Conditions are expected to make it potentially one of the worst for many years. Focus Questions The triangle of fire is a model for understanding the 3 ingredients necessary for most fires - what are they? In which parts of Australia is the risk of bushfires greatest? Why do you think the fire season in Australia is expected to be one of the worst for many years? What kind of conditions have the potential to increase the risk of bushfires? What can firefighters do to minimize the risks? What is a burn-off? How does a burn-off decrease the risk of a bushfire? What might be the danger of a burn-off? What can people living in bushfire prone areas do to prepare their property and minimize the risk? Listening A What are the 3 ingredients of most fires?
