Common for all these projects is that the drilling CCTV on the platforms has been upgraded. For some of the rigs, the existing CCTV equipment was replaced with new HERNIS systems, while other rigs were not equipped with CCTV before.the contracts are a direct result of several years of intense focus and emphasis towards the offshore market in the UK. Transocean s Technical Support Group in Aberdeen did not have a standard for CCTV systems, but a few years ago when they were reviewing a number of systems available on the market, they ended up recommending the systems from HERNIS Scan Systems AS. 3 Successful Sea Trial of Maersk Dispatcher On 29th October 2005 The Maersk Company Canada Limited took delivery of the anchorhandling tug supply vessel MAERSK DISPATCHER from the Asenav Shipyard in Chile.The vessel has joined the existing fleet of 56 vessels operated by Maersk Supply Service. During the successful Sea Trials in October, the HERNIS equipment was duly tested and corresponding protocols were accepted. HERNIS delivered a complete CCTV system, including 16 Camera Stations S7 and this is the first HERNIS delivery to a shipyard in Chile.The contact was awarded based on many years of good cooperation with Maersk, and after close dialogue between the purchasing office and HERNIS Agent in Germany, Marine & Offshore Equipment GmbH & Co. The order included option for another two vessels. Most of the signal is the part produced by the light intensity in the image area.this part of the signal is called the luminance signal. Its only one part of the signal, however. A full video signal consists of luminance information, signals that control the movements of the beam, and signals that convey colour information. The system consists of close to 200 specialised camera stations for the offshore hazardous area environment where they will be installed on five different Wellhead Platforms as well as the main FPSO. Each of the Wellhead platforms and the FPSO will be using HERNIS HE400 System with Digital recorders. Furthermore, the FPSO and one of the Wellhead platforms will be able to remotely control the other four wellhead platforms, in order for the operators to get the best possibly overview of the everyday operations. This new large scale Project adds onto an amazing winning streak for the HERNIS Regional Office in Asia this year. In the last few months, End-user decisions for utilizing high quality equipment combined with superb support is the key to the success. Important factors, such as for example the Unocal Thailand s decision of standardising on using HERNIS on all their Platforms in the Gulf of Thailand (Total of 11 platforms in the Gulf of Thailand alone), has made it possible for HERNIS to expand rapidly its support and operations in the Asia Pacific Region. Bohai Phase II / Svein Gundersen and Egil Norman Olsen, HERNIS Scan Systems (inserted) LNG Bonny upgrade to HERNIS 400 In connection with the upgrade and retrofit of the LNG Bonny, STASCO (Shell International Trading & Shipping Company Ltd.) placed an order with HERNIS Scan Systems AS for delivery of a reliable CCTV system. Based on our long-standing relationship with Shell and using the latest development technology available at HERNIS, we were able to meet the requirements with the HERNIS 400 Compact system. The HERNIS 400 Compact has superseded the well-proven HERNIS 250 system and is based on the same software platform as the HERNIS 400 and HERNIS 500 control systems.the compact system is supplied as a package, complete with its own CCTV control system. This includes a control cabinet suitable for the present requirements of the LNG Bonny, but also with the possibility to add further camera stations and functions such as the Ethernet and PCs etc at a later date.these options mean that the vessel will be able to easily up-grade the latest technology in line with any changes in operational conditions. The LNG Bonny, shown in the accompanying photograph, is part of the expanding liquefied natural gas carrier fleet operated by STASCO. Built at Kockums in Sweden, she has a total cargo capacity of 132,588 cubic metres and carries LNG from Nigeria LNG's vast natural gas resources, mainly to Europe and the USA. The continuous improvement of the Health Safety & Environment and operational performance of each ship in the fleet is of great importance to all concerned with the LNG Bonny and is subject to continual review. Star Deep Petroleum, Chevron Texaco s Nigerian affiliate is targeting the project to be completed with 1st oil production by 1st Quarter of It will be moored in about 4,700 feet water dept and at least 40 subsea wells will most likely be necessary to fully exploit the field. The FPSO will be designed to handle 250,000 barrels of oil per day, 450 Million cubic feet of gas production per day and 450,000 barrels of injected water per day. Approximately 415 million cubic feet of gas per day will be reinjected. Designed to store approximately 2.2 million barrels of oil, the Agbami Vessel is set to be on location for more than 20 years. It will have thirteen topside modules, which contain the main process and utility systems.
