2 GENERAL NOTE The both Door-systems consist of always two arched Round sliding doors. The drive the sliding doors occur with one control unit des Types TA-4 with an integrated microprocessor. An integrated error analyser detects independent systeminterferebces and also the activation of the security sensors. The according error code can be shown. The reversing pressure with 150N (Newton) shouldn t be adjusted higher because of safety reasons. The operation modes the boths doors get with the belongingoperating switch adjusted. 5 KEY-OPERATING SWITCH (operating switch for one door) The operational modes (OFF-AUTOMATIC-EXIT-OPEN) can be chosen using the operating switch. Pressing the integrated reset button re-initialises the door system. IBS (SYSTEM DISPLAY) (system switch for one door) The IBS is a microprocessor controlled display and operation unit, with which the operation modes, special functions and door parameters are adjusted or displayed. The adjustments can be protected from unauthorised use by a customer specific code. In the normal function the actual time, is indicated, on the display. Due to an integrated error analytic device the corresponding error code is indicated in the display if an error occurs. By pushing the telephone button the telephone number of the service department is displayed until another button is pushed. If this telephone button is pushed continuously additionally to the telephone number, the confirmation number of the door is indicated. Datei: P3169 Func Conf Stand HB.doc Seite 5 von 11

6 INITIALISING AND CALIBRATING EACH DOOR Initialisation process Pushing the reset button within the operated operating switch less than 3 seconds the initialisation process starts. This causes the reset of the whole processor system. The door closes slowly until the reference position is found. Afterwards the door functions again in the chosen operation mode. This initialisation is done automatically after every power failure. Standardisation Pushing the reset button within the operated operating switch longer than 3 seconds, the adjustment process starts. As in the initialisation process this causes the reset of the whole processor system. The control unit defines the door opening and closing positions once more by closing the door wings slowly, opening them and closing them again. Also the speed, acceleration, the delay and the maximum speed are calculated especially for this door. Afterwards the door operates again in the chosen operation mode. Calibration Now, if the operation mode is changed from position OFF to AUTOMATIC, the door starts its program and looks for its locking position in creep speed. Afterwards the door is operating mode. 7 OPERATIONAL MODES FOR THE DOORSYSTEMS Operating switch in the OFF position Al motion detectors and light barriers are disabled. The boths doors are closed, and the outside door gets locked. Both doors arrested by means of the electro-magnetic break. Since motion detectors and light barriers are disabled while the door leaves close there is a danger of entrapment or being hit by the door. The pressure monitor is however still activated (see also over-current recognition). Operating switch in the AUTOMATIC position All impulse transmitters are enabled. Both doors are unlocked and open from the outside or inside when the relevant radar movement sensor s detection range has been entered or the relevant contact mat inside the drum has been stepped upon. After the hold-open period has elapsed the door closes provided no one is situated within the sensors (movement sensors, light sensors) detection range. The closed-door leaves are secured by means of the electro-magnetic break. Al motion detectors are enabled. 8 Operating switch in the EXIT position Internal door The internal door may be opened via the internal motion detector. The movement detector (internal door) within the drum is not connected actively. External door The external door can only be opened to exit the drum by via the movement detector (external door) within the drum, as the movement sensor located in on the canopy has been switched off. After the hold-open time has elapsed this particular door closes provided no one is situated within the relevant sensors detection range. The closed-door leaves are secured by means of the electro-magnetic break. 9 SAFETY DEVICES PERTAINING TO EACH DOOR Several safety devices guarantee the safety of human beings and objects. These are: Motion detectors Both doors Pressure monitoring (Power limitation) Both doors In the event that the detection range of a motion detector is entered into during the closing movement while the door is in the operating modes AUTOMATIC or EXIT the relevant door leaves will re-open. Should a door leaf meet an obstruction during the closing movement the door stops immediately and re-opens. The subsequent closing movement is carried out in slow motion. The door also switches off, should the door leaf meet an obstruction during the opening movement. The opening movement is completed in slow motion after three seconds. Vertical-Light barrier Type: P: Both doors Vertical light barriers built into the doorframe control the passage area. If during the closing-process in the positions AUTOMATIC or EXIT one of the light barriers will be interrupted the belonging door opens. If the light beam /receiver/transmitter) is interrupted through a person, dirt an external objects the door stays open. If the light barriers aren t used (light beam is free) the belonging door closes. Caution: In the operating modes OFF are the light barriers disabled! EMERGENCY-OFF-SWITCH Both doors After activating the emergency-off-switch the power supply is disconnected from this door control unit. Thus the function of this door is the same as at power failure. After reseting the switch this door must be normalised again. If the appertained operation switch has to be turned from position OFF to AUTOMATIC successively. 10 OPERATION DURING POWER FAILURE Note: OUTSIDE DOORS During power failure the operation of a particular door depends on the previously chosen operating mode: Operating switch in the OFF position During power failure the external door remains in the closed and locked mode. The external door is unlocked by pulling the unlocking guide, which is located laterally on the left side (viewed from inside the drum) and may now be opened manually. The door leaves may be closed and locked manually thereafter. Please note that the unlocking guide has to be reset manually to the locking mode in some locking mechanisms. Please ensure the pin is engaged securely. Operating switch in the AUTOMATIC and EXIT position The door leaves of the external door open automatically. They may be closed and locked manually thereafter. Operating switch in the OPEN position The door leaves of the external door remain open. INSIDE DOORS Operating switch in the OFF position During power failure the internal door remains in the closed condition. Operating switch in the AUTOMATIC and EXIT position The door leaves of the internal door open automatically. They may be closed manually thereafter. 11 OPERATION OF A PARTICULAR DOOR WHEN POWER RETURNS Generally after a power failure a restart-lock is active, therefore the door wings don t move. To release the restart-lock this operation switch has to be turned from position OFF to AUTOMATIC successively. This process is called standardisation. This door carries out a calibration movement at a slow speed. After the calibration phase this door is fully operational once again. Remark: this function description is only valid if is proved and released by the customer!
