2 Bringing control within your grasp is a family of software and hardware technologies that facilitate the remote activation of a diverse range of downhole Completion and Intervention tools. The technology has been exclusively designed, developed and manufactured in-house by Omega. The flagship technology is known as Demand Activation and allows the operator to open, close, cycle, or activate a downhole tool in real-time by manipulating well pressure. In addition to Demand Activation several complimentary signalling technologies within the product family have been developed. These additional solutions allow signalling technology to be utilised in almost any well environment or operational scenario. can save you time and money, increase asset recovery and significantly reduce risk. Omega s granted Downhole Signalling patent describes a technology that allows communication to a downhole device in a flowing well without the need for additional surface or wellbore hardware. Over the last 16 years we have gained a massive amount of experience & knowledge in selecting the very best electronics for the harshest downhole environments. Through extensive and rigorous testing, we verify that all our components can be safely used at elevated temperatures. At Omega we have developed 3 distinct signalling methods providing the flexibility to tackle a range of operational scenarios. The appropriate technology level with regard to functionality, flexibility and efficiency, can be assigned to your specific operational requirement. Timer, Command & Demand activation combine to make up our suite of communication methods. Each method contributes its own specific set of features, benefits and applications. Omega-Completion Technology s Remotely Activated Technology is embedded in a wide range of our Completion and Intervention tools. The entire range of enabled Completion & Intervention tools can be easily connected to a laptop via a USB interface and programmed on site using our simple and intuitive DMU & CMU controller software.

4 Real time programmable flexibility Our technology encompasses the patented Demand signalling method, an unrivalled means of communicating with a device in a flowing well without the need for additional surface or wellbore hardware. At Omega Completion Technology, we are bringing intelligent reservoir control within your grasp. Command Activation A Command signal is generated by altering tubing pressure. Command technology continuously scans for a valid signal allowing the tools to be activated at any time. Upon recognition of the Command signal each tool will either open immediately or initiate a pre-programmed countdown. Tool 3 Tool 4 Deployment 60 Mins 48 Hrs Signal Start Scan Starts There are currently 3 distinct signalling methods. Timer Activation The illustration shows a tool programmed to recognise two pressure increases as a valid activation signal. Demand Activation 18 Months Tool 2 Tool 1 6 Months Signal End Day 2 Day 1 Scan Ends Tools are programmed at surface to activate after the expiry of a specified time period. The illustration shows 4 tools programmed to activate throughout a period of 2 years. The Timer activation method allows tools to be run in either the open or closed position. A Demand signal is generated by choking back the well during two consecutive pre-determined scan periods. Each tool is programmed to scan for a Demand signal at a specific time of the day. In a well with multiple tools Demand activation allows each tool to be independently activated. 1 Year Timer Command Demand The illustration shows a tool programmed to scan for a valid Demand signal at the same time on two consecutive days. The Demand activation method allows tools be to run in either the open or closed position.
