2 GENANOTUBE XS (MEDICAL) INDOOR AIR PURIFICATION SYSTEM The GenanoTube XS (Medical) is an air purification device, based on a unique and patented technology. With this unique technology even the smallest impurities can be filtered out of the air like on the one hand viruses, bacteria, prions, spores and animal substances and on the other hand inorganic particles like soot, originating from the traffic. These are ultrafine particles which are only recently recognized as a health risk, since they penetrate easily by means of the air respiratory system into in the vascular system. Fine particles are in many cases the cause of heart and vascular diseases, cancer and even premature dead. GENANO air purification systems use no fiber filters which can form a medium for microbes. The technology is optionally equipped with filter material to remove gas, such as toxic traffic gasses and ozone. The GenanoTube XS (Medical) has been extensively tested. By ignoring this instruction, the supplier/manufacturer cannot be held responsible. The device is only suited for indoor use. No objects can be pushed through the openings in the device. This can disturb the functioning and provides risk on personal lesion and/or fire. Connection The device is supplied with an electricity plug. Never use the device with damaged cable and/or plug or after the device functioned badly or has been damaged in any way. 4 INSTALLATION AND INSTRUCTIONS 1. Plug fan and High Voltage-plug into the control box. Assure yourself that the HV-plug is well connected. NV RPR Hasselt BTW BE KBC IBAN BE BIC KREDBEBB

5 2. Connect the GenanoTube XS to the power using the power cable. Assure yourself that the main swicth is turned off while connecting to the power circuit. Use no other voltages then indicated. Only use an power connections with earth connection.(b NL: 230 V / 50 Hz) 3. Switch the device on using the main switch. 4. Use the black switch to control the fan speed. IMPORTANT! To reduce the risk of electric shock, this equipment has a grounding type plug that has a third (grounding) terminal(s). This plug is only allowed to connect into a grounding type power outlet. 6 FUNCTIONING OF THE DEVICE Normal mode The device collects efficiently atmospheric particles in a collection section. This collection section must be regularly serviced, depending on the functioning and the contamination degree. The service should be done by competent staff of Genano. The fan pulls air through the GenanoTube. Remarks: The use of the unit is only allowed in normally ventilated spaces. Do not cover the entrance or the termination of the unit. Never turn on the device without having connected all cables! Reset Turn off the main switch an wait for 5 seconds. Switch back on. Service A service contract has to be discussed with authorized personnel of Genano. The device can only work correctly a limited time without service. Always disconnect the power source when opening the unit for service. Servicing the unit is explained by the following picture: To service the unit start with step 4 and proceed via step 3 and step 2 to step 1. 7 A youtube-movie is available to explain the service: Specialized cartridges can be made for every situation. The standard cartridge includes collecting materials and activated carbon. The end filter on the GenanoTube XS Medical should be replaced approximately every 3 months. It is mandatory to clean the isolator sockets on which the electrodes in the tube are mounted every ½ year. We recommend using a humid cloth (water, no chemicals). Do not use chemicals. Make sure the isolation sockets are visually clean. Do not use the GenanoTube XS (Medical) with damaged ionisation sockets. (isolation socket is the white block on the photo below; photo from inside the ionisation tube of the GenanoTube XS (Medical)) Indication servicing frequency: This is only an indication. Servicing frequency may vary greatly depending on the speed used, the specific circumstances and hours/day used. Dependent on the situation different cartridges can be used. Ask specialized advice from Genano. 8 WARRANTY The warranty period for GenanoTube is 1 year, and starts on the date of purchase. During the warranty period Genano will remedy failures which are due to the material or production errors. Genano can repair or replace, to its choice, the faulty device. Genano is not obliged to repair or replace devices if they are broken due to damage or improperly use, or any modifications which were introduced after the purchase date. DAMAGE cannot be held responsible under absolutely no condition for damage of whatever nature, if the device was not installed correctly according to the obligatory installation instructions, nor for damage as a result of unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, lightning screen, all from that resulting costs fall consequently exclusively at the expense of the purchaser, and are not covered by the warranty conditions.
