10 GROUND GAS GFM 435 The GFM435 is the ultimate spot monitoring device for ground gas monitoring in boreholes. As well as the standard features expected of this type of monitor the GFM435 incorporates two unique features to aid investigative work. 11 GROUND GAS GFM 610 The GFM610 monitor is a portable instrument designed specifically to detect the flow of gas into or out of ground boreholes on landfill and contaminated land sites and is a direct replacement for the popular GF60 instrument. At the heart of the GFM610 is a precision mass flow transducer. It is pre-programmed to calculate standard volumetric flow rates and total standard volumes for any given mixture of CH4, CO2 and air. The relative concentrations are entered by the operator before the test and the correction factors are automatically applied to the data and displayed on the screen. 19 FIXED SYSTEMS TVOC The TVOC is a fixed total VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) monitor. It is an extremely robust monitor and has a large clear display. It indicates the gas level in parts per million. The TVOC measures most VOC s including fuel vapours, solvent cleaners, paints, degreasers, adhesives and inks levels up to 1,000ppm. The TVOC can be used in a Zone 2 area without the need for safe barriers. Zone 1 area monitoring means barriers would be required. A 4-20 ma output allows integration into an existing gas system or a simple switching or data logging operation directly from the unit. 35 VIBRATION The HavMeter The HAVmeter is a small, durable device, carried throughout the working shift and magnetically attaches to hand held power tools and displays vibration exposure in line with the HSE s points system and alerts the employee on reaching legal limits. The HavMeter gives a running total of your vibration points exposure throughout the day and warns before high exposure levels are reached.
