Introduction Honeywell is pleased to offer dealer incentives when purchasing our CAS 100B TCAS / ACAS II Traffic Computer products and the MST 67A Mode S Transponder. List, Dealer and Promotion pricing are included in this bulletin. This Sales Bulletin will be replaced with a 2012 version effective 1 January 2012, with appropriate adjustments to prices. 2. Program Description 2.1 CAS-100B TRAFFIC COMPUTER The CAS-100B (TPA-100B) TCAS Processor Traffic Computer is the latest addition to the Honeywell TCAS family and is available in both 6 MCU and 4 MCU form factors. This product builds on the functionality of the CAS-100A Surveillance Processor by adding RTCA DO-185B (Change 7.1), Airborne Traffic Situational Awareness (ATSAW), and RTCA DO-300 (Hybrid Surveillance) functionality as software only updates Capabilities The CAS-100B functionality meets the requirements for an ACAS II system as defined in RTCA DO- 185B. The current ACAS II capabilities include: 1) Traffic Information - The TCAS interfaces with the aircraft display system to provide visual indications of intruder aircraft. This information includes intruder altitude, bearing, range, and threat level. 2) Collision Avoidance - The TCAS utilizes collision avoidance algorithms as defined in DO- 185B to provide resolution advisory commands in the vertical plane. 3) Active Surveillance - Using RF interrogations at 1030 MHz, the TCAS is capable of actively tracking other Mode C and Mode S equipped aircraft out to 80 to 100 nm. 3 2.1.2 ADS-B IN Growth Capability In addition to the standard TCAS functions listed above, the CAS-100B Traffic Computer will be software upgradeable to incorporate ADS-B IN functionality above the standard ACAS II system including: 1) Passive Surveillance CAS-100B has the capability to receive and process ADS-B squitters at 1090 MHz that are transmitted from other aircraft. The information received and processed from the ADS-B squitters includes aircraft identification, aircraft position and aircraft velocity. The range for passive surveillance is greater than 100 nautical miles. 2) Hybrid Surveillance TCAS utilizes the algorithms defined in DO-300 to enable the use of intruder data received using passive surveillance. This surveillance technique provides greater intruder situational awareness and enables TCAS to reduce its active interrogation rate by using position information received passively via ADS-B. 3) ADS-B IN Applications ATSA-AIRB Airborne Traffic Situational Awareness ATSA-ITP Flight Level Changes using In-Trail Procedures in Oceanic Airspace lead to enhanced efficiency via reduced longitudinal separation (15 NM will be sufficient for a flight level change compared to 80 NM today), significant fuel savings due to optimum flight level, and better awareness of the traffic situation during flight level change procedure. ATSA-VSA Visual Separation Approach makes it easier for flight crews to acquire and maintain own visual contact with the preceding aircraft. Flight crews can maintain a more precise distance from the preceding aircraft (anticipating speed change). Also VSA provides potential runway capacity improvements in Visual Meteorological Condition (VMC) and Alternate VMC. 4) Functional Growth - Using its abilities for more accurate intruder location and identification, the Traffic Computer can be an integral component of future aircraft capabilities such as enhanced situational awareness on the Airport Surface (ATSA-SURF) The ADS-B IN growth functions will be implemented through software upgrades to the CAS-100B Traffic Computer. In some instances, additional aircraft modifications (including wiring changes and display upgrades) may be required to implement the additional features. 2.2 MST 67A Mode S Transponder Representing a full range of Mode S transponder performance, the compact MST 67A series offers all the capabilities of heavier airline-type units in a much smaller package. Optimized for corporate and regional aircraft, the third-generation MST 67A series weighs just 8.5 lbs. Incorporating such advanced features as a 16-bit microprocessor, programmable gate array digital signal processing and standing acoustical wave technology, the MST 67A provides unsurpassed datalink capability. Fully TSO d, the remote-mounted MST 67A is equipped with standard ARINC 400- series connectors for easy installation. Including diversity models which are compatible with TCAS Page 3 of 9

4 II/ACAS II, the MST 67A series is an ideal technology update for operators considering TCAS/ACAS provisioning. Meeting all current worldwide identification/surveillance standards, the MST 67A also interprets Mode A and Mode C formats to provide immediate value. 3. Applications 3.1 New Installations For TCAS-specific technical information or to obtain system description and installation manuals for the CAS 100B system, call (800) or us at aerotechsupport@honeywell.com. 3.2 Replacement of CAS-81A For aircraft equipped with the CAS-81A TCAS II, the replacement with the CAS-100B is virtually a plug-and play replacement, with the appropriate certification documentation being done by the installer. 3.3 Replacement of CAS-67A For aircraft equipped with CAS-67A TCAS II, the replacement will require the replacement of the mounting tray and the connectors, plus the installation of the ANT-81A Direction Antenna(s) in place of the ANT-67A antenna(s). Appropriate certification documentation will be required. 3.4 Replacement of Third Party TCAS computers For TCAS-specific technical information or to obtain system description and installation manuals for the CAS 100B system, call (800) or us at aerotechsupport@honeywell.com. 4. 6 5.3 Replacement of Third Party TCAS computers For purchase of a CAS-100B TCAS Processor Traffic Computer to replace any competitor s TCAS II, Honeywell will provide a Trade-In Credit of $12,000 for the return of the competitor s unit. 6. Trade-In Instructions The CAS-100B components will be purchased at the Promotional Dealer Net Price contained in the Section 4 Tables of this Sales Bulletin. The TCAS Processor to be traded must be complete with all parts inside and the Sales Bulletin Number prominently written on the package. The removed TCAS Computer should be returned to Honeywell within 45 days from receipt of the new unit to qualify for the trade-in allowance noted above. Failure to return the unit within 45 days from receipt of the new CAS-100 may result in a delay in the issuance of the appropriate credit to your account. To return the removed unit and to initiate the trade-in credit a Return Material Authorization (RMA) must be requested at Returns@Honeywell.com.
