4 Protects with Fireboard in all the right places We have fire tested more than 250 safes some of which were the competitors. We ve learned what it takes to make a great fire safe. Here are the 3 key features built into every Remington Safe: 1. More 5/8" fireboard layers, balanced in all 4 key areas: ceiling, walls, door jambs, & door 2. Thicker steel in both body and door 3. An effective heat seal around the door.
