1.3. Safety instructions Avoid looking directly at the LEDs operating During the tests, wear a helmet for the hearing protection or hold you within a reasonable distance of the sirens. Use only the batteries indicated in the table of features. There is a danger of explosion if the batteries are replaced by batteries of wrong type. Do not recharge, short circuit, incinerate, expose to over 100 C, immerse or deform the sirens batteries. One of these actions may cause damage, fire or explosion. Store them in a dry place with a constant temperature. Scrap the used batteries according to instructions. Take the necessary precautions to avoid any risk of electrostatic discharge during the maintenance or installation of the elements

2. TIPS OF INSTALLATION We strongly recommend the following steps to install your radio system Altec to optimize its operation Elements positioning To ensure the best radio performance, it is essential to respect the mounting direction of the components system. It is imperative to get the connecting wires of the PILOTE RF to the bottom of the housing so that they do not go above or below the PCB. REQUESTED MOUNTING DIRECTION SIRYNX RF SIRUS RF PILOTE RF TOP TOP TOP CAUTION MANDATORY Get the wires to the bottom of the housing PROHIBITED MOUNTING DIRECTION 2.2. Elements location The PILOTE RF and the SIRYNX RF are only for an indoor dry use. The SIRUS RF is intended for an outdoor use. It is imperative to examine the places and carry out tests before and after installation. Avoid placing the elements near sources generating electrical disturbances but also heat, cold and humidity

Do not install the elements in a metal cabinet to avoid the degradation of the radio performance. Remove the elements more than 1m of any metal object, cable tray, electrical cabinets. Place ideally the elements over 1.5m above the ground. To ensure the best possible radio link, the PILOTE RF must be located as centrally as possible to the site. Do not install the PILOTE RF underground. Once the location is chosen, and before fixing the PILOTE RF on the wall, it is important to verify that a sufficient space (at least 10 cm) has been respected around the housing. The housings are fixed to vertical and flat walls with a surface above at the surface of the elements, using screws with a diameter of 4 to 5 mm and 35 to 40 mm in length (not supplied) Safety instructions WARNING : take the necessary precautions to avoid any risk of electrostatic discharge during the installation or maintenance of the installation s elements. Any change of the interior configuration or of the laying out could be an influence to propagate the waves. It is advisable to thoroughly check the operation of the system after any modification. Before any final fixation, it is imperative to test the temporary link with all the elements in the place which is normally defined for them, to ensure the good quality of the radio link. It is strongly recommended to substitute the sirens batteries every 3 years to ensure the proper functioning of the system

2.4. Elements fixing SIRYNX RF The SIRYNX RF is only for an indoor use. It is fixed to a vertical and flat wall with a surface larger than its housing, leaving at least 2cm on each side. The tamper at the grabbing is ensured by a screw of 60-70mm of length and 4-5mm of diameter (not supplied) that must be positioned as shown in the picture. It must be screwed into the wall until its head comes into contact with the electronic circuit without forcing SIRUS RF The SIRUS RF is for an outdoor use. It is fixed to a vertical and flat wall with a surface larger than its housing, leaving at least 2cm on each side. Drill the fixing holes. 1- First, fix the plastic piece similar to a cap on the wall. 2- Put the back plate of the SIRUS RF taking care to place the sensor monitoring the removal inside the plastic cap. None adjustment is required for this system. 3- IMPERATIVE: test and check the proper functioning of the audible alarm, visual and of the tamper protection after the installation. 1 - WALL 2- TAMPER PROTECTION CAP 3- TAMPER PROTECTION SENSOR 4- SCREW 5- INSERT

PILOTE RF The PILOTE RF is for a dry indoor use. It is fixed to a vertical and flat wall with a surface larger than its housing, leaving at least 2cm on each side. Drill the fixing holes (1) (2) and use 4 screws. The use of the central screw (2) in the housing allows the operation of the tamper protection at the removal. In case of removal, the flexible leg of the back plate stays against the wall and takes away the tampers contact of the cover s sliver to trigger the contact of the tamper protection. NOTE : The passage of the wires should always be done by the lower of the housing so that the wires do not go below or above the PCB for not degrade the radio performance

3. REPLACEMENT OF BATTERIES 3.1. Batteries of the PILOTE RF WARNING : To maximize the security of the installation, the use of 4 backup batteries AAA type Ni-Mh (not supplied) is required to ensure the proper functioning of the PILOTE RF and of the wireless sirens, even in case of loss of the power from the panel. Any attempt of sabotage by cutting the cables of the PILOTE RF causes the immediate activation of the sirens if the batteries are present. The PILOTE RF can operate without batteries. In this case, the sirens will react only after the time set to indicate the failure of the supervision (90 seconds by default). - + Insert the batteries below the electronic card in accordance with the direction indicated on the bottom of the back plate of the PILOTE RF. The batteries can be replaced during their operation Replacement of the sirens batteries The sirens batteries have to be replaced every 3 years to ensure the autonomy of the system. It is imperative to use the following batteries reference: PILE_LITH_01 Altec X2. It is imperative to use two batteries to ensure the autonomy of 3 years of the system. To replace the batteries, follow this procedure: 1- Enter in programming mode on the control panel and on the PILOTE RF. 2- Remove the cover by unscrewing the central screw of the siren with a flat screwdriver. 3- Disconnect the two batteries of the sirens electronic card. 4- Spread the two hooks on the battery holder. 5- Remove the battery holder of its location. 6- Remove the used batteries of the holder and replace them with new batteries. 7- Put the battery holder. 8- Connect the two batteries to the electronic card on the connectors marked BAT. 9- Close the cover of the siren and leave the programming mode of the PILOTE RF and then on the control panel

4. CONNECTION AND WIRING OF THE PILOTE RF 4.1. Description of the connection terminal In terms of the standard EN 60950, the voltage on the connection terminals are SELV (Safety Extra-Low Voltage). DC Charge OUTPUTS INPUTS A.P. TAMPER V 0V The power 12V continues to be supplied by an uninterruptible power supply with limited power. Transistor output n 1 to indicate a failure of the supervision of a siren. Factory setting : - Disappearance of 0V in case of supervision failure Transistor output n 2 to indicate a failure of sirens low battery Factory setting : - Disappearance of 0V in case of sirens batteries failure Transistor output n.º 3 to indicate a failure of PILOTE RF batteries Factory setting : - Disappearance of 0V in case of PILOTE RF batteries failure Input of command configurable Factory setting : - Signalling Arm / Disarm - Positive polarity - Audible and light signalling for the starting at the disappearance for the blocking signal (12V) Input of sirens blocking configurable Factory setting : - Triggering of all the sirens - Positive polarity - Triggering at the disappearance of the blocking signal (12V) The tamper protection of the system includes the opening or the removal of the PILOTE RF and of the associated sirens

4.2. Connection to the power supply «DC charge» The power of the PILOTE RF must be supplied by a 12VDC uninterruptible power limited in direct current. The PILOTE RF is protected against the polarity inversion. If the device which commands the inputs of the PILOTE RF has a different power supply of this one, it is imperative to link the 0V of the different power supplies together Connection of the «OUTPUTS 1 2 3» The PILOTE RF has three outputs with low power switching. Switching means: a 0V appears on the output when it is activated. The outputs polarity can be adjusted in appear (APP 0V) or disappear (DISAP 0V) Ex: In APP 0V (appear with 0V), in case of supervision failure, the output OUT1 switch a 0V (factory setting). The switching power of these outputs is limited to 50mA, enough to drive a relay, a LED, or an input of the control panel. Use imperatively a diode damper type 1N400X if the relay does not provide one internally Connection of the «INPUTS» The PILOTE RF has two trigger commands: BLSIR and CMD. These 2 inputs react in appear or disappear of their command signal: a loop connected to 0V (negative polarity) or a positive voltage of 2 to 15V (positive polarity). By default, the inputs of the PILOTE RF are programmed to be driven by a loop connected to 12V (positive polarity). The PILOTE RF can also react with the disappearance of a loop connected to 0V (negative polarity). Each input can be programmed independently in polarity positive or negative, and in appear or disappear. In case of using a normally open loop, it is necessary to set them in appear of signal ( 5.4.1). The two inputs are configurable and allow different operation mode of the PILOTE RF and of the sirens ( 5.4.2). By default, the input BL SIR is set in positive polarity and in disappear and allows the triggering of all the sirens (internal and external). By default, the input CMD is set in positive polarity and in disappear and allows the signalling Arm / Disarm of the system with the audible and/or light signalling of the sirens (open loop = ARM, closed loop = DISARM). By default, the audible signalling for the Arm / Disarm is deactivated for the SIRYNX RF and SIRUS RF. To activate the audible signalling, it is necessary to put the dipswitch 2 on position ON on the sirens ( & 1.2.3)

Contact Polarity Rest Alarm NF * Factory Factory Positive setting setting Alarm by disappear * Normally closed Negative NO * Positive Alarm by appear * Normally oppened Negative 4.5. Connection of the tamper protection The auto-protection of the system is supplied by a relay normally closed with a breaking power of 12V / 2A. The output of the auto-protection AP TAMPER must be wired in series with the autoprotection loop of the control panel

4.6. Failures signalling An orange LED located above the display notifies the user of any malfunctions of the PILOTE RF. Ex: triggering of the sirens, low battery, failure of the tamper protection. The registration of this failures information in the display allows identifying and solving problems. In case of power cut, the PILOTE RF batteries will take over. The display will turn off and the LED will stop flashing, whatever the failure, to preserve the autonomy of the PILOTE RF. The information «MEM» indicates that the failure has disappeared and that the information is stored in the PILOTE RF. The information «FAIL» indicates that the failure is still present. Upon exiting the programming mode, the PILOTE RF displays the failures in progress. Examples of failures messages: Display PILOTE RF SIR N 01 MISSING Explanation The siren N 01 is not visible by the PILOTE RF. SIR N 01 SVS MEM SIR N 01 TAMPER The siren N 01 caused a lack of supervision but works again. MEM indicates that the PILOTE RF has memorized a supervision failure. Failure of the tamper protection in progress with the siren N 01. SIR N 01 TAMP MEM PILOTE BAT MISS The tamper protection of the siren N 01 has been detected, but returned to normal. The PILOTE RF has memorized the failure of the tamper protection of the siren N 01. None battery is connected to the PILOTE RF

Inputs status «8:INPUTS STATUS» The validation of this menu allows scrolling on the display the status of the two commands inputs. Example: 8 : INPUTS STATUS BL.SIR MISSING 1.5 s. CMD ARMED 1.5 s Version of the software «9 : SOFT VERSION» The validation of this menu allows knowing the version of the PILOTE RF software. The PILOTE RF displays the version during 2 seconds and returns to the technical menu. 2 s. 9 : SOFT VERSION VERSION Reset of the memory «0 : RESET FACTORY» This menu allows doing a general reset of the memory. 0 : RESET FACTORY CONFIRM RESET? WAIT RESET OK <<<BACK The PILOTE RF reprograms all its settings by default. The reset of the PILOTE RF memory does not reset the sirens that are associated with it. To do a reset of the sirens, see the paragraph

5.5. Exit of the programming mode There are three ways to exit the programming mode: Exit by pressing the buttons + & The first method is simultaneously to press the buttons + and until the PILOTE RF displays : CLOSE COVER When the cover is closed, the PILOTE RF displays: TAMPER CLOSED A few seconds after closing the cover, the PILOTE RF instructs the sirens to leave the programming. The system is then ready to operate Exit trough the menu The exit of the programming mode can also be done by validating the following menu: >EXIT< > PROG.< The PILOTE RF displays: CLOSE COVER When the cover is closed, the PILOTE RF displays: TAMPER CLOSED A few seconds after closing the cover, the PILOTE RF instructs the sirens to leave the programming mode. The system is then ready to operate Exit by closing directly the cover This is the simplest method to leave the programming mode. Close directly the cover of the PILOTE RF which displays: TAMPER CLOSED A few seconds after closing the cover, the PILOTE RF instructs the sirens to leave the programming. The system is then ready to operate. The PILOTE RF displays too the inputs status by leaving the programming, as well as presents failures of the system (see 4.6 Failures signalling)

6. RESET OF THE SIRENS Each siren or PILOTE RF has a unique identification number programmed in the factory. When a siren is associated with a PILOTE RF, they send each other their identifications codes and they record them in their EEPROM memory which retains the information even without power. If a siren must be replaced, it must first be deleted (separated) of the wireless network of its PILOTE RF before associating its successor. There are two methods to do a RESET of one siren: 6.1. RESET through the PILOTE RF In the technical menu of the PILOTE RF, choose the function «DELETE SIREN» and select the N of the siren that must to be deleted before validating (see 5.4.6). Without this operation, the siren and the PILOTE RF will continue to try to establish the interrupted communication and will trigger the supervision alarm if it is activated RESET on the siren If the PILOTE RF is not available and if you want to do a reset of the siren, follow this procedure: 1- Remove the cover of the siren 2- Disconnect the batteries and wait a few seconds 3- Reconnect one of the two batteries while maintaining the reset button pressed during at least five seconds. 4- When the red LED of the siren starts to flash slowly, this is the indication that the RESET has been taken into account. 5- Release the button of the siren. 6- Connect the second battery of the siren if it should be used immediately, if not disconnect the batteries. WARNING Note 1: If the siren has already undergone a RESET or a deletion, there is no reaction from the red LED. Note 2 : If the reset is done on a siren while the PILOTE RF is operational, it is imperative to remove this siren in the technical menu of the PILOTE RF to avoid a supervision alarm (see 5.4.3)
