A few of the key elements in our Fort Knox Vaults are shown, but to truly appreciate the craftsmanship and detail that goes into each and every Fort Knox Vault, you have to see them in person. 1¾" Total Thickness 10 Gauge Steel Plate Steel 1¼" Fire Protection Reinforced fire door Unique to Fort Knox Our Reinforced Fire Door adds two layers of fire protection to the ⅜" or ¼" solid steel plate, then it reinforces the door with additional 10-gauge steel for added security (three to four times more steel than other composite type doors). We have found a way to improve on the Reinforced Fire Door. This new folded door adds more steel to the door edge while giving us a cleaner looking edge. Fortress fold Unique to Fort Knox The innovation in our Fortress Fold door uses 21 st century technology. Fort Knox doors start with a solid plate of steel the complete size of the door. Using an uncut plate of steel creates rigidity and superior security. The next layer protects against heat and fire damage. To add additional protection, a folded 10-gauge steel jacket finalizes the 3rd layer of the Fortress Fold. TRIPLE RELOCKER SYSTEM Unique to Fort Knox Engineering one relocking system after another gives you the Triple Stack Relocker system in your Fort Knox vault. We have strategically folded the edge around the door making it the most secure body available and giving the door a deep recessed seat to make it virtually impossible to pry. Heavy Duty Star Corner Bolts Securing the corners of the door to prevent attacks by prying has been a longtime feature of Fort Knox vaults. A wide bolt for maximum surface area with long extensions of the bolts gives Fort Knox vaults the complete security lead in the industry. Drill boltguard Technical advantages abound with Fort Knox vaults. One of those is the Drill Boltguard. By adding tempered, hardened hard plate to possible vulnerable areas of the vault body keep your vault virtually impenetrable and drill resistant. 5 THE FIRE DIFFERENCE Limiting the thermal conductivity by lining the inside of our vaults with a proprietary blend of a hydrogen bond fireboard and locking it in place using a stud weld process allows Fort Knox to provide the industry s leading fire protection. 7 FORT KNOX S BALLISTIC PROTECTION ARMAKNOX Your vault can be upgraded to a Level 3 rated ballistic vault. Three times harder than regular steel, the heavy 7-gauge ArmaKnox AR 500 steel gives the vault the ability to withstand 3 shots from a.44 magnum pistol. Security comes in many levels and many different forms. Fort Knox allows you to select your level of security and the top end of that selection process is ArmaKnox. Add this AR500 metal to any one of the Fort Knox vaults and you have created your own personal Fort Knox. ArmaKnox is placed on all six sides of the vault as well as in the door for complete fortification. The high hardness of ArmaKnox steel is acquired through a continuous heat treatment process of a proprietary mix of additives.
