Certification Rules NF 047 Page 5 of 60 Part 1 PRESENTATION AND SCOPE 1.1 Scope These certification rules NF047 concerns the appliances fed with hot water or steam at temperatures below 120 C. On this day, these rules apply to the following products: - Radiators fed with hot water, - Wall-mounted convectors fed with hot water, - Radiators or convectors with fans-assisted, - Mixed radiators, - Ceiling-mounted radiant panels fed with hot water. The definition of each product and the certified characteristics can be found in the appendices of part Who can apply for the NF mark and why? These rules are open to any applicant whose products fall within the above-defined scope and meet the technical requirements described in part 2 of this document: - definition of applicants / mandated bodies / distributors: 1 Applicant / holder: A legal entity that provides control and accountability for compliance with all requirements specified in the NF 047 mark standard. These requirements cover at least the following steps: design, fabrication, assembly, quality control, marking, packaging and introduction onto the market, and specify the critical points of each step. Any legal entity can claim the right to use the NF mark, if it meets at least one of the following three conditions: *intellectual ownership of the product, *fabrication (includes fabrication/assembly, quality control, marking and packaging), *distribution of the products. Any contractual ties between the applicant / holder and the service provider, to whom one of the requirements is subcontracted, must be defined in the form of a subcontracting contract between the two parties, as defined in part 8. In particular, this contract must specify the service provider's commitment to meet the applicable requirements of these rules.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 6 of 60 2 Mandated body: Legal entity or private individual located in the EEA which has a representative function of the applicant/holder outside the EEA and has a contractual and written power of attorney from the applicant/holder stating that it can act on its behalf and specifying in what framework (missions and associated responsibilities and financial aspects, claims, certifying body contact, among others) in the NF mark certification process in accordance with the provisions of the certification rules. The mandated body may be the distributor or the importer; its various functions are clearly identified. 3 Distributor: Legal entity distributing the products of the applicant/holder that does not modify the product with regard to NF mark requirements. The types of distributors can be the following: - distributors who do not intervene technically on the product and distribute the product under the holder's trademark, distributors who have no technical intervention on the product and distribute the product with a change of trademark. In this case, it is necessary to maintain the right to use or to apply for the right to use, if the applicant does not wish that explicit reference to the applicant/holder be made. In the latter case, the respective responsibilities are defined by contract and the agreement of the applicant/holder must be in writing, distributors who intervene technically on the product must apply for the right to use and are considered as applicants in their own right. 1.3 The NF mark Created in 1938, the NF mark is a registered collective certification mark that certifies the conformity of products with the applicable national, European and international standards, which may be completed by additional specifications, under the conditions defined in the certification rules. The mark is awarded by AFNOR Certification and its network of partners, which form the NF network. The NF mark is a voluntary product certification mark that meets the requirements of the French Consumer Code, in particular by involving the interested parties in the validation of the certification rule, by defining the rules applying to product markings and by communicating clearly and transparently on the main certified characteristics. The right to use the NF mark is granted on the basis of compliance with one or more standards and more generally with the entire rules, for a product coming from an applicant and a designated design and/or manufacturing and/or marketing process. Awarding the right to use shall under no circumstances substitute the legal responsibility of the company holding the right to use the NF mark by the responsibility of EUROVENT CERTITA Certification. The NF mark checks the characteristics for the protection of the safety of persons and property, suitability for use and the durability of products, and any other additional characteristics that differentiate the product on the market.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 7 of 60 Unanimously recognised by economic players, consumers, public authorities and institutions, the NF mark has acquired an indisputable reputation that has been rewarded by the very status as a "very well renowned mark" in France. This renown is based on: compliance with standards, a symbol of the consensus reached between the interested parties, the guarantee of quality, safe and high-performance products that have been tested and checked, the will to meet the changing needs of the markets, confidence in the robustness of the certification process resulting in the award of the mark (thoroughness, transparency and impartiality, command of the processes), confidence in the competence and impartiality of the bodies that award the mark. The operation of the NF mark relies on a network of mandated certifying bodies, technical secretariats, laboratories, inspection bodies, auditors and recognised regional technical experts that, along with AFNOR Certification, make up the NF Network. In accordance with the General Rules of the NF mark, AFNOR Certification has appointed EUROVENT CERTITA Certification, the certifying body, to manage the mark NF-047. EUROVENT CERTITA Certification is answerable to AFNOR Certification for the operations with which it is entrusted and which are covered by a contract with AFNOR Certification. 1.4 Contacts list Who to contact? Inspections must be made of: - the manner in which the radiators are stacked and stored, - the conformity of the markings with the product, - conformity of the products with the labelling requirements, according to the standard applicable to the product. If the maximum working pressure and/or thermal output and/or the characteristic equation are indicated, the conformity of these indications must be checked, - the integrity of the product s packaging, - the legibility of the NF mark, - presence of any visual faults in the paint Processing of complaints The manufacturer must take actions to manage complaints by customers about the certified products. The processing of complaints and any subsequent actions must be recorded and preserved. 2.5 Marking Marking is an integral part of the certification of a product. Beyond the identification of a certified product and its traceability, the marking of a product with the NF logo ensures better protection of the users and facilitates the defence of holders against misuse and fraudulent imitations.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 13 of 60 The reproduction and display of the AFNOR, AFNOR Certification and EUROVENT CERTITA Certification logos is strictly forbidden without the prior approval of these bodies Reference texts The French consumer code Article R of the French Consumer Code stipulates that: "When reference is made to certification in advertising, on labelling or the presentation of any product or service, and in commercial documents of any kind relating thereto, the following mandatory information shall be provided to the consumer or user: the designation or company name of the certifying body or the collective certification mark, The name of the certification referential used, The manner in which the certification rules can be consulted or obtained." Moreover, the purpose of indicating the main certified characteristics is to make the technical characteristics to which the NF mark applies more transparent for consumers and users. It adds value to the certification and its content. A certified characteristic is any technical characteristic whose content is checked within the scope of the NF mark. For the purposes of these certification rules, the certified characteristics are defined in the appendices of part 9. General Rules of the NF Mark The purpose of the marking rules given below is to guide the holder in complying with the regulation requirements and the NF certification requirements. The general rules of the NF mark specify the conditions of use, of validity and the penalties in the event of improper use of the NF mark. Without prejudice to the sanctions laid down in the general rules of the NF mark, any incorrect announcement of the certified features and any fraudulent use of the NF logo expose the holder to lawsuits for fraud and/or misleading advertising. Information related to the certified products are available on the website or They cover notably: - Product identification; - NF047 Rules; - Holder identification; - Certified characteristics; EUROVENT CERTITA Certification provides, on request, information regarding the validity of a given certification. The holder receives his identification number with the certification of admission to the right to use the NF mark. - Marking difficulties In case of technical impossibility, the mention relate on the type of product (title under the NF logo) thus this related at EUROVENT CERTITA CERTIFICATION and this on the web site address can be omitted, if these markings are not technically possible. If they are present, then these markings must be clearly legible. The minimum permissible markings are: (*) Holder's identification number. NF 047 / XXX (*) However, due to the specific nature of the NF 047-certified products, the following exceptions to the above-mentioned requirements are permitted: - the requirement for the minimum size of the standard logo defined in the style guide is replaced by the notion of legibility. - moulded or stamped markings will be corrected when a new tool is installed.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 17 of 60 When the holder experiences difficulties in meeting the above requirements, the planned type of marking is subject to prior approval by EUROVENT CERTITA Certification. The request must explain the reasons and the planned marking project. The following requirements must be met when self-adhesive labels are used: - They must withstand a minimum temperature of 110 C, - The adhesive must withstand the variations in temperature of the product, - The NF logo (as defined in paragraph 2.5.3) must withstand attack by solvents that are regularly used. The holder's application for exception must be accompanied by the label supplier's specifications, including details of the temperature limits. The holder must provide a commitment to meet the second and third requirements Marking on the packaging of the NF certified product or on supporting documentation (including labels) Displaying the NF mark on packaging and/or the documents accompanying the certified products is a means of promoting NF certified products. Therefore, holders of the NF mark are strongly advised to also display the NF mark on the packaging and/or the documents accompanying the certified products. In addition to the NF mark defined in 2.5.3, and at the very least, the reference and trade name of the certified product must also appear on the packaging Marking on documentation (technical and sales documents, labels, posters, advertisements, websites, etc.) Displaying the NF mark on the holder's documentation is a means of promoting these products. Therefore, holders of the NF mark are strongly advised to refer to it. References to the NF mark in the documentation must be made in such a manner that there is no risk of mixing up certified products and other products. The NF mark must be reproduced in the documentation and advertising materials in accordance with the conditions defined in paragraph Reproduction of the NF mark, as defined in 2.5.3, on the holder's letterhead is prohibited, unless the holder has been granted the NF mark for all of its production. In all cases, the holder must request prior approval from EUROVENT CERTITA Certification. Holders are advised to submit all their documents containing the NF mark to EUROVENT CERTITA Certification for prior approval in order to make sure that this paragraph has been correctly interpreted, to avoid any risk of errors and, by the same token, to avoid the immediate recall of any material that has already been released. Specific requirements for the products are described in part 9.

The examinations and tests of conformity with additional specifications must be performed by one of the NF mark's laboratories defined in paragraph 5.4 or by one of the laboratories recognised in the "RADMAC" agreement (mutual recognition of test results). The products to be tested are defined in part 9, depending on the products covered by the application for certification. The applicant usually directly approaches one of the NF mark's laboratories (as designated in part 5) or one of the laboratories recognised under the "RADMAC" agreement, with a view to proceeding with the product tests in accordance with the applicable standard and, where appropriate, with the additional specifications described in part 9, appendix A 4.2.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 23 of 60 The applicant/holder can also contact a laboratory accredited under the terms of the Construction products regulation n 305/2011. However, if the additional specifications described in part 9 appendix A 4.2 apply to the type of radiator in question, then these tests must be performed by one of the laboratories mentioned in paragraph 5.4. The applicant encloses the test reports and its catalogue (where appropriate) drawn up by the laboratory with its application for the right to use the NF mark. EUROVENT CERTITA Certification examines the test reports and checks the correlation with the application. If necessary, EUROVENT CERTITA Certification can refer the application to the NF-047 special committee. After granting the right to use the NF mark, EUROVENT CERTITA Certification can sample one or more of the holder's products, independently of the products that are covered by the monitoring of NF certified products defined in part 4. The purpose of these inspections is to confirm / check the conformity: - the thermal output (within a tolerance of -4% relative to the certified output), - pressure resistance, - products relative to the application submitted to EUROVENT CERTITA Certification to acquire the right to use the NF mark. Product sampling request The applicant may also ask for products to be sampled by an inspector, with a view to performing tests in one of the laboratories recognised under the "RADMAC" that it has designated at its request. EUROVENT CERTITA Certification determines the products, possibly by referring to one of the NF mark's laboratories for advice. The list of samples is sent to the applicant in readiness for sampling by EUROVENT CERTITA Certification's representative. The applicant must make sure that a set of 10 products for each sample is made available in the store or on the production line on the day when the samples are taken. Where appropriate, the person in charge of the sampling can ask for a product to be made. The samples are marked with a distinctive sign by EUROVENT CERTITA Certification s representative and sent by, and under the applicant's responsibility, to the test laboratory. The two parties jointly complete and sign the sampling sheet. The laboratory or EUROVENT CERTITA Certification draws up the test reports and sends them to the applicant. These reports may, as appropriate, be sent to the applicant before or after the evaluation audits The audit will last least one day. The audit, carried out by an NF auditor or an auditor recognised under the "RADMAC" agreement (mutual recognition of audit reports), has the purpose of ensuring that the measures defined and implemented by the applicant during the design and/or manufacturing and or marketing process meet the corresponding requirements established in part 2 of these certification rules. The audit is conducted according to the general principles laid down in the standard ISO/IEC for quality audits. The scope of the audit and the details of its execution are specified in an audit plan that is sent to the company beforehand.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 24 of 60 For situations in which the applicant subcontracts a part of their activity, EUROVENT CERTITA Certification reserves the right to send an NF auditor to audit the subcontractor(s) in the same terms established in these rules. The NF auditor must be provided with all the resources necessary (offices, installations, facilities) to perform the assignment, including competent people to carry it out. With the applicant's agreement, the auditors may make a copy of any document they consider necessary. The auditor can request or perform checks of one or more products on the spot. These checks may apply the requirements defined in these certification rules or in the standards applying to the products regarding: dimensions, mechanical resistance to pressure, resistance to pressure, the conformity of the welds, electrical safety tests, etc. Samples may be identified and/or taken during the audit for examinations or tests. They are sent to the test laboratory by, and under the responsibility of, the applicant. The auditor draws up a sampling sheet signed by both parties. At the end of the audit, the auditor hands over a summary of the audit to the applicant. An audit report is prepared and sent to the applicant. This report may, as appropriate, be sent to the applicant before or after the evaluation. It can be sent by the auditor or EUROVENT CERTITA Certification. An observer, bounded to the respect of confidentiality (this observer is chosen by EUROVENT CERTITA CERTIFICATION by standards and agreements which he has signed), can take part to the audit. The holder is systematically informed by EUROVENT CERTITA CERTIFICATION of the presence of this observer before the audit. EUROVENT CERTITA CERTIFICATION might suggest the applicant the involvement of another observer. Other types of applications A subsequent application for certification The requirements defined in paragraph 3.3 shall apply, on the following conditions: The audit can be adapted or combined with a monitoring audit. Applications for extension These applications cover changes to a certified product range (example: thickness of sheet metal, dimensions, etc.), or additional height(s),

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 25 of 60 EUROVENT CERTITA Certification examines the application and assesses the impact of the change made to the certified products. It may refer to one of the mark's laboratories for advice. If appropriate, it may ask for one or more products to be tested before taking a decision. The steps outlined in paragraph 3.1 shall apply. The outputs of the certified range can be preserved for minor changes that do not affect the certified outputs by more than -4%. The audit can be adapted or combined with a monitoring audit. Applications for maintenance No examinations or tests are necessary. The examination of the application is purely administrative. 3.4 Evaluation and decision EUROVENT CERTITA Certification assesses the report(s) intended for the applicant in accordance with the current procedures (transmission after evaluation or handing out of the report on site). The report(s) shall, when required, include a response request within a timeframe set in the report mailing. The applicant must present, for each deviation, the actions taken or to be taken, including the schedule to put them in place. EUROVENT CERTITA Certification analyses the suitability of the response and may request additional inspections to confirm that the corrective actions have been taken (complete or partial audit and/or tests). If necessary, EUROVENT CERTITA Certification may anonymously present all the evaluation results to the Special Committee (see part 5) for opinion. Depending on the results of all inspections, EUROVENT CERTITA Certification notifies one of the following decisions: - Certification - Deferral or refusal of the certification If certification has been approved, AFNOR Certification authorises the use of the NF mark, and EUROVENT CERTITA Certification sends the applicant, who is now a mark holder, the NF certificate and/or letter notifying the decision. The granting of the right to use the mark shall not substitute the legal responsibility of the certified company with that of EUROVENT CERTITA Certification. The methods of communication about certification are set out in part 2.5 of these certification rules. The applicant may object to the decision made by submitting a claim in accordance with the General Rules of the NF Mark.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 26 of 60 Part 4 MAINTAINING THE CERTIFICATION: the control procedures EUROVENT CERTITA Certification conducts a control of the certified products as soon as the right to use the NF mark is granted, according to the flow chart shown below. HOLDER PARTICIPANTS SPECIAL COMMITTEE Factory inspections: - audit - sampling Tests Corrective actions (if any) Evaluation of factory visit and test reports Presentation to the special Committee (where appropriate) Decision and notification During the entire certification, the holder shall: - comply with the requirements defined and the conditions of marking described in part 2, - keep the certification file up to date using the models enclosed in part 8, - systematically inform EUROVENT CERTITA Certification of changes of any characteristics of the certified product, and/or of its organisation likely to have any consequence on the certification.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 27 of 60 Moreover, EUROVENT CERTITA Certification reserves the right to proceed with any inspections (audits, tests, verifications, etc.) that it deems to be necessary further to: - A change to the certified product or the quality organisation of the production entities (production plant, production workshops, subcontractors' plants, etc.), - Complaints, claims, litigation, etc. regarding the use of the NF mark that came to its notice. 4.1 Monitoring procedures The monitoring of NF certified products includes examinations, analyses or tests on product ranges and audits of the design and/or manufacturing and/or marketing process It also includes supervision of the use of the mark and the logo on the products, packaging and all marketing media. The control procedures are based on the decisions made with reference to the previous controls. The following dispensations (if any). After obtaining the NF mark, annual inspections are made in the production unit and on the NF certified products. However, EUROVENT CERTITA Certification can, at the committee's initiative, reduce the frequency of the audits to once every two years, if the minimal requirements specific to the products defined in paragraph are satisfactory, and it the holder does not benefit from the "RADMAC" agreement Tests on the NF certified product All tests and examinations to determine compliance with standards and additional specifications, as required, are conducted in the following conditions: At least one product per product family admitted to the NF mark is inspected once a year. The test samples are defined by EUROVENT CERTITA Certification. The samples are taken on the manufacturer's premises or on the open market and are identified by EUROVENT CERTITA Certification s representative with a distinctive sign. The products are sent by, and under the responsibility of, the applicant to one of the laboratories designated in part 5, unless EUROVENT CERTITA Certification decides that they are to be sent to a laboratory of its own choosing. If necessary, and in particular if the production unit does not undergo a control audit, EUROVENT CERTITA Certification can ask the holder to build and ship (by a given date) the samples, under its own responsibility, to one of the laboratories designated in part 5, unless EUROVENT CERTITA Certification decides that they are to be sent to a laboratory of its own choosing. The conformity tests of the NF certified product are performed in accordance with the standards and, where appropriate, with the additional specifications defined in paragraph 2.2. The laboratory sends the test reports to EUROVENT CERTITA Certification.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 28 of 60 EUROVENT CERTITA Certification examines the test reports to check the conformity of the results with the certified values, within the permitted tolerances. The tolerance applying to the measurement of the thermal output is -4%. The other tolerances are specified in part 9 for the various products. EUROVENT CERTITA Certification sends the reports and the conclusions of the evaluation to the holder. After notification of the results, the holder can ask the laboratory to return its products. However, if the samples are found to be non-compliant, then the holder must first ask for EUROVENT CERTITA Certification's permission. If the holder does not ask for its products to be returned within three months of the issue of the test reports, the laboratory will destroy them. For holders that possess an authorised laboratory, as per the conditions described in part 6, the control tests can be performed in their own laboratory. However, one of the selected products must undergo comparative tests with one of the NF mark's laboratories of the holder's choosing. EUROVENT CERTITA Certification will inform the holder of the conditions of execution. The test reports drawn up by the holder shall be sent to EUROVENT CERTITA Certification no later than 15 days after the tests. Increased monitoring schedule If the checks produce non-compliant results on one product, then the checks are repeated on at least one other identical product, at the holder's cost. As a general rule, the product is tested in the laboratory that performed the initial tests. Nevertheless, EUROVENT CERTITA Certification reserves the right to designate another laboratory. EUROVENT CERTITA Certification's representative takes a sample of the product on the manufacturer's premises or on the open market, and identifies it with a distinctive sign. The representative completes a sampling form and asks the manufacturer to send, under its own responsibility, the sample to the laboratory. If necessary, and in particular if no products are available in the stock or difficulties are encountered in obtaining a sample of the product, EUROVENT CERTITA Certification can ask the holder to build the samples (before a given date) and to send them to the laboratory. The tests and the evaluation of the results are performed under the conditions specified in the preceding paragraph. Notification of the evaluation of the results Two situations are possible: - the results comply with the certified products: EUROVENT CERTITA Certification informs the holder and the certified characteristics are not corrected. - the results show another instance of non-conformity with the certified products: EUROVENT CERTITA Certification informs the holder and suspends the range, pending corrective action by the holder. The holder proceeds with further tests, as specified in paragraph 3.1-commitment. If an instance of non-compliant acoustic power or absorbed power is detected (see additional requirements in part 9), the difference between the mean of the measured values and the mean of the certified values is deducted from all the certified values.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 29 of 60 After notification of the results, the holder can ask the laboratory to return its products. However, if the samples are found to be non-compliant, then the holder must first ask for EUROVENT CERTITA Certification's permission. If the holder does not ask for its products to be returned within three months of the issue of the test reports, the laboratory will destroy them Audit of the design and/or manufacturing and/or marking process The audit will last least one day. This audit is conducted in accordance with the conditions specified in EUROVENT CERTITA Certification draws up an audit report and sends it to the holder. This report may, as appropriate, be sent to the holder before or after the evaluation. Under the terms of the "RADMAC" agreement, it may be sent by the auditor or the certification body in charge of the audit. 4.2 Evaluation and decision The evaluation procedures are the same as for admissions, as described in part 3 ( 3.4). Depending on the results of all the checks, EUROVENT CERTITA Certification can decide: a) to maintain the certification, with observations or a request for corrective actions, where appropriate. b) to maintain the certification, with a warning and with or without more inspections, c) to suspend the certification. Suspensions last for maximum of one year. After this, withdrawal of certification is pronounced. d) to withdraw the certification. If a decision to uphold certification has been made, AFNOR Certification upholds the right to use the NF mark. If a decision to suspend or withdraw certification has been made, AFNOR Certification suspends or withdraws the right to use the NF mark. For sanctions b), c) and d), the fees for additional verifications are charged to the licensee, regardless of their results. The decisions are enforceable as from the date of notification. EUROVENT CERTITA Certification sends written notice of the decision to the holder. The sanction shall come into effect on the date of receipt of its notification.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 30 of 60 The charges of additional verification caused by the sanctions shall be borne by the holder. Holders are responsible for the right to use the NF mark relative to the product concerned and agree to implement the actions arising from the suspension or withdrawal of the right of use, made in accordance with these certification rules. All suspensions and withdrawal of the right to use the NF mark lead to the interdiction to use the mark and reference to it for all new production. For products manufactured prior to the suspension or withdrawal of the right of use, the certifier may implement special measures on a case by case basis (for example: authorisation to sell off remaining stocks, sell products in stock at a discount, product recall, etc.). The holder may object to the decision made by submitting a claim in accordance with the General Rules of the NF Mark. 4.3 Modifications statement Any modification to the initial conditions of obtaining the NF mark shall be reported in writing by the holder. If EUROVENT CERTITA Certification observes that this obligation has not been honoured, the right to use the NF mark may be suspended or withdrawn. For other cases that are not covered by parts to 4.3.6, EUROVENT CERTITA Certification determines whether the modifications could cast doubt over the certification and whether an additional inspection is necessary. Depending on the examination results, EUROVENT CERTITA Certification s legal representative takes the appropriate decision Modification concerning the holder The holder shall report in writing to EUROVENT CERTITA Certification any legal modification of the company or any change in the company s name. In case of merger, bankruptcy or take over of the holder, the right to use the NF mark for all products from which the holder may benefit, cease automatically. A new application may be submitted and its examination reduced depending on the modifications Modification concerning the production entities Any transfer (total or partial) of the manufacturing unit(s) of an NF certified product to a different production site brings about an immediate cessation of NF marking by the holder on the transferred products in any form whatsoever.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 31 of 60 The holder shall declare this transfer in writing to EUROVENT CERTITA Certification which will organise an audit of the new production site and, as the case may be, have tests carried out. The certification assessment and renewal decision procedures are identical the those for admission described in Part Modification concerning the quality organisation of the design and/or manufacturing and/or marketing process The holder must declare in writing to EUROVENT CERTITA Certification any change regarding its quality organisation likely to have an impact on the compliance of the design and/or manufacturing and/or marketing with regard to the requirements of these certification rules (changes to the systems, quality plans, mandated bodies, etc.). On the other hand, any temporary cease in the internal quality assurance operation for an NF certified product entails an immediate halt in the NF marking of it by the holder. The holder shall inform EUROVENT CERTITA Certification. The certification assessment and renewal decision procedures are identical to those for admission described in Part 3. Where appropriate, if a third party is tasked with distribution, the holder agrees to immediately inform EUROVENT CERTITA Certification of any changes to the distribution of its products, and in particular any stoppage of procurement by the designated third party Modification concerning the NF certified product EUROVENT CERTITA Certification must be informed by written statement of any modification of the NF certified product with respect to the application, the accepted model or conformity of the product with the requirements of these certification rules or any change of trademark. According to the modification declared, EUROVENT CERTITA Certification determines whether it is a certification extension application, a subsequent or a maintenance application Temporary or definitive cessation of production Any definitive or temporary (more than 6 months) cessation of production of an NF certified product range or any abandonment of the right to use the NF mark shall be declared in writing to EUROVENT CERTITA Certification, specifying the period of time required to deplete the inventory of NF marked products. The production unit must be audited before putting an end to the temporary suspension. The certification assessment and renewal decision procedures are identical the those for admission described in Part 3.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 32 of 60 EUROVENT CERTITA Certification gives notice of the suspension or withdrawal of the right to use the NF mark by registered letter with return receipt Modification concerning the applicable standards and specifications If a standard is withdrawn for safety reasons, EUROVENT CERTITA Certification gives notice of the withdrawal of the right to use the NF mark, demanding that the manufacturer puts an immediate halt to the manufacture of products with the NF mark and recalls NF marked products from its distribution channels.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 37 of 60 Part 6 USE OF THE APPLICANT'S/HOLDER'S LABORATORIES FOREWORD This part describes the procedure according to which an applicant/holder may be authorised to conduct, in their own laboratories, all or part of the tests required for examining an application for its own products. If the tests are performed partially, then the remaining tests are to be performed in a mark laboratory. When this authorisation is granted, the holder obtains an "NF authorisation" and the laboratory or laboratories in question are said to be "NF authorised". The NF authorisation of a laboratory applies only to this NF mark, and any mention of this authorisation is prohibited APPLICANT/HOLDER LABORATORIES THAT ARE NOT ACCREDITED General The conditions for authorising an applicant's/holder's laboratory and to consider its test results are set forth in the general rules stated below in and, where appropriate, in special rules that complement these general rules and stipulate the application procedures for each category of product subject to a specific standard. The standard applied is these certification rules for the certification procedures and standard NF EN ISO/IEC for the test procedures General rules Authorisation application The applicant/holder sends the application for authorisation to EUROVENT CERTITA Certification. The application must include: - the types of products for which NF authorisation is requested; - the standards covered by this application; - the complete description of equipment and instrumentation at the laboratory's disposal to perform these tests; - The description of the laboratory's quality management system (quality manual, quality plan); - the applicant's commitment to respect the relevant provisions of the application certification rules, including appendices.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 38 of Examination of the NF authorisation application EUROVENT CERTITA Certification designates a group of auditors tasked with checking the quality assurance measures and the equipment of the laboratory, and the use to test systems. This group is made up of a laboratory auditor for the quality assurance aspects and at least one representative of an independent laboratory, who acts as the expert for the tests aspects. During the laboratory audit, the experts: a) collect the drawings and diagrams of the premises, installations and equipment, gather information for which the standards or rules governing special procedures require compliance, monitoring or inspection; b) check that the laboratory has the necessary and sufficient equipment to performance the tests (the standards or rules defining specific procedures for each type of product, the nomenclature and the precise specifications); c) check that the precision of the measuring products meets the standards or obeys the rules of the special procedures and that the precautions required to maintain the quality of the measurements are taken; d) check that the test equipment is in good working order and is regularly calibrated and rated; e) note the name and title of the test official and the branch or department to which he/she belongs within the company; f) check that the quality management system is suited to the certification operations and that it is actually applied. Prior to any NF authorisation, a comparative test is conducted according to the standards applicable to the product and/or the additional specifications defined in paragraph 2.2, between the applicant's/holder's laboratory and one of the mark's laboratories, on the so-called secondary set of three standard radiators belonging to the laboratory applying for authorisation. EUROVENT CERTITA Certification compiles a report containing: - a report of their audit; - a summary of observations and/or any instances of non-conformity on each point a), b), c), d), e) and f) above; - a list of material and equipment assigned by the applicant/holder for admission testing and which meet the specifications of the rules of special procedures or the standards; - any observations or comments that they deem appropriate. The mark's laboratory, selected by the applicant for the comparative test, compiles a report containing: - the result of the comparative test stipulated above. This results must demonstrate that the laboratory meets the requirements specified in the standards applicable to the product and/or the additional specifications defined in paragraph 2.2 and that the laboratory is capable of contributing to the NF certification procedure; - any observations or comments that they deem appropriate; - The report is sent to EUROVENT CERTITA Certification, which validates it, after having examined the responses of the audited party.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 39 of 60 The costs of all aforementioned operations shall be borne by the applicant NF authorisation agreement After verification that the application is complete from the administrative, technical and financial point of view, EUROVENT CERTITA Certification approves or rejects NF authorisation specifying the reasons, or delays the decision by recommending an additional investigation. The Special Committee is informed of the authorisations granted by EUROVENT CERTITA Certification NF authorisation validity period The NF authorisation NF is valid for three years from the date when the audit is completed. During this period, the NF authorised laboratory proceeds with annual inspections in accordance with the standards applicable to the product and/or the additional specifications defined in paragraph 2.2, on its secondary set of standard products, with one of the mark's laboratories Laboratory NF authorisation renewal The renewal of NF authorisation is made following a new application and a complete new examination (see ). This procedure is reduced if the laboratory's organisation has not changed and if the systematic examination of the products allowed during this period have not revealed any discrepancy in the results. In this case, these inspections act as comparative tests Post-NF authorisation checks The NF authorised laboratory regularly informs EUROVENT CERTITA Certification of the results of the tests conducted on its secondary set of radiators with one of the NF mark's laboratories, and of any changes to its quality management system that could impact the results of the tests on the products. This information, together with the results of the verifications made pursuant to these certification rules ( systematic and other verifications) are examined by EUROVENT CERTITA Certification which, after evaluation, recommends maintaining, suspending or withdrawing the NF authorisation for all or part of the tests. Any total or partial suspension or withdrawal of accreditation by COFRAC or any equivalent institution recognised by the E.A will lead to a new evaluation of the Laboratory status regarding the NF mark.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 40 of APPLICANT/HOLDER LABORATORIES THAT ARE ACCREDITED NF authorisation application Any applicant/holder with a laboratory approved by COFRAC or any equivalent institution recognised by the E.A (European Cooperation for Accreditation), may request, on the basis of this accreditation, that tests performed in this laboratory and covered by this accreditation, for its products, be considered by EUROVENT CERTITA Certification. The NF authorisation application must be sent to EUROVENT CERTITA Certification, with the following attachments: - a copy of the accreditation decision taken by COFRAC, or an equivalent body recognised by the E.A., specifying the scope thereof (the types of tests); - the report(s) compiled by COFRAC, or an equivalent body recognised by the E.A, as part of the procedure for accreditation by COFRAC, or an equivalent body recognised by the E.A., plus any subsequent reports on verifications made by COFRAC, or an equivalent body recognised by the E.A.; - the commitment to comply with the relevant provisions of the certification rules and its appendices; and, by indicating for which tests the NF authorisation is required, out of those subject to the accreditation by COFRAC, or an equivalent body recognised by the E.A. The costs of all aforementioned operations shall be borne by the applicant NF authorisation agreement EUROVENT CERTITA Certification studies the application and checks that it is complete. If it is not complete, EUROVENT CERTITA Certification asks for more information. EUROVENT CERTITA Certification approves or rejects the NF authorisation specifying the reasons, or delays the decision by recommending an additional investigation. The Special Committee is informed of the authorisations granted NF authorisation validity period The NF authorisation NF is valid for three years from the date when the audit is completed. During this period, the NF authorised laboratory proceeds with annual inspections in accordance with the standards applicable to the product and/or the additional specifications defined in paragraph 2.2, on its secondary set of standard products.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 41 of Laboratory NF authorisation renewal If the applicant/holder has applied for accreditation by COFRAC, or an equivalent body recognised by the E.A., for its laboratory, then it informs EUROVENT CERTITA Certification of the state of progress of this procedure on the date when it applies for the renewal. a) if the procedure for accreditation by COFRAC, or an equivalent body recognised by the E.A., is not complete, the NF authorisation is renewed after a new application and a new examination, in accordance with paragraph ; b) if the procedure for accreditation by COFRAC, or an equivalent body recognised by the E.A., is complete, there are two possible cases, separately or simultaneously: b1) the laboratory has an accreditation by COFRAC, or any equivalent body recognised by the E.A, for all or part of the tests subject to the expired NF authorisation. In this case, the applicant/holder may ask for renewal of its NF authorisation for said tests according to the procedure described in article 2, for the set time frame in this procedure. b2) the accreditation from COFRAC, or any equivalent body recognised by the E.A, has been withdrawn for all or part of the tests subject to the expired NF authorisation. In this case, the applicant/holder may nevertheless ask for renewal of its NF authorisation for said tests according to the procedure described in 6.1. EUROVENT CERTITA Certification takes a decision on the application for renewal in light of the investigation made by COFRAC, or an equivalent body recognised by the E.A., and of the reasons for the refusal of the accreditation by COFRAC, or an equivalent body recognised by the E.A.. It defines any conditions applying to the renewal by indicating the necessary verifications Post-NF authorisation checks The NF authorised laboratory regularly informs EUROVENT CERTITA Certification of the verifications made by COFRAC, or an equivalent body recognised by the E.A., and of the decisions taken by the latter further to these verifications.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 2 of 26 9A-1. SCOPE This appendix of the NF-047 Rules specifies the specific requirements applying to the radiators and convectors fed with hot water covered by the standard NF EN 442 for their heating function. This rules does not apply any thermal output limits for the certification of products. The power of products that is below or above the limits defined in the standard NF EN 442 for the execution of tests is determined by calculation. The certified characteristics are: The thermal power. The maximum operating pressure. 9A-2. REFERENCE DOCUMENTS The following standards are applicable to the products: NF EN 442-1/A1: 2003, Radiators and convectors Part 1: technical specifications and requirements. NF EN 442-2/A1 (2000) and A2 (2003), Radiators and convectors Part 2: test methods and rating. NF EN 442-3: 2004, Radiators and convectors - Part 3: evaluation of conformity. 9A-3. DEFINITIONS The definition of the products and procedures can be found in the standard NF EN 442 (parts 1 and 2). 9A-4. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISATION METHODS 9A-4.1 Determination of the output of the appliances The number of products is selected and the output is determined according to the test methods defined in the standard NF EN The thermal output of panel radiators is determined with the appliances fitted at least with their grill and side plates, if this version is contained in the applicant's / holder's catalogue. If he so wishes, the applicant/holder can ask the laboratory to test a number of appliances that is higher than the number specified in the standard NF EN For horizontal water flow radiators, for which the proportionality versus the length is not necessarily verified, the applicant/holder can ask for several lengths of the selected model to be tested. If, in certain special cases, the selection method described in the standard NF EN 442 or in the test procedure cannot define them, then EUROVENT CERTITA Certification is free to choose the models, possibly together with one of the mark's laboratories.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 3 of 26 9A-4.2 Mechanical resistance and deformation of the appliances Plate radiators made of flat tubes must be tested at a pressure 1.3 times the maximum operating pressure declared by the applicant in its application for the right to use the NF mark, in order to measure their permanent deformation. The test pressure must not be lower than 5.2 bar. The conformity of the products is confirmed if the ratio between the initial and final measurements (after pressurisation) is lower than 10%. Selecting the products for the initial tests (applications for the right to use the NF mark): The appliances used to determine the thermal output shall be tested. Selecting the products for the control tests: The appliance must be at least 500 mm long, and it is preferable to select a product that is close to 1 meter in length. Test method The measurements are taken as follows: 1- Initial measurement: The thickness is measured at six points on the product as follows:. For panel radiators: On multi-panel radiators, the measurement is made on a single panel. The measurements are made half-way up the collectors: three at the top and three at the base. For each collector, the first two measurements are made one third of the way along the length of the radiator at each extremity and third is made half-way along the length. If obstacles, such as convention fins or reinforcing spacers, prevent the measurements from being made, then the point of measurement can be moved slightly to the left or the right.. For flat tube radiators: Measurements on radiators with multiple rows of tubes are made on a single row. The measurements are made in the middle of the width of the first tube of the radiator: three on one side, and three on the other side. For each tube, the first two measurements are made one third of the way along the length (or half-way up the height, depending on the orientation of the tubes) of the radiator at each extremity and third is made half-way along the length. If obstacles, such as convention fins or reinforcing spacers, prevent the measurements from being made, then the point of measurement can be moved slightly to the left or the right.. For lamellar radiators: The measurement is made on one side of the radiator. The measurements are made in the middle of the depth of the first plate of the radiator: three on one side, and three on the other side. For each plate, the first two measurements are made one third of the way up the height of the radiator at each extremity and third is made half-way up the height.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 4 of Application of the test pressure using the selected process: - Water test: The test is performed using a test pump or a suitable hydraulic test circuit. After having filled and drained the radiator, gradually and smoothly apply and maintain the test pressure for 10 minutes. - Air test: The test apparatus comprises: - a tank filled with water and its accessories. - a pneumatic circuit capable of delivering the required pressure. Gradually and smoothly apply the air pressure to the radiator submerged in water for 2 minutes. 3- Final measurement: After having relieved the pressure inside the appliance, repeat the measurements at the same points as the initial measurements. 9A-5. The number of products to be tested is determined according to the criteria defined in the test protocol described in paragraph 9C-6. The output of panel radiators is determined with the appliances fitted at least with their grill and side plates, if this version exists in the applicant's / holder's catalogue. For "ON / OFF" all-or-nothing fans, the measurement is made at the fan's nominal speed. For fans with variable or adjustable speeds, the measurement is made at the fan's minimum and maximum speeds, and at the intermediate speed (where appropriate), as indicated by the applicant in the application for the right to use the NF mark. Conditions for the determination of the outputs: - the thermal output is measured at T 50K and calculated at T 30K, even if a range of appliances is not designed for use at T 50K. These two outputs are certified.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 6 of 19 9C-4.3. Mechanical resistance tests and deformation measurements: For panel and plate radiators and radiators made of flat tubes, each selected sample is tested to measure the output in accordance with paragraph 9A-4.2 of part 10 appendix A. Conformity is confirmed if the appliance does not leak and is deformed by less than 10% after the test. 9C-4.4. Absorbed electric power: There are three types of variation of ventilation speeds: - all-or-nothing, "On / Off", - speed variation by the supply voltage, - several pre-set speeds selected using a switch. The certified powers are determined at the minimum, intermediate and maximum speeds. The measurements are given with two figures after the decimal point, applying the following rounding rules: - between 0.01 and 0.04, rounded down to the next hundredth, - between 0.05 and 0.09, rounded up to the next hundredth. Evaluation of the conformity of the declared values: Conformity is confirmed if the measured value is not 5% greater than the value included in the applicant's application for the right to use the NF mark. There are two possible cases of non-conformity: - Only one declared value is observed and does not comply with the measured value. This value is corrected and the measured value is retained. - Several declared values do not comply with the measured values. The correction is made as follows: The declared values found to be non-compliant with the measured values are corrected, and the measured values are retained. The declared values that do not correspond to the tested appliances are corrected by increasing them by the mean of the differences between the valued measurements and the non-compliant declared values. Example of min and max outputs: Before correction Model N 1 N 2 N 3 N 4 Output min max min max min max min max Declared output Measured output Difference (%) Mean difference = ( )/3 = 6.17%

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 7 of 19 After correction Model N 1 N 2 N 3 N 4 Output min max min max min max min max Declared output Corrected output Example: 2.1 x 6.17%=2.24 W 9C-4.5. Standby power: The standby power is measured when the appliance is switched on and the fan(s) at a standstill. Conformity is confirmed if the measured value is not 5% greater than the value included in the applicant's application for the right to use the NF mark. If the value is declared to be non-compliant with the measured value, it is returned to the measured value by correcting the applicable tolerance (defined previously). 9C-4.6. Electrical safety: To obtain the right to use the NF mark, appliances fitted with fans must meet the requirements of the standard NF EN C-4.7. Sound power Three situations are possible: - all-or-nothing, "On / Off" fan: The certified value is the value declared by the applicant when the fan is in nominal operation. - Variable speed fan: The certified values are the values declared by the applicant when the fan is operating at minimum, intermediate and maximum speed. - Multiple speed fan (adjustable): The certified values are the values declared by the applicant at each speed. Sound power must be determined according to one of the standards mentioned in paragraph 9C-2. Measurements must be made at least according to class 2. The measured values are included in the test report of the individual units. The following rounding rule is applied: between 0.1 and 0.4, round down to the next unit. Between 0.5 and 0.9, round up to the next unit. The appliances from the range used to determine the thermal outputs will be tested. Configuration: For radiators / convectors, the appliance to be tested must be installed according to the test protocol described in paragraph 9C-6.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 8 of 19 When taking measurements in the open air, as per the standard NF EN ISO 3744 or NF EN ISO 3745, a supporting wall with the following characteristics must be installed: the density must be > 15 kg/m 2 (e.g., bonded sandwich type plasterboard), 2.50 m high, 4.60 m long (corresponding to one half of the wavelength at the lowest frequency to be measured). The acoustic test shall be conducted at temperatures of between 15 C and 25 C, without connecting the appliance, with no water inside the appliance and with a dry coil surface. Evaluation of the conformity of the declared values: Conformity is confirmed if the measured value is not 2 db(a) greater than the value included in the applicant's application for the right to use the NF mark. Example: Before correction Model N 1 N 2 N 3 N 4 Output min max min max min max min max Declared output Measured output Difference Mean difference = (3+3+4)/3 = 3.3, or a correction value returned to the unit of 3. After correction Model N 1 N 2 N 3 N 4 Output min max min max min max min max Declared output Corrected output C-5. QUALITY CONTROL SPECIFICATIONS The quality control provisions stated in part 2 of these rules apply to these products. The manufacturer shall also implement:

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 9 of 19 Acceptance checks: The output of fans must be checked according to the manufacturer's sampling plan, in addition to the documentary check. Inspections on the finished product: Earth continuity and dielectric rigidity tests must be performed on every finished product according to the standard NF EN C-6. SPECIFIC TEST METHODS A draft standard is currently being prepared to define the test methods for fan-assisted radiators and convectors and to assess thermal output in heating mode. However, since this draft has not reached the formal approval stage, the following test methods shall apply in order to obtain the right to use the NF mark. 9C-6.1. Test method - measurement of output in heating mode Wall-mounted radiators and convectors must be installed according to the standard NF EN The rear of the radiator/convector must be 0,50m from the test cell wall and the base of the radiator/convector must be 0,11m from the floor, unless the manufacturer proposes other values. The tests shall be performed for each range for various heights, such that the ratio between the heights of all the tested models is less than 2, over the length closest to 1 m. Characteristic equations are defined for each range (L = 1 m for each thickness) The output of models with a length different from 1 m are calculated in a linear manner on the basis of the output at 1 m. The radiator/convector is installed in the test cell according to the manufacturer's instructions and using the accessories (provided by the manufacturer) for attachment, leaving the required spaces free, the protective grill, etc. The test request shall be supplemented by diagrams giving the dimensions of the radiator/convector. 9C Test procedure 9C Scope The nominal (standard) thermal output is determined according to the standard NF EN C Determining the thermal output (static mode) 9C General The test procedure, the determination of the thermal output and the requirements applying to the measuring instruments are specified in the standard NF EN

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 10 of 19 The characteristic equation is as follows: Φ = Km ( T) n Where: Φ = thermal output Km = constant of the characteristic equation of the model T = difference in temperature above the ambient temperature (20 C) n = exponent of the characteristic equation Km and n are determined on the basis of three test points at constant mass water flow rate and the following differences in temperature. T = (60 ± 2.5) K T = (50 ± 2.5) K T = (30 ± 2.5) K The nominal thermal output is calculated at T = 50 K which corresponds to: Radiator inlet temperature t1 = 75 C; Radiator outlet temperature t2 = 65 C; Reference temperature of the air tr = 20 C. The thermal output (at low temperature) is calculated at T = 30 K on the basis of the characteristic curve and without any additional tests: (Φ30= Φ50(30/50) n. 9C Influence of the water flow rate on the characteristic curve If the thermal output depends in the water flow rate, then it is determined by performing the above test, in addition to with the water flow rate at 50% and 200% of the nominal flow rate. 9C Fan-assisted radiators and convectors If the fan(s) does not cover the entire radiator / convector, then the performance of the latter equals the sum total of the performance of the basic units, plus the performance of the extension units. The basic unit is defined as the smallest section combining a radiator/convector and a fan that can be used several times in a regular manner. It must be specified by the manufacturer. If the total length of the basic units is less than the total length of the radiator/convector, then the nominal (standard) thermal output of the remaining length (difference) must be determined with the fan at a standstill. This corresponds to the output of the non-ventilated part. If the fan covers different lengths of a radiator/convector (e.g.,: one fan at the end of a radiator/convector), then at least three lengths (small, medium, large) must be tested to obtain a characteristic equation (linear).

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 11 of 19 The dynamic tests depend on the operation of the fan. For on-off fans, they are performed at the nominal speed of the fan, and at the minimum and maximum speeds defined by the manufacturer for variable-speed fans (continuous or in steps). Case 1: fixed speed (on or off) The characteristic curve is based on three test points as per paragraph above and under the following operating conditions of the fan. 1. At a standstill (already completed. See static tests above) 2. In operation (nominal speed) Case 2: variable speed (continuous or in steps) The characteristic curve is based on three test points as per paragraph above at an intermediate speed of the fan declare by the applicant. At the fan's minimum and maximum speeds, the output is determined at a temperature difference of ( T = (50 ± 2.5) K). It is assumed that the exponents of the characteristic equations at the minimum and maximum speeds are the same as the exponent obtained for the characteristic equation at the medium speed. The characteristic curve of the average speed of the fan obtained on the basis of these three test points is determined as follows: Φ = f (Rfan) at T = 50 K Φ = K (Rfan) m Where: K = constant of the characteristics equation. Rfan = speed of rotation of the fan or any other parameter relating to the speed (e.g.,: absorbed power, frequency, voltage, etc. ). m = exponent of the characteristic equation. The nominal (standard) output is determined at the average speed of the fan and the difference in temperature above the ambient temperature T = 50 K. The following requirements apply to all the test points used to determine the characteristic curve: - Reference temperature of the air: tr = 20 C ± 0.5 K, - Water flow rate: ±5%, - Precision of measurement of the speed of the fan: ±1%, or o Voltage: ±2% o Frequency: ±1% o Absorbed power: ±2% - The difference between the speed measured for each point and the average of the three speeds must not exceed 5%.

Certification Rules NF 047 Page 12 of 19 - the difference between the speed measured for each point and the average measured value must not exceed 2%. Note 1: the nominal water flow rate corresponds to an average temperature that is 50K above the ambient temperature and a difference in water temperature of 10K between the inlet and the outlet of the radiator that must be kept constant to within ±5% for all the test points. Note 2: the electric output of the fan(s) measured at the terminals of the appliance must be precise to within ±5%. 9C-7. User manual supplied with the appliance: The following text shall appear on the manual: When using the "electric function" of the mixed radiator, only close the inlet tap and NEVER CLOSE THE RETURN in order to allow the fluid to expand towards the system. CAUTION: closing the return can result in the destruction of the heating unit due to overpressure higher than the operating pressure. If the central heating system is fitted with a pump that is independent of the boiler, then it must be stopped. Otherwise there is a danger that the heating unit will be siphoned if the joins are not perfectly tight.
