Zone, where the lighting allows for visitors to feel comfortable spending time with a loved one.
